The Boy woke up in the middle of the forest. "Where am I?" he asked.
"You're in the forest outside of Beiton" a voice said.
The boy looked around and realized that he wasn't alone. Behind him was a girl with brown mid-length hair and brown eyes, she was wearing Jeans and a t-shirt.
There was also an old man beside her wearing a robe that made him look like a monk.
The girl spoke again "Who are you?" He blinked "Who are you?"
he paused to think "I-I don't know"
"Well, I'm Ami this is my grandfather..."
"how do you do" her grandfather interrupted.
"I feel pretty good except for the fact that, well, I don't seem to remember anything."
"How do you not know who you are? Do you know where you're from? Or your name?" Ami pressed.
"I don't remember anything"
"Ami let's postpone training for now" the grandfather suggested "let's take him back home he obviously isn't well."
The man reached down and pulled the boy up
"but, Grandfather!"
"Shhhh, calm down we'll train later" he soothed
"Alright" she frowned "What do we call you anyway?" she asked the boy?
"It doesn't matter much to me"
"Then I'll call you Kal. Doesn't he look like a Kal Grandfather?"
Grandfather looked at Kal "How do you feel aout that" he asked him.
"I guess it's as good a name as any" Kal shrugged.
"Well then let's get you back to our home and feed you" grandfather said as he started to lead the two of them down a path that stretched through the forest. When Kal started to walk two items dropped from his pocket.
Ami pounced on them
"Aha, you have a Beyblade and a Launcher you must be a blader right?"
"Whats a Beyblade?"
"Wow you really don't remember anything do you. Beyblades are Tops that people use their spirits to fight with they're kind of a big thing around here. I've never seen one like this before though"

"My guess is something happened to you on your way to the Beyblade tournament Beiton is holding tomorrow" Said Grandfather with a strange look on his face. "Anyway let's get you to my home"
They all head down the path.

At Grandfathers House
"So what were you guys doing in the forest" Kal asked through a mouthful of food.
"Grandfather was taking me out to train with my Beyblade. We're working on a special move to use with my current Beyblade"
"Could you, maybe, help me with learning how to use mine?"
"you would have to ask grandfather he would really be better at that."
Kal looked at grandfather questioningly.
"Actually Ami I think that you could get better yourself if you train someone else." he said smiling "but, I will teach you some of the basics"  he said to Kal.
"Can you teach him now? I need to prepare for the tournament tomorrow."
"Oh yeah, what is this about a tournament. how big is it that I would have been coming from out of town?"
"Honestly, I believe you are the first Blader to come from out of town for one of our tournaments." Grandfather Informed Kal
"We're not really known for our Beyblades"
"Why?"
Ami Jumped in "you'll see tomorrow. Now hurry up so that we can train."
"let's begin" grandfather said as he walked over to a cupboard. He reached in and removed a well worn Beylauncher and Grip. Putting them aside he removed a Beyblade that appeared well cared for.
"first" He said turning to Kal "hold your launcher like this and place your Beyblade on it like this. Then simply pull this part out as hard and as fast as you can." he demonstrated. "I will let Ami teach you how to attack and defend." he put the Beyblade back in the cupboard.
"What are you waiting for come on" Ami said grabbing her things and running out the door. Kal followed her but, stopped at the door "Thank you" he said "you are very kind"
"You are very welcome" Grandfather replied with a sad sort of smile "now go on Ami won't wait long"
In the forest training area
"So this is where you and your grandfather were heading when you met me?"
"yup, now get ready" Ami got into her launching stance Beyblade ready.
"Now we both say '321 let it rip!' right?"
"Right"
"3 2 1 LET IT RIP!"
"Attack Fay" Ami called her Beyblade began barraging Kal's Beyblade.
"No fair, you didn't tell me how to do anything"
"Grandfather always says that you need to look inside yourself to learn about your Bey." Ami said "Fay, finish it" Starter Fay circled and blasted Kal's Bey out of the marked out area.
"Let's try again"

"I have it, I remember it's name!" Kal said excitedly "Elixir Drude Defense" Drude spun away from Fay and retreated to the center.
Ami looked shocked "That's the first time you've escaped one of my attacks, no matter though Fay, Dance of Fairies." Fay drove straight at Drude. Drude easily deflected her attack.
"Fay Attack"
Drude held it's ground.

