I'm 24 can we be friends? haha. I couldn't agree more with you I'm in the same boat.

As a matter of fact, I asked my wife to get me a Duo Eclipse for this upcoming Father's Day ? So no, it's not strange for an 18 year old to love Beyblades. But a married middle-aged man with two kids is a different story...?

u need a duo apollus and a duo artemis in order to get a duo eclipse.

Possibly I missed it but I haven't seen the two sold separately.

Absolutely we can!  Now we each have one other friend that’s into beyblade ?

For me gunpla and beyblade are important links between the anime world and reality and hence an output for our imagination.Einstein said "Knowledge will take you from A to B but imagination will take you everywhere".so beyblade is as ageless as our imagination.

If you still feel uneasy for someone over 18 playing beyblade, PewDiePie plays it (I think lol)

No you have your own opinions so it's no weird

RE: Is it strange for an 18 year old to love beyblade? - Lucifer's Spawn - Jun. 23, 2018

I'm seventeen and still in love with these things. I'm a huge science and math nerd, that's why I'm so into beyblading. I love doing split second calculations and adjusting accordingly so that I'm more likely to win.

RE: Is it strange for an 18 year old to love beyblade? - Blitzen - Jun. 23, 2018

I don't think its strange  to like beyblades at your age, it's a hobby that most people around your age have or remember, but their will be those other people that say your to old for it .Some kids actually bullied my friend because he had a bigger Bey collection then them , so they decided to steal his beys and still make fun of his age , people like that are toxic or they don't know the fun of playing with beys today.

RE: Is it strange for an 18 year old to love beyblade? - Hellibleri - Jun. 23, 2018

Never! It’s a hobby, your life, and as I believe, no opinion is wrong if you respect others’ opinion on the matter.

Beyblade doesn’t have an age limit. If you like something then you shouldn’t need to ask for others approval

Right there's your problem. It isn't you, it's the people around you. Consider if they're worth your time. Are they just lacking sense in this case, or do you actually need better friends and other people in your life?

I'm an adult who recently got back into Beyblade. My friends I see most often are older than me, and though they aren't interested in Beyblade themselves, they are supportive of my hobby and ask me questions about it like good friends do.

Some people in this hobby are twice your age!

Once again, a quote I find helpful by C.S. Lewis, author of the Chronicles of Narnia:

Quote:Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development.

When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.

Man!! I love C.S. Lewis! Definitely using this quote as an email signature. Also, I am 32 and play. So yes, let the haters hate

People always seem to make this thread. The answer is with you yourself. Do you feel uncomfortable persuing it as a hobby or are you willing to accept it as a hobby? My only advice is don't let societies norms influence what you believe in. If you like beyblade, you like it simple as that. It ain't gonna affect anyone else and it's your hobby that you enjoy. I mean obviously you don't have to be flashy about it and advertise to all your friends/colleagues that you play with em if you feel that theyll judge you but you enjoy it so maybe find some mates who are also into it and spend free time playing or attend local tournaments since they're usually on weekends and most people got the day off.

Dude, gets some high stakes blading going on there. Take bets on the side. Make a proper underground sport out of it if you can and explain the mechanics to anyone who asks.
And, if noone does, it's their money that they're ignorantly betting.

Technically, it does. It has a lower limit of 8 but no upper limit.
Until you're getting your seven year old child into the game, you're not doing anything wrong :p.

It says 8 and up cause a toddler could easily swallow a driver, or get a dusk frame stuck in his/her throat. But yeah I'm 29 and play cause the spinning is therapeutic for me haha.

28. No need to stop playing, I'm sure you'll find someone else your age who loves beys. Then again, don't make yourself uncomfortable.

RE: Is it strange for an 18 year old to love beyblade? - Kry - Mar. 19, 2019

to be the elephant in the room. It is always important to remember that Beyblading is a hobby

as an adult member of society. I believe it is fine to enjoy whatever hobbies you like as long as it is not negatively harming you or anyone else.

So that being said, everyone must remember to have their priorities in order, especially when it comes to finances and your hobby.

if you can ensure all of your bills and outstanding responsibilities are taken care of, (rent, utilities, food, transport etc) then spending money on any hobby is acceptable. If you are cutting back on healthy food choices and make decisions that negatively affect yourself or others for the sake of funding your hobby. Then I believe it is unacceptable.

I got my parents to play, and now it's a huge hit at my house. More proof that everyone can love the game.

RE: Is it strange for an 18 year old to love beyblade? - Mohith0412 - Mar. 19, 2019

Idk why this is a problem... I am 14 and ppl think its childish of me ti like beyblades. My parents themselves tried for the past year to get me out of it, and actually led to pretty serious fights between us. My friends at first thought it was childish and laughed at me. But in the end, everyone stopped. My friends respected my opinion. My parents stopped bothering me about it. Its because i didnt give in. I find this to be the MAIN factor. Dont give a ***. Your hobbies are yours, no one has the right to butt in and tell you that its not right. In fact, you have all rights to not give a *** about what they say and do what you want.
