i use steam. TF2, as with proberbly everyone else, is proberbly the best free game on it. i don't buy any games on it as im not allowed at all, but the free games are good enough, expecally with the case of TF2. just had a massive play session, im still only really good with engi in the right stage. im just about to try out another game on it now.

I have steam on my laptop. TF2 lags like hell though. PLus my laptop has a touchpad, so it's almost impossible to control.

Got FarCry3 and VALVe Complete pack for $49.99 and CS:GO is my favorite, tried Classic Compettitive My Ping jumps to 264-288 but still winning

Garry's Mod is where it's at! Totally not expensive, there's always a sale for it, and you can do anything. We're talking a sandbox game + multiplayer with tons of game modes. Wanna play a platformer with some friends and others? Death Run. Wanna play a zombie survival game with a ton of people online? Zombie Survival. Really, you can do so much on G-Mod, it's no wonder it's so popular. I bet your favorite Lets Player has uploaded Garry's Mod at least once.

I have to agree with NoodooSoup. It was the main reason I got steam was Gary's Mod. I also play Arma 2, mainly for DayZ which is the most realistic zombie game out there (In my opinion). You have to go searching for everything. If you find a sniper rifle, you are REALLY lucky. It's also just really fun with other people. And your favorite let's players most likely did at least an episode of DayZ.

Steam is AMAZING, I've ended up linking even my non steam games to it lol. I love the sales, and all the achievements they offer too =)
I've got quite a few games on there but I have to say my top 3 atm are:
1: The Binding of Isaac
2: Orcs must die 1&2
3: Either Dungeon Defenders or Terraria
I have my eye on quite a few games though that could possibly change this top 3 =P

I own TF2, Gmod, Portal, and Portal 2. I mostly play TF2 as of now, because I'm looking up LP's of how to finish Portal and Portal 2 Singleplayer (Love that cheating
)I don't play Gmod as often either, but when I do, I turn on Minecraftify (and NO, I hate Minecraft) Makes it look cooler and more cartoon-ish, IMO.
I am planning on getting LIMBO by the group "Playdead". I've seen it. A bit graphic, but really cool.
