Sorry for the late response (trying to get 5000 notifications so I didn’t see that one). My reason is that out of all the burst characters I just like other characters much more than Valt. I still like him don’t get me wrong I just like him the least.

Agreed. I mean, he's not the best character out there, sure, but he gets a lot of unwarranted hate simply for owning Fafnir, and imo, that's not fair.

Yeah, that's really the most common reason I've seen people hate Fumiya for. He was unfortunately the victim of owning a bey motif that had belonged to one of the most beloved characters, Free, and was therefore seen as a tough act to follow. Like if he had owned his own unique bey or owned an evolution to say, Hercules, I reckon no one would've bat an eye on him and just wrote him off as a "meh" character.
Imagine the backlash Fumiya would've received. if they had him own Lord Spriggan haha.
Personally, I thought he was fine. He was funny, entertaining, had his rivalry with Team Victories because his sister was on that team instead of his own one, and was the first spin-stealing blader not to be OP in the anime. He definitely wasn't perfect, I mean he got shafted less than half way of the season and reduced to just supporting role, but he was fine overall.

Speaking of the Fumiya hate, I've seen a lot of people place Lodin as one of their worst characters and if I had to guess, it's because he also wields a bey motif that was previously owned by a beloved character, Lui.
Now of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if people dislike him, that's absolutely fine, but I'm just wondering why else do people dislike Lodin? I mean any reason besides the fact that he owns Longinus (which is usually owned by Lui). Because he seemed fine to me as a character, he just lacked screen time.

Lodin lacked screentime in the anime (which isn't a problem in the manga) but what is there to hate besides the "He's not Lui so he bad" mentality? Like really what?

I mean that's a fair point, he doesn't get enough focus or screen time so he kind of gets ignored. I can understand that, but at the same time that could also go both ways IMO. If people don't get enough of him to like, we also don't get enough of him to hate either.
However, I've seen him been consistently placed as one of the most hated characters as well, despite not getting enough screen time to be given a chance either.

To be honest he most likely did mean hate but since you questioned him on it he seemingly reworded it to make you feel better.
