Others i had were maroon and deep red but not pure red bey...

It's just acrylic paint again. I can't afford a Thunder Pegasus by any means, so I've decided to order another Flame Pegasus and customize my old one. But it would be awesome to connect both beys like Duo Eclipse, that's a great idea! But I guess no one would cut a Flame Pegasus apart :P
I've used this paint to get my orange Apollon AR yellow and my sunlight gold Venus AR in that nice "beauty pink" (actually lilac colour). It's way cheaper than buying the actual product and it makes no difference for me personally as I like to use the beys (and wouldn't use those rare ones) ;)

You can see some paint chipping here and there (especially the contact points of course), but oh well. I just paint over it again. If you take your time the layer of paint will turn out really smooth and you can barely see it, let alone in a battle :D