Finally Fay toppled over. Ami looked stunned
"Does that mean I won?" asked Kal
"Yes, I guess we've found out what type your Beyblade is."
"Type"
"Yes" said Ami "There are three main types of Beyblade: Stamina, attack, and defense. yours is clearly defense."
"Are we done training now?"
"Sure, but, if you enter the tournament remember to use your Bey's defense"
Kal looked at Ami surprised. "Do you really think I should enter the tournament?"
"Yeah, I don't think you'll win or anything. However you are pretty good"
"Thanks"
"No problem I need to go home now. Go back to Grandfathers house he'll let you spend the night."
They both head down the path back to Beiton

Tournament Day

Kal and Ami approach the Tournament area in Beiton Town Square.

"There aren't that many people here are there?"
"This is all of the Bladers in town" Ami answered "There just isn't that many of us"
"Why don't more people come from out of town?"
"Here, let's watch the first A block battle and you can see why."
People are cheering on the contestants as they battle. Pieces of Beyblades surround the arena.

"Attack" one of the bladers yells
"You won't beat me that easily." The other responds "Bey Counter"
As the two Beyblades smash into each other there is a loud crack and the metal wheel of one of them splits apart.
"Aw, man!"
"The winner of the first A block battle is Saul" The Ref announces "What an exciting first battle! will the members of the B block be able to compete? Will the B block members please step forward."
"Wait a second what happened?" Kal looked at Ami "Why did they break like that?"
"That is why people don't come from out of town for these battles. The town Smith, my father, doesn't want people to try and battle the Beymaster so he makes them all have defects so they can't battle too hard."
"And people are okay with that?" Kal said stunned
"As far as people around here know all Beyblades are like that. Please don't tell anyone." Ami said pleadingly
"Don't worry I won't"
"Thanks, You are in the D block it's just over there" she points to the other side of the square. "I have to go now good luck!" She runs off to the arena. Kai heads over to the other arena.
"Are you in the C block kid?" asks an official
"No I'm in the D block"
"In that case wait over there until the C block is over"
"Okay, thanks" Kal settles in to watch the C block Battle.

Meanwhile

Ami is battling and is easily beating the other members of the B block with the skills her grandfather taught her.
"Fay attack" She calls sending the remaining two Beys flying.
"Let's hear it for Ami, Winner of the B block. Ami and Saul will be advancing to the final free-for-all battle along with the winners of the other two blocks"
The crowd cheers and starts heading towards the other arena.

C Block Battle

"Have I missed anything?" Ami asks when she find Kal at the C block battle.
"Not really. No one has been eliminated yet"
"Who's the best, would you say?"
"I'm no expert, well, maybe I am, but I would say that guy over there." Kal points to a confident looking blader that is attacking a group of others
"I know him. That's Sam he's won the last three years running. He's the one to beat this year."
Kal points to another blader that is wearing a coat with the arms tied around his neck and the hood pulled up. "I think he's one of the worse Bladers he just avoids all attacks"
"That's odd I don't recognize him. What's he doing with a hood on? It's like, a million degrees out." At that moment the crowd roars.
"Sam has eliminated three of the C block competitors in one hit" The announcer says over the noise of the crowd. "There are only a few more Bladers left. Who will win?"
"Wow, he is good!" Kal says
"Yeah I expect he'll be one of the finalists I have to battle"
"Oh, I completely forgot to ask about your match. I take it you won."
"There wasn't much competition" Ami says "Hey, the weird guy's doing something."
"I'm tired of this" the hooded blader announces "Is there no one here worth battling?" he says as he, for the first time,  meets an attack he deflects the Beyblade into one of the other Beyblades, eliminating them both.
"You think you're rather high and might don't you" says Sam "come on guys let's teach him."
"That guy is done for" Ami says with a shake of her head "Facing Sam alone would be hard enough without everyone joining him."
"Why doesn't he look worried?" Kal asks
Ami looks over, sure enough the hooded Beyblader appears to be smiling
"What a joke, L-Drage Attack!" he commands his Beyblade suddenly shoots out of the center and smashes into the other Beyblades. Dust is kicked up. Everyone covers their eyes.
Ami looks up "I-I can't believe it. He beat all of them in one hit."
Sure enough there in the middle is L-Drage still spinning strong.
The announcer clears his throat "What a stunning upset Here in the C block today. A newcomer has faced all of the remaining Bladers  and emerged victorious. Let's give him a hand." The stunned crowd claps hesitantly
"Will the D block Bladers please step forward"
"I guess that's me"
"Good Luck Kal!"
"Thanks"

