Shinobi Blades
Don't judge me for the cheesy name or my drawings—for some reason I thought using a mouse in iDraw would be easier than drawing on paper
Concept: The Beyblades in this new system will be composed of 4 parts, in addition to various weighted blades with different styles and positions to affect the top’s performance. All Shinobi Blades must have a minimum of 1 blade inserted into a side and a maximum of 8 (each slot can fit 4 blades). The blades will be thin, but weighted by solid metal. From top to bottom, the parts are as follows:
Metal core: This part of the bey is what keeps it balanced in the center and allows for the blades to be inserted via slots around the sides.
Top cap: This part of the bey is what contains the blades around the sides and allows them to be inserted and customized. A maximum of 4 blades can fit into each slot. The slots are evenly distributed across the cap with 4 on the bottom and 4 on the top.
Bottom cap: The bottom cap’s purpose is to be a container for the performance tip. Additionally, it has 4 groves that can fit up to 4 thin metal “ninja stars.†The ninja stars add to the theme of the Beyblade, in addition to contributing to the idea of fine tuning it’s weight. A maximum of 4 stars can be placed in the groves combined, but the number of combinations that one can make are countless.
Performance tip: Performance tips come in various shapes and are inserted through the top of the bottom cap, staying in place due to a ball on it’s top and a clamp that can be pushed in to allow it to go through the performance tip hole, as shown below. Each performance tip is attached to a spin track, therefore there can be various spin track heights with the same performance tip.
Blades: As shown below, the blades are designed in various shapes and sizes in order to manipulate the Beyblade’s performance and style of attack. An uppercut blade can be paired with a low spin track and flat performance tip to attack an opponent with a higher spin track from below, while an undercut blade can be paired with a higher spin track to attack a lower track opponent from above.

Undercut Blade:
An example of how different blades can be combined:
So…why would you buy this system?
What makes this system innovative is it’s huge focus on both weight and attack. With so many different styles of blades and placement combinations for both the blades and the ninja stars, the player can truly control the movement of their top. A system like this allows for greater competition and shifts the focus from niche stamina combinations to attack and defense. With more exciting and fast paced battles and numerous viable combinations, this system will attract a more widespread age group because it features a new complexity to Beyblade like never before. â€Um…wouldn’t the blades just slow down battles? I sense Beywarriors & XTS deja vu.â€
Fortunately, I am one step ahead of you, subconscious Supreme One! What do you do when you have heavier blades? You increase the power of the launcher, of course! All launchers will be made of string in a style similar to Mechanic Papas' (see here) Of course, the launchers that this system will use won’t be quite as dangerous as TheMechanicPapa’s; they will be just fast enough for a successful battle without the risk of injury. Stadiums will take additional safety precautions by having an open space for launching with clear panels on either side for the competitors to stand during the battle. Stadiums will be similar to the BB-46, but larger and with a wider flat bottom in order to accommodate large blades, while still making sure that the beys can’t avoid contact.

Here is my entry. I haven't really been following this thread so I don't know how closely my system may resemble someone else's but I assure you it is purely a coincidence.
Beyblade: Power-up System
I'm not a very creative or original person, so I took aspects from previous systems and combined them. The Power-up System has the complexity of customization that Plastics had, feature a "Chrome/Crystal Up" gimmick with Upper Core and Lower Core modes, and have a launching system and overall design similar to the HMS.
Face Clip: Depicts the character and holds the Beyblade together. Also helps to name it. Plastic.
Attribute Wheel: Determines the "element" of the Beyblade, what kind of Power-up Pieces it can hold, and the status of the Battle Wheel. Can be flipped with the Metal Core. There are six Attribute Wheels, Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Metal, and Darkness. Plastic.
Battle Wheel: The part that primarily makes contact with the opponent. Can be flipped 180 degrees over to make it point right or left, but on some Battle Wheels this will not make a difference. Can be fixed or free spinning depending on the Attribute Wheel. Materials may vary.
Metal Core: main source of weight for the Beyblade and also determines spin direction. Comes in a similar format to the classic Weight Disks, with Wide, Balance, and Heavy. Can be flipped with the Attribute Wheel. Metal.
Spin Tip: Determines movement pattern. Plastic, but tip materials may vary.
Power-up Piece: Optional piece that when snapped on to a compatible Attribute Wheel provides the Beyblade with a few extra grams and an extra gimmick. Materials may vary.
Earth Crocodile, a Balance type, and Water Porpoise, a Stamina type:

