Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - ~Mana~ - May. 22, 2016 9) Confronting the Flying Dragon, Wyvern! 立ちはだかる飛竜(ワイバーン)! Tachihadakaru hiryō (waibān)! May 30th, 2016 Short Summary "Valt's next opponent is his powerful rival, Wakiya! Wakiya, who is interested in Valt, lures him out by ordering a delivery of bread. Furthermore Wakiya, who has started taking an interest in Valt, lures him out by ordering a delivery of bread and forcefully begins a battle!" Everyone excited for Obelisk Odin? RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - FIREFIRE CPB - May. 22, 2016 wow finally some awesome battle + odin RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - TL14 - May. 22, 2016 It's awesome that there's finally a character with hearing abilities that are over average. I'm very exited for that. RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - Jinbee - May. 22, 2016 Wow, I wonder what the parts will be, probably Central Blow, otherwise I've never heard Odin parts being announced. RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - Kai-V - May. 23, 2016 It is not being released before June, so the parts will be announced in a few weeks. We will likely not see Obelisk Odin precisely in this episode yet. RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - ~Mana~ - May. 23, 2016 I'd expect a mention, and nothing more. Horusood was mentioned but wasn't shown, so I wouldn't rule out Orochi at least mentioning Odin. I thought the episode was... okay. It has a different set-up as it doesn't rely on being centered around just Valt battling in the tournament but rather him battling Wakiya at his house. Valt and Mrs Aoi (forgot her real name) deliver bread to a customer who turns out to be Wakiya (with Orochi tagging along) and then the battle begins... only for Wakiya to defeat Valt 3-0 with little effort which made Valt extremely devastated and then seems to thrown a tantrum (possibly losing faith in Valkyrie and his favourite technique). It was a different episode and whilst it sounds interesting, it was a pretty mild episode that just felt really forced (as the tantrum isn't needed for such a mild battle) and Orochi wasn't needed in this (it's not like his next opponent is Valt or anything). RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - Bey Brad - May. 31, 2016 Thought of Wild Wyvern .V.O beating anything 3-0 requires a suspension of disbelief that I don't think I'm capable of, even for Beyblade. RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - ~Mana~ - May. 31, 2016 "WYVERN IS GREAT BUY OUR PRODUCT YAAAAAAAAY" I haven't watched the episode yet. I'm normally one to leave it until the Tuesday and watch it while editing the script for our subs. Sounds like the situation was pretty forced though, and the episode played out exactly as the preview synopsis suggested. I guess... it can beat Trident Oval Quake?... I mean at least make W2s teeth like K2s. Though is W2VO winning any more unbelievable than S2 beating K2 3-0, let alone bursting it? Their unsubtlety of advertising by showing the parts close up is the usual, it could be worse, MUCH WORSE a.k.a angle compass in MFB episode 21 scene. RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - Kai-V - May. 31, 2016 (May. 31, 2016 12:48 AM)Jinbee Wrote: My thoughts: It sounded almost promising albeit an overreaction, as you mentioned, based on the synopsis for the next episode, but now that I know that it was not even a battle part of the tournament and that losing really has no impact on his standing, Beypoints or even life at all, no, that is definitely not enough drama for me hah. No my friend, that was every time we saw a new part in MFB. The angle compass was pretty bad tho. RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - AaryanBITW - Jun. 01, 2016 Lol the commercials I liked the episode! RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - Bey Brad - Jun. 01, 2016 I don't care about how prominently they feature the products in the show. Actually, since most people watching this probably think the toys are cool, I'd like them to be featured. But the framing of it should be interesting. I watched this but it was just boring. Valt's reaction makes no sense. RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - ~Mana~ - Jun. 01, 2016 I mean, Valt's tantrum is a breath of fresh air to see honestly. He's been insulted, lost three battles in a row, made to believe that he's a terrible Blader and does wrong by Valkyrie, and learned the hard way that Rush Shoot isn't the answer to everything. The tantrum was believable, and it does show literally how frustrated and disheartened he really did. The rest of the episode was a bit boring, but Rantaro's assumption that Wakiya beat up the kids and Valt's depression were the highlights of the episode. On another note, subbed version is now ready. Thanks for your patience! RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - DranzerX13 - Jun. 01, 2016 And here's my web-rip version of it. Enjoy! RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - BeyGa - Jun. 01, 2016 That's a really good quality! I was waiting to see watch this episode again with subtitles!! Thanks a lot for your work, DranzerX13! RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - DranzerX13 - Jun. 01, 2016 The subbed version in general was worked on by the whole team, not just me. I mainly provided the web-rip. RE: Beyblade Burst Episode #9 (May 30th, 2016) - Kai-V - Jun. 02, 2016 This episode sort of had potential, but the reason everything is so soft in the anime and manga so far is that TAKARA-TOMY really wants to turn Beyblade into a "no.1 friendship sport" thing, so despite this happening in Bakuten Shoot Beyblade and to a certain extent in Metal Fight Beyblade too, the focus was way not on that. Since friendship is the main theme, that is why you cannot have an atmosphere where everybody is an enemy: instead, everybody is very willing to be friends and you can sense that they are on the border of jumping on the friend boat at any moment. Here is the segment from a recent press release, as proof: Quote:Beyblade Burst offers a fresh take on the original 1999 show, with brand new storylines and characters and a theme of real sports, competition and friendship aimed at increasing accessibility for the key demographic of boys ages 6-11. Also six years old is considerably younger than the previous target audience of 8 to 13. At six, you barely started school and you have not socialised a lot, whereas you grasp a lot more concepts two years later at eight years old. |