D Block Battle

The announcer entered the judging area
"Is everyone ready for the battle to begin?"
"YEAH"
"3 2 1 LET IT RIP"
"Drude defense!"
"Attack him Bey" One of the other bladers noticed Kal's defense stance.
His Beyblade grinds against Drude pushing it back.
"You're done now"
CRACK
"Attack Drude"
Drude starts to push the other Bey back. Suddenly it cracks.
"Man!"
"Nate has been eliminated by one of the newcomers, There are just three Beyblades left in the battle!"
Kal looked around and realized that while he had been battling with Nate most of the other Beyblades had been eliminated.
"Let's get him"
"Yeah!"
"Run Drude!"
The other two bladers chase Drude around the rim.
"Why don't you catch him?"
"Me? What about you?"
"Attack that Bey"
The two bladers begin to battle each other.
Kal seeing his opening orders
"Drude attack the middle!"
Drude charges and smashes the space in between the other two Beyblades. Sending one flying.
"There are only two bladers left in the D Block who will be the last finalist!?"
"Drude Attack!"
"Bey Attack!"
The two Beyblades barrage each other with hits. Drude however has more stamina left and Stamina outs the remaining Bey.
"Let's hear it for the last finalist..." The announcer leans over "What's your name?"
"Kal"
"Let's hear it for the last finalist, Kal!"
CHEERS
"Now we are actually behind schedule so let's jump right into the Finals. Will all finalists come to arena 2?"

Ami enters the stadium area.
"Hey Kal, Let's work together and face each other once the others are eliminated."
Kal smiles "Sound good to me."
The hooded Blader chuckles and draws back his hood revealing red hair with a white streak.
"What's so funny?" Ami demands
"You two. I, Ryuichi, am the one that will win. Me and Singularity L-Drage"
He holds up his Beyblade

"You three are all forgetting about me" Saul complains
"It looks like the competitors are fired up and ready!"
"3 2 1 LET IT RIP"
L-Drage immediately takes the center of the stadium.
"Attack Drage" Saul and Ami both order at the same time.
The two Beyblade charge at L-Drage.
"L-Drage Deflect"
L-Drage shifts slightly and deflects Saul's Bey at Fay.
The two Beyblades hit with a crack.
Saul's bey goes airborne. Ami seeing her chance orders Fay to attack it in the air.
"Can I help Ami?" Kal asks
"Just stay back" Ami looks thoughtful "If a big hit doesn't work then, I'll try many small hits. Fay Barrage!"
Fay using small quick hits starts to drive L-Drage back.
"Do you really think that's the best I can do?" Ryuichi asks "L-Drage Circle and Attack."
L-Drage Breaks away from Fay and starts cirlcling the stadium extremely fast in the oppisite drection as Fay.
"What! How!"
"L-Drage Smash Mode"

L-Drage Smashes into Fay. Fay hits the wall hard and shatters
"NO FAY"
Ami drops to her knees.
"Drude Attack Drage"
"Oh, let's just end this here. Special move L-Drage, Dragon King Firestrike!"

There is a flash of light and everyone turns away when they look back L-Drage is the only one spinning.
Ryuichi recalls his Beyblade and walks away.
"Are you okay?" Kal asks Ami
"Fay is gone."

