Scheduled downtime for migration - Kai-V - Dec. 18, 2014 Hey all WBO Bladers! As we announced in the WBO 6th Anniversary post, there was a downtime coming up due to us having to move to another host, and apparently that downtime is coming very soon! We just want to tell you about it so that you don't worry about the World Beyblade Organization disappearing for a couple of hours. Once the move is complete, everything will come back to normal, and you won't see a difference at all! We will still be using MyBB as our software, unlike what some of you feared. We're really just copy-pasting the site to another place, but you'll still be able to access it via the same URLs (worldbeyblade.org, beywiki.com, beybladeforums.com, beyblademetalfury.com, etc.) once the downtime is over! So, be patient, don't worry, and tell us afterwards how you kept yourself busy Beyblade-wise during that time! (We were told by our new host that the migration might happen as early as tomorrow morning, but it might fall on Friday instead.) RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Hato - Dec. 18, 2014 How long will the transfer take? It is actually not even the move that will necessarily take that long, but for the internet to properly follow us to our new destination/host and lead you toward that and not our old destination. RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Bey Brad - Dec. 19, 2014 Who did you go with in the end? We're on the same server, so I need to move too! RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Shido-kun - Dec. 19, 2014 Man,Good thing my timezone is differen't! (I'll probably be sleeping when the move is happening ) RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Kai-V - Dec. 19, 2014 (Dec. 19, 2014 1:21 AM)Bey Brad Wrote: Who did you go with in the end? We're on the same server, so I need to move too! We went with the recommendation they had. No time to really shop, and so far it seems cheaper. RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Kai-V - Dec. 29, 2014 Well, as much as we thought the migration was due for last week in a super expedited way, it hasn't occured yet, but it technically has to happen within the next two days. No matter what or when though, remember that you can always connect with us on Facebook, and we will post updates there (and simultaneously on our Twitter account) during the short downtime to let you know what's up. RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Kai-V - Dec. 29, 2014 It seems that we are successfully moved, and things shoud be functional! If you find an error somewhere, definitely report it to us and we will work to fix it. A few posts were lost during the migration because they were submitted after the copy of the site was done, but go ahead and repost them if you remember what they were! RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Vamp!re - Dec. 29, 2014 Congrats guys, my time zone is change thats why I even don't know when the migration have been done RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Kai-V - Dec. 29, 2014 Well, for you and for me it took mere minutes to successfully redirect, but a few others are still waiting for their connection to go through. RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - The Supreme One - Dec. 29, 2014 Looks like the Wiki is still down as well. RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - кαмυι カムイ - Dec. 29, 2014 I can't send PMs anymore. Gives me a MyBB error message. RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Leone19 - Dec. 29, 2014 For me PM's are a bit slow, but everything else seems good. Does Beywiki show up for anybody else ? Does it give you a specific error message ? As for private messages, there is definitely something weird there. Each person sends me three private messages so far, hah, and I cannot reply to them at all. Let me just try a few things to remedy that situation. RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Leone19 - Dec. 29, 2014 Just checked, Wiki is down for me, too. It gives me a DNS error. RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Kei - Dec. 29, 2014 Wiki won't work for me either. The page simply doesn't load. RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - loyd87 - Dec. 29, 2014 Bey wiki works for me well I enter in but I don't do some research to see if all pages is showned RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - The Supreme One - Dec. 29, 2014 (Dec. 29, 2014 10:47 PM)Kai-V Wrote: Oh, really ? As you can see below, it's just not registering as a site at all: Spoiler (Click to View) RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Mitsu - Dec. 30, 2014 Using Chrome as a browser, I get a page error; the one saying the webpage isn't available. That sucks; hopefully it'll be up and running once again before the fourth. :\ RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - sarabscientist - Dec. 30, 2014 This is what I was getting when I tried to go onto any thread. It's fixed now though. [Image: ITIcxST.png] RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - Shido-kun - Dec. 30, 2014 What the heck is that? What if you try another browser ? Personally I use Firefox. loyd87, do you use Firefox as well ? RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - sarabscientist - Dec. 30, 2014 Actually. Update: Right now I'm looking at the second page of this thread but when I click to go to the first page, it gives me that weird jumble of text and symbols. I am posting this in hopes it reaches because threads show for one second and then not the next. I'm sure it will be resolved soon, though. See you guys! RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - L-awliet - Dec. 30, 2014 I'm using Chrome and everything seems to be working fine for me. RE: Scheduled downtime for migration - кαмυι カムイ - Dec. 30, 2014 Everything works fine for me now. I guess I had to wait for a while. Also, when I go to page one, it seems alright... |