Water Porpoise

Shows the difference in between Upper Core and Lower Core modes, as well as what the Beyblades would look like fully assembled. Lower Core mode would usually be preferred for Stamina as the funnel-shaped Metal Core would increase precession/LAD, while Upper Core mode would be used for Defense to create a dome that is difficult to land solid hits on. However, in this mode the Power-up Piece may scrape if it is equipped.

The hexagonal holes are where the Power-up Pieces are inserted. As you can see, they have a different numbers and locations, so Power-up Pieces that are compatible with Earth are not compatible with Water, and vice-versa. The four squarish holes are where the Attribute Wheel connects to the Metal Core. One should also note the pegs on either side of Earth, that are not present on Water. These pegs hold the Battle Wheel in place, so any Battle Wheel used will be fixed when using Earth and free-spinning when using Water.
Battle Wheel
[Image: bx5m.jpg]
I've pretty much explained this already. It can be flipped over to change the direction that it is pointing (though on some Battle Wheels, like Sprocket, this doesn't matter). It also has two holes on either side of the Wheel, where the pegs on the Attribute Wheel hold it in place if they are there. Similarly to Fusion Hades, and Scythe Kronos from MFB, the Battle Wheel does not have to be Metal. A rubber Battle Wheel would be invaluable in spin-equalizing, while a plastic one could be used to minimise metal-on-metal contact.
Metal Core
[Image: oyz5.jpg]
There are six basic versions of these, they are available in Left and Right spin, and can be Wide (15g), Balance (17g), or Heavy (20g). They are funnel shaped, giving them LAD in Lower Core mode. Note that in real life they would be all the same color (unless they were painted). The differentiation in the picture is only to show the difference in height in the top-down view. The outer, silver layer is in the middle, and is the "shelf" where the Battle Wheel sits (in Upper Core mode the Battle Wheel would rest on the Attribute Wheel). The middle, blue-gray layer is a ring that keeps the Battle Wheel in place on the outside of the Beyblade (Note that it is smooth and does not hamper free spin by much, only the pegs on the Attribute Wheel do that). The blue-gray layer also has the pegs that attach to the Attribute Wheel. Finally, the innermost dark gray layer is a flat surface where the Spin Tip holds the Metal Core up, and also completes the funnel shape. And before you ask, no, you cannot perform a "Synchrom" with two Metal Cores -- not only would it be too tall for the Spin Tip to reach the Face Clip, there would be two sets of pegs, preventing the cores from being secured.
Spin Tip
[Image: 3tkg.jpg]
The pegs at the top are what clip into the Face Clip. Similarly to the HMS blades, the parts are slid down the Spin Tip until the Face Clip can be applied at the top. The actual tips themselves are nothing new, there is the omnipresent Semi Flat, and a Free Metal Ball to show that the tip material can be different. There would also be rubber tips (e.g. a Rubber Flat) in addition to plastic and metal.
Power-up Piece
[Image: cnie.jpg]
The Power-up Piece is an optional part that attaches to a compatible Attribute Wheel. The compatibility between Power-up Pieces and Attribute Wheels can be seen in the number of pegs/holes on either and their location. For example, the four-pegged Quad Roller is compatible with Earth, which has four holes, but not with Water, which only has three. This calls for a higher level of customization and thought when choosing an Attribute Wheel. Some Power-up Pieces are more simple, like Round Edge, which is an inclined ring. in Lower Core mode, it does little more than add a few extra grams to the Beyblade, but in Upper Core mode, it can provide LAD to a defensive custom where other Power-up Pieces would scrape. Others are more gimmicky, like Quad Roller, which is designed to deflect attacks. However, due to its width and shape, it is not recommended to use it in Upper Core mode, since it will scrape easily.
The Beyblades themselves may look a bit chunky, but for the most part the parts have been draw to scale and they are about as big as the average 4D Beyblade. Thus, they would work in an ideal BB-10 Attack Stadium. Unfortunately, there is no conventional naming system for these Beyblades, due to the sheer amount of possible modes and combinations. Combos should be listed in a format similar to that of Plastics, like
FC: Crocodile
AW: Earth
PuP: Quad Roller
BW: Tri Attacker (right)
MC: Right Balance
ST: Semi Flat
It should then be specified whether the Beyblade is in Upper Core or Lower Core mode. Otherwise, the official name for the above combo would be "Earth Crocodile".
Lol, someone's probably going to point out some flaw in my system I didn't see ahead of time that shoots down the whole thing, but oh well. I tried.
On a completely unrelated note, I love the word sprocket.