Kal helped Ami through the door of her grandfather's house Ami slumped into a chair.
"What happened?" Asked Grandfather "What's wrong Ami?"
Ami opened her hand soundlessly and let the remains of Cyber Fay fall to the table.
"Fay is gone." She said flatly.
"Kal what happened?"
"We were in the finals and Ami was battling some guy she was winning but then Fay shattered."
"Are you all right Ami?"
"Fay is gone."
"That's all she's said since it happened. What's wrong with her?"
Grandfather sighed. "When a blader makes a strong connection with their Beyblade it can break a part of them if that connection is lost."
"Ami told me this kind of thing happens a lot around here." Kal remarked "She said her father makes them weak."
"Her father didn't make Cyber Fay."
"Then who did?"
"Me."
"You made it?"
"Yes, Ami has had Fay for years This has given her a connection with her Bey most people here don't have." Grandfather looked away from Ami and stared at Kal. "This person she battled... What was his Bey?"
Kal looked confused. "He called it L-Drage. Why?"
"Kal this is important. Was it a Dragon Bey."
"I thought I saw a dragon when he attacked Drude yeah."
Grandfather wilted "I had hoped she had more time." He shook Ami gently "Ami look you and Kal are going to have to leave town."
Ami started and blinked "What, now?"
"Yes, now" Grandfather bundled around his kitchen packing food into a bag.
"Here" he handed it to Kal
"Ami take this." He handed her a letter. "This will explain."
He pushed them towards the door. "Read it when you are outside of town." At the door he stopped "Wait" he turned and headed to the cupboard. He withdrew his Beyblade and Launcher.
"Ami take this"
"But, Grandfather it's yours."
"And now it is yours." he said firmly
"Hammer Tvastar will take care of you."



"What's going on?" Asked Kal
"The letter will explain Kal but, for now you two need to leave town fast."
He pushed them out the door. "Ami I love you. I will explain to your father when he gets home from his trip" He looked at Kal "Take care of her Kal. Now hurry!"
Kal took Ami's hand Ami looked to still be in shock let him pull her along.

"Yes, now" Grandfather bundled around his kitchen packing food into a bag.
"Here" he handed it to Kal
"Ami take this." He handed her a letter. "This will explain."
He pushed them towards the door. "Read it when you are outside of town." At the door he stopped "Wait" he turned and headed to the cupboard. He withdrew his Beyblade and Launcher.
"Ami take this"
"But, Grandfather it's yours."
"And now it is yours." he said firmly
"Hammer Tvastar will take care of you."



"What's going on?" Asked Kal
"The letter will explain Kal but, for now you two need to leave town fast."
He pushed them out the door. "Ami I love you. I will explain to your father when he gets home from his trip" He looked at Kal "Take care of her Kal. Now hurry!"
Kal took Ami's hand Ami looked to still be in shock let him pull her along.

Kal and Ami ran until they reached the town border. "Kal, let's read grandfather's letter."
Kal looked behind him worriedly.
"I don't know your grandfather said we should get out of town."
"Please!" Ami pleaded "It'll just take a second"
"Okay..."

The letter said.
Dear Ami,

If you are reading this then the time has come. I had hoped it might not be true.

Anyway several years ago your aunt (my daughter) started having visions. She told me that they were of a terrible future. She was convinced that if certain strong bladers combined forces they could prevent this future from occurring. She told me that one of these bladers was your fathers unborn child. Although I've never told you this before this is why your father started making Beyblades weak. He was convinced that he could prevent you from needing to be a part of his sister's prophecy.

Once you were born your aunt took one look at you and decided that she must protect you and gather the other bladers herself. She left me a note that she instructed me to give you when the unknown one arrived.

She said that there were also other groups that wanted these bladers for their own purposes.
I will have given you my Beyblade to keep you safe.

You must gather these bladers yourself since your aunt did not return.

