RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - originalzankye - Sep. 30, 2021 Got my hands on the 2-pack, thank lord Surge is done with RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - DeltaZakuro - Sep. 30, 2021 Thank god i can sleep in peace tonight knowing that Surge is finally dead. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - Attila - Sep. 30, 2021 In conclusion: Surge was wack RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - Suzaku-X - Oct. 01, 2021 Crab rave intensifies. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - BeySkozo Raky - Oct. 01, 2021 Ngl, but I'm actually pretty disappointed and sad to see that Hasbro let Surge end like this, simply unfinished, imperfect and with gaps. There is no second 2-Pack in Wave 4 and there aren't even like at least two Singles in that Wave (while Slingshock and Hypersphere got filled with these things). The Command Valtryek & Morrigna Dual Collection Pack also just got released alone without a second one. They only brought out those two 2-Packs, which aren't even in the same product series and just let it end there. Sad, because I would have loved to see recolors of parts like Hollow, Infinite, Blazebringer, 2D-D, Doomcizor, Drift-SP and especially Jet. An unfinished and imperfect series with many revealed products/Beyblades still unreleased and missing is a very bad thing if you ask me. Also, I like the new Dual Collection Pack (Command Valtryek & Morrigna). The Beys look pretty good and cool, you get another Elicpse-colored Bey (in this case it's Command Valtryek) and you get a good disc and driver with Valtryek (00 & Octave-H). Morrigna looking pretty icy as well. No doubt, this must be one of the best 2-Packs released in this series or maybe even in whole of Surge! Looking forward to pick it up if it comes out in my store eventually (I know it won't happen because of my store needing months to release at least one new product, but it's important to have your dreams and hopes lol). I'm more than convinced that they just won't do it, i dont even remember when we last got news for it. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - Suzaku-X - Oct. 01, 2021 It's funny because we'll never get Storm Pegasus P5. I guarantee you they hate making remakes because they'd rather sell you more dual layers. Also, guess we can add the Solomon chip and the Uranus chip to "Parts Hasbro will never do." RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - Lucha Burst - Oct. 01, 2021 (Oct. 01, 2021 9:55 PM)Suzaku-X Wrote: It's funny because we'll never get Storm Pegasus P5. Also, guess we can add the Solomon chip and the Uranus chip to "Parts Hasbro will never do." why, two of my favorite chips too Quaddrive has to do good or else theres nothing that can save hasbro, they'd be to deep if the butshered surge and quaddrive to save themselves even if pro series had mega accurate and good beys. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - valtaoi_007 - Oct. 03, 2021 so I heard that since the difference of the por-series teeth got fixed from wave 2/3 onwards is it possible now to combine both pro-series and tt? If it isnt, is it still legal to combine a pro-series base with a TT chip and use a TT driver or vice versa? RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - MagikHorse - Oct. 04, 2021 (Oct. 03, 2021 3:32 PM)valtaoi_007 Wrote: so I heard that since the difference of the por-series teeth got fixed from wave 2/3 onwards Short answer, probably yes unless you're doing Hasbro Only. Long answer, you can combine Pro and TT layers and drivers together fine (this was recently added to the Burst Classic and Burst Limited rulebook, though doing so only makes Pro drivers legal on TT layers for those since all the Pro layers are banned in those formats). Mixing layer parts is something the rules don't currently account for, but can only be called out if the judge can tell the difference anyways and is probably fine in Standard. In Hasbro Only the name is taken literally, so TT drivers and layer parts are prohibited. Last I heard disks were an exception (and for unpainted disks you can't really tell anyways), though I think that also technically makes painted TT disks legal and creates an oddity. It's one thing if the stadiums are fun but its another if the beys are just flat out garbage. RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - Lucha Burst - Oct. 05, 2021 I know I'm late But now that surge is over I'd like to address my personal stance on how i feel it went. Surge Had anything but a tall task of outliving its predecessor Rise, Yet Surge and SpeedStorm Started off Ok but in the end fell short, Way short, Well beys Like Glide and Mirage got there gimmicks(sort of, I'll get to that) The rest of the beys were left in the dust and forgotten, Mobius had free spin which was huge for Hasbro fans but Hasbro fell short in the long run by making Drift fused, They Gave use Half gimmicks as well, Mirage Had rubber but it never Got the full Gimmick such as Nothings spring which leads need to my next point, the drivers were tall which caused any chance of LAD to go out the window and the beys to shake. as well as almost No Driver gimmicks, The only good thing we got from surge was Charge Metal-spm. It was Heavier then the TT version because it had more metal but It doesn't have a tight enough spring to have been useful. Drift was fused, Destory got Half of it's gimmick and looked like a stretched out destroy that was made blindfolded. Like how hard would it have been to do rubber drivers or normal height drivers. The slopes were horrible on all but a few releases, the slopes were horrible meaning that beys busted if you launched them wrong, I've had speedstorm beys burst cause they hit the stadium wall too hard. like Bruh. on top of the slopes were horrible except a few, so horrible drivers plus bad slopes? yeah every single release basically had the same exact slopes copy and pasted onto every release.can't get worse can it? yes it can they didn't even give the beys the right parts. Dragon released with Armed? what the heck was that. The only thing that was good were the stadiums. Quaddrive has like nothing to live up to but if it fails worse then Speedstorm then Hasbro's screwed for anything in the future.... And we've already been promised no driver gimmicks by the strange driver sub-system. so overall: 3/10 RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - Cool Microwave - Oct. 05, 2021 (Oct. 04, 2021 9:36 PM)DeltaZakuro Wrote:true, but i feel like the stadiums make up for it(Oct. 04, 2021 7:32 PM)Cool Microwave Wrote: hey at least we got some fun stadiums out of it RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - XxxxHaVoXxx - Oct. 06, 2021 Can anyone tell me if mirage fafnir or raid luinor is better pls RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - MagikHorse - Oct. 06, 2021 (Oct. 06, 2021 10:24 PM)XxxxHaVoXxx Wrote: Can anyone tell me if mirage fafnir or raid luinor is better pls Raid Luinor falls in with Hasbro's general tendencies to nerf Luinor into the dirt. It's bad, with very little good about it. The same is true of Mirage Fafnir from the disk down, but the Mirage base is actually not half bad for left spin Hasbro, and could be combined into a decent LAD build. Either way you throw them against each other, whether in stock battles or in usable parts, Mirage wins out by at least giving you something good on it.