Finally, my entry!
Beyblade 3D-H System
3D Printing:
A customization aspect never before seen in Beyblade! You can order a Beyblade made via 3D printing. Each part is made with the same materials used now (Polycarbonate and zinc alloy), but via 3D printing! Available online thru the Takara-TOMY website, you can order parts seen in regular starters and boosters, but also parts only made thru 3D printing orders! This special process only costs 1,000 yen more than regular Boosters! Note: Must buy full beyblade, tool comes for free, no launcher.
Holograms:
The Beyblade project holograms during the battle, that “interact†with other 3D-H beyblades within 5 feet of each other when both are turned on. The holograms are turned on when the Bey is rotating at 5,000 + RPM. As the RPM start to decrease, they Holograms start to flicker and slow down, more and more with the less RPM they beyblade is at.
The interaction:
The interaction is when the hologram, based on type, moves. Attack types have holograms that “float like a butterfly and sting like a bee†and look like boxers, Stamina types simulate the hologram (a runner) running on a very flat surface, and defense types have holograms that depict a sort of humanoid rock (See pics below).
Customization:
There is a polycarbonate ring on top of a solid piece of zinc alloy, and these two pieces cannot be separated. This piece is known as the Assault Halo, or AH. The Assault Halo is similar to the Attack Ring of the HMS generation, but heavier and larger in circumference. Next, there is a polycarbonate ring below the the Assault Halo, and smaller in circumference. This is known as the Force Saucer, or FS. There are 4 basic Force Saucers that come with regular starters and boosters, however with 3D printing there become more options. And finally, there is the Running Apex, or RA. Running Apex’s come in all different shapes and sometimes sizes, with some of course special to 3D printed customs.
All of these parts are screwed together by a bolt which projects the hologram. The hologram can be replaced with a different type. For example, if your screw that you were using was labeled Stamina type by Takara-TOMY but used it in an attack type of setup, you could switch out the hologram projector for a different one. You can also buy special packs of projectors that come with all three types. There is also the option to remove the projector completely, but why would anyone do that???
Examples:
If you can't tell I am a terrible artist.

The beyblades remind me(in the battle) of Dark Knight Dragooon and Bandid Goreim battling, and the stadium, Zero-G Wide Square Attack Type?! Oh snap, new Metal Series. And the example beyblade sorta reminds me of Wyvern DJ :\

So this is over, haha.
Before the thread is closed, I noticed in previous contests, a mod will post a list of all entires, to make sure none were missed. Will this happen for this? Just wondering, haha.

Ginga .. great work I must say.. and if this was FB I would tag my friend here..... back in 2006 he had this idea of hologram bitbeast's ... lol we were planning on attaching it somewhere on the bey/ chip. .. and you made something like this... that's awesome!!

Do not worry guys, I will definitely go through every page and list all the entries. I am quite certain we never missed any entry in previous judgings.
Thank you to all who entered, there are some very interesting concepts that will really need a lot of in-depth observation. Watch out for the results in a few days, once we get back from all those holidays!