Her note said

"What time is it?" Ami exclaimed
"According to the clock half past 3."
"We need to find that guy from the tournament. He must be the Dragon King's son."
"That fine but, we have no idea where he went" Kal pointed out.
"Excuse me." A kid walks over to the two. "I couldn't overhearing you two. You are the second and third placers in the tournament. Right?"
"Yes I'm Ami he is Kal"
"Are you looking for the winner of the tournament?"
"Yes" said Kal "Do you know where he went?"
"Yes."
"Tell us please!" Ami begged
"Tell you what, I'll make you a deal. It sound like you two are going on an adventure. I'd like to come with you."
"Why!?" Ami asked
"My family used to be great Beyblade mechanics and analysts. Since my grandparents moved to this tow however, the amount of Beyblades passing through has slowed. I want to see new amazing Beyblades. Besides me, My mechanic skills, and my Fort Shield Metal-Track Rubber ball might come in handy."



"All right, all right!" Kal exclaimed "You can come."
"Hurry, where did he go?" Ami pressured.
"He went East. We can probably catch him before he reaches the next town."
The boy reached down and grabbed a case.
the three run off down the road.
"By the way what's your name?" Ami questioned
"Call me Lee"

Meanwhile in town
Boom
The Beyblade stadium blows apart.
"He's not here master." a boy says to a cloaked figure.
"His Beyblade left traces here recently" a girl finished.
The cloaked figure stands.
"Find him, and bring him to me."

"So Lee, what exactly does a Bey analyst do?" Ami asked
"Well, basically I use my computer to scan Beyblades in action. I can use the information I gain to suggest strategies or combos for you Beyblade."
"That's cool Lee, but, are we almost there" Kal asked panting.
"It's just ahead." Lee replied
The three broke through the trees and came out in a clearing overlooking a large town.
"This town is huge. How are we going to find him now?"
"Just a sec." Lee bent down and opens his case revealing Beyblade parts and a high tech computer.
"We don't have time for you to use your computer." Ami protested "We need to find him in the next 10 minutes."
"This will help." Lee removes a device from the computer. "All Beyblades leave a distinctive trail for 24 hours after a hard battle."
"So it can track him?" Kal asks
"Yes, it should" Lee looks up at Ami and Kal. "It will be difficult because there are usually many bladers in the area, and the signals may get confused." Lee looks back at the tracker "Huh, that's odd"
"What is it? Did you find him?" Ami pushed
"Yeah..."
"Then what's the problem?"
"You would think that in a town this size there would be many bladers right?"
"Obviously." Ami said
"But" Lee continued "Other than you two the tracker says there are only three bladers in town."
"How is that possible?" Kal jumped in
"I don't know but two are right here at the local Beypark" Lee points to the screen
"The other must be who we're looking for" Ami exclaimed "He's heading to the park now!"
"Where is the park Lee?" Kal asked
"You can see it from here" Lee pointed "It's the tallest building in town."
"Odd for a town with two bladers" Kal remarked
"let's hurry!" Ami started running Kal followed
"Hey! Wait for me!" Lee packed his case and followed.

Ami, Kal, and Lee arrived at the Beypark out of breath
"Look there he is!" Ami pointed
Someone was entering the building
"We found him!" cheered Lee "Now what?"
"Now we see what he knows" Ami ran into the building
"Shall we follow her?"
"Yes she might need help"
Kal and Lee followed Ami

Meanwhile

Two figures, a boy and a girl, enter the clearing above town.
"He went there." the girl points
The boy agreed
They both head towards the Beypark

Back at the park

Ami, Lee, and Kal enter the arena area
"Wow!" says Ami looking at the stadium
"That" says Lee "is an all terrain Beystadium. It can be set to be a forest, a desert, water, or anything else."
"Hey! You!" two boys step forward one taller and muscular and the other slimmer.
"What are you doing on our turf?" the taller one demanded
"Your turf?" Lee protested "Beyparks are public areas"
"Not anymore" the slimmer boy smirked "Me and Carl here own it now"
"Since you three intruded you must take our challenge" Carl added
"What challenge?" Ami said "We're busy right now let us past"
"Nuh uh. You'll have to beat us in a no holds barred two on two battle first. If you win we will let you pass" Carl said
"If you lose we get your Beyblade tracks and tips" added Slim
"We accept." Ami stepped forward "Me and Kal will battle you"
"I'll give you guys strategic advice Lee said setting up his laptop."

