You can get both from either versions.

Somewhere in the Celadon department store you meet a lab coat guy who gives you a item that changes all music to the old version when you activate it. (It's timed, I think how many steps you take deactivates it, but it gains more energy when you walk.)

I get my information from this site.

(But I found this out by Youtube video.)

(For above)
You can also get Rayquaza.
http://www.serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/legends.shtml (If you check your map in the Shinto Ruins, it says your North of Jhoto.)

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - darkwind - Dec. 12, 2009

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - To - Dec. 13, 2009

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - Neeek - Dec. 14, 2009

Gonna pre order from America as soon as possible. I hope this doesn't turn out to ruin the originals for everyone, and end up as boring as D/P/Pl ...

Well aren't I just going to look uber cool going around with the PokeWalker xD

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - Kei - Dec. 15, 2009

March 14 2010 release date.

I shouldn't be so excited for this game hahaha

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - SnooSnoo - Dec. 15, 2009

Yes, you should. Anyone have their teams planned out? I'm starting with Cyndaquil, and plan to end up with Typhlosion, Kingdra, Scizor, Espeon, Mamoswine, and Dragonite or Gengar (probably Dragonite, since you can get a Dratini in Goldenrod).

Is it bad that one of my two most anticipated games of 2010 is one that I have already played?

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - フェルグラント - Dec. 15, 2009

Nope...not really.

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - SonicManEXE - Dec. 16, 2009

It turns out, the Pikachu-colored Pichu gets sent to your Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum, and you're supposed to send it over to your HG or SS. Then that unlocks the Spiky-Eared Pichu Event. (You can't trade Spiky-Ears, I'm not sure if it works HG to SS or SS to HG, but you defiantly can't send it to DPP. Even if you don't go to Prof. Elm who sends it to a Pokemon Center to make un-tradable, you can't trade it.)

And just to point out, Kanto's city names are based off of colors, Jhoto's city names are based off of plants/trees, and Hoenn is based off two words mixed together.
The Professors are named after trees.
Some Pokemon are compound words. (ie. Tree + gecko = Treeko)

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - フェルグラント - Dec. 16, 2009

I noticed them a long time ago...

Bulbagarden's your good friend when you want knowledge about Pokemon, Walkthough, Trivia etc.

Please refrain from using religious sentances,as stated in the "community rules".You're lucky the report button doesn't work for me.

and my starter wil be cyndaquil, since i still need a fire type for my "ultimate" team.I have been waiting for hs/ss since april.

RE: Pokémon Soul Silver/Heart Gold - Serotonin - Dec. 27, 2009

Oh come on; you do realise the word Amen has pretty much transcended all religious connotations and is now used very much colloquially akin to the words "God" and "heavens"? Besides, I don't think you are in much position to be correcting other people's posts and quoting rules, given that you aren't too familiar with them ...

I think ... I will be choosing Chikorita or Totodile, having picked Cyndaquil in the originals. I'll need to pick up a DS Lite before then though, since I spilt Coke all over my original. ;[