Kal and Ami must battle Carl and Slim. Will Kal and Ami be victorious? Or will they loose their tracks and chances of catching up to Ryuichi?

"Slim, go set the stadium to Forest" Carl ordered
"Right away" Slim replied
"Well Lee, looks like you have a chance to show us what this Beyblade analysing is all about." Ami said stretching her arms

Rumble

The stadium starts to shake and miniature trees start to rise out of the stadium.
"Welcome to the forest" Carl sneered "Your own personal Waterloo"
"Get ready Ami!" Kal called
All four bladers take their launching stances.

Lee starts counting down

Drude and Tvastar land near Carl and Slim and take off
Carl and Slim's Beys land near Kal and Ami

"Attack Tvastar!"
Tvastar charges across the stadium towards Slim's Beyblade, Contacts, and glances off.
"What!" Ami yells what happened
Lee looks at his computer "Before you had a Cyber Fay. Right Ami?"
"Yeah"
"Well, the Cyber Wheel has three small smash points. Meaning that a hit is guaranteed. Hammer on the other hand is a Defense/Attack mix and has one large smash point. The rest is perfectly smooth. This means that a fine level of control is needed to hit the opponent with the smash point or with the smooth defensive part."

"What can you tell us about their Beyblades?" Kal asks
"Well, Slim's Beyblade is Retainer Tengu the Metal Wheel has four upper attack slopes.










It is a Attack type and has a Metal track for extra smashing power. 




It also has a Rubber Split Flat, a rubber flat with less grip. 


Given that both Drude and Tvastar are partly defense types he shouldn't be a threat."

Lee looks at Ami and Kal
"Carl on the other hand has a Beyblade with Attack, Stamina, and Defense capibilites, Tempest Susanoo.





it has a WD tip."

Carl interrupts "Blah, Blah, Blah. Enough talking. Shall we finish this quick Slim?"
"You got it"
"Gang special move Winged Tornado!"
A swirling wind rises from Susanoo and starts to solidify soon there is a...
"A tornado?!" Ami gasps "Tvastar attack Tengu"
Tvastar charges and "hammers" Tengu into the tornado.
"Take that!"
"hahaha" Slim laughs
"What's so funny" Ami demands
"Do you really think we would be dumb enough to have a special move that could take me out?" Slim retorts "Tengu land"
Tengu floats down.
"Aha! Susanoo's track Turbine.


Forces air up and the Tempest stirs it into a tornado." Lee announces
"Thanks. Now how can Tengu handle the wind and we can't?" Kal replies
"The wings on Tengu force Tengu down and the slits in the Tip allow air to pass through."
"Drude Attack Susanoo"
Drude grinds against the tornado and is thrown away cracking one of the trees

"Tengu give the tornado wings."
Tengu starts to multiply and rush into the tornado.
"What's he doing now?" Ami looks at Lee
"I don't know none of the parts of Tengu should allow this" Lee panics
Ami turns to Slim "How are you doing this?"
"Simple I invented a generator that allow my Beyblade to duplicate indefinitely. It is stored in the track."
"But, that's cheating" Ami protested
"Uhuhuh. No holds barred" Carl reminds her
"GRRRRR. Kal get ready!"
"For what?"
"Tvastar attack Drude"
Tvastar charges Drude and smashes it at Susanoo, Drude has so much force behind it that it pierces the tornado and hits Susanoo. The tornado shudders.
"Genius!" Kal praises Ami "Alone neither of us can reach Susanoo but, working together we can beat it."
"I hate to break up your party but, Tornado Shuriken!" Carl smirks
A Tengu clone shoots out of the tornado and clips Tvastar. More slice at the trees around Drude. Drude dips around the trees to doge them but, a Tengu clone hits home and sends it flying from the stadium.
"One down one to go" Cheers Slim
"You guys aren't fighting fair" Tvastar weaves through the trees.
"Why don't we even this up a bit?" Someone asks
Another Beyblade is launched into the stadium. It rebounds off of some trees and smashes through the tornado into Susanoo. The tornado breaks down sending the Tengu's crashing down. Ami sees her chance and attacks Susanoo driving it into the Tengu's. The mysterious Beyblade finishes off Susanoo.
The blader flips from the bleachers, and catches the Beyblade.
"Aw, not you again." Carl moans
"Who are you?" asks Ami
"I'm Hope and this is Volcanic Draco"

A giant bunker somewhere under Roswell

A timid looking man in a lab coat enters a dark office. He stand before a desk and nervously clears his throat.

Ahem

The chair swivels revealing a menacing man.

"Yes, Smith what is it?" He barks
Smith shifts nervously.
"The procedure is done General."
"And?"
"All appears to be going well"
"Very good. I don't want a repeat of project Charlie. You hear me?"
Smith looks down "Yes sir."
"The embryo is doing well?"
"The embryo has not yet shown any ill effects from the alien DNA."
"And projects Alpha, Bravo, and Delta?"
"Also, doing well."
"You are dismissed."
Smith walks towards the door halting for a second before leaving and walks down a hallway.
Smith stops in front of a door labeled C and enters.

"Hello, Charlie" Smith says reaching down and picking up a baby." I know what we've been doing is wrong. I know I can't make up for that but, I've finally found a way out of here and you are coming with me."

Smith takes the baby out of the room and continues down the hallway.
"I can't help all of them, but I can help you."
He reaches over and pulls a fire alarm when it starts going he pushes open a trapdoor in the ceiling revealing the sky at the end of a tunnel.
"We are going to have a new life Charlie."
He ties the baby to his back with his lab coat and begins to climb.

Kal was in a strange purple mist that kept him from seeing much further than his hand.
"Ami? Lee? Are you there?"
"They are not here Kal. This is a dream."
"Who said that?"
"I did"
Suddenly some of the mist began to clear.
Kal's mouth dropped open as through the clearing mist he saw a creature that looked like a cross between a Demon and a Dragon.
"W-W-W-What are you?"
"Do you not remember me Kal?"
"I've never seen you before!"
"I am Drude. The one who presides in Elixir Drude. At first I thought that you had abandoned me, after several battles without calling me out."
"Calling you out? Out of what?"
"Your Beyblade Kal. Now listen I don't have much time. You have a dream block set on you."
Drude pauses and holds up a talon seeing Kal's questioning look.
"Listen! A dream block is a cruel method of separating a Blader and their partner beast. I realized that you had a strong one on you keeping even me out. I am working on breaking it piece by piece. For now I can only let you know that you can call on me at any time. Now I need to go Kal, I will see you later."

The mist starts to thicken again.

"Wait!" Kal calls out "Who am I?"
"You are Kal, the dreamer" Drude says fading out of sight. Drude's voice floated back through the mist.
"You will wake now Kal remember this dream!"

Kal woke up to Ami shaking him.
"Kal, Kal, Kal! Are you okay?"
"You were trashing around a lot" Lee tells him "I went and got Ami to wake you up."
"Where are we?"
"We're at a motel, remember? Hope helped us check in here for the night"
"Oh, yeah!" Kal says waking up fully "Sorry about that I was just having a weird dream"
"You must have been exhausted" Lee says "You were out as soon as you touched the bed."
"Oh, no!"
"What is it Kal?" Ami asks
"We didn't catch up to that guy."
"Me and Lee talked about that after you fell asleep, and he pointed out that technically we found him. We just didn't talk to him. Now both of you go back to sleep and we'll talk more in the morning."
"Sure Ami"
"Sure Ami"
Ami leaves their room and heads back to her room.
Lee's voices pipes up "What was that dream about anyway?"
"I'll tell you tomorrow Lee. Goodnight."
"Goodnight!"
Kal falls into a dreamless sleep.
