RE: Lets Talk About School - BurningSands - Nov. 04, 2019 People at my school spare literally no teacher. That science teacher whose class can give you an easy A? They s*** on him because “he doesnt pay attention.” The math teacher who is nice? They complain how her tests are too hard. The history teacher who is funny and entertaining? They claim he doesnt teach anything. Trust me, students will find ONE thing to hate about others RE: Lets Talk About School - #Fafnir - Nov. 04, 2019 My favorite teacher was my 3rd grade teacher, but she quit the next year because she didn't like kids using the Ipads instead of paper. On the topic of that, to those who go to a school who uses Ipads to teach, do you like using the Ipads, or do you prefer pencil and paper? I personally prefer pencil and paper. RE: Lets Talk About School - UltimateMaster - Nov. 04, 2019 Sometimes I think school is useless. I want to be a white hat hacker When I grow up . School doesn’t offer stuff to learn that. I end up programming viruses and stuff at home. I keep breaking my dads computers. Thankfully he is a programmer and doesn’t mind me downloading malware. I wish middle school focused more on careers and stuff. RE: Lets Talk About School - BurningSands - Nov. 04, 2019 (Nov. 04, 2019 5:06 AM)UltimateMaster Wrote: Sometimes I think school is useless. Adults are always telling my school that, years up until college are practice years. And in colleges and universities, you can finally study what you want now that you have the skills. Along the way to college, students can take “electives,” which are extra classes that interest them and get them educated on potential careers (ex. Culinary arts to get an idea on how to be a good cook). In the end, even if you want to be a scientist, you have to understand how to read and do math first. You have to learn the basics before being what you want RE: Lets Talk About School - #Fafnir - Nov. 04, 2019 (Nov. 04, 2019 5:06 AM)UltimateMaster Wrote: Sometimes I think school is useless. I feel the same way as you do, but I'll be in 9th grade next year, so I'll be able to take a programming class as an elective. RE: Lets Talk About School - BoogietheBlader - Nov. 04, 2019 The beyblade club has grown so much at my school, it's amazing. Now everyone has their own beyblade and no longer have to use mine. They are all super strong and have decent beyblades, even one of the kids my age got her own. Tomorrow I'll have a tournament, and the final stage will take place in the giant Hasbro stadium one of the kids always bring. Of course I'll be using my trusty Boom Khalzar blitz atomic. But it's gonna be a real challenge, especially because theres a kid who puts his Nightmare Luiminor in right spin and another kid that really scares me with his Turbo Achilles. We'll see how it goes, I'll definitely have to try my hardest since they are really strong. One of my electives is walking and talking except I don’t talk to anyone so it’s really hard. That's a terrible elective. RE: Lets Talk About School - TH3_BeybladeZen - Nov. 04, 2019 Honestly though, about a few weeks ago a website called "WeVideo" technically stole my money. I use the thing most of the time, but I upgraded it costed about $41. And I payed for it, because I thought it was worth it for some reason. And when i used the editor and I was finally done with the videos and ready to post 'em on youtube, Youtube told me that it was a duplicate of a video I already created. And it did that same thing everytime. So I tried to ask for a refund and apparently WeVideo doesn't give refunds. So right atm I'm only on $30. Really I could be on 50 if someone else bought like 2 of my beyblades. And I'd be good from there. RE: Lets Talk About School - Dt20000 - Nov. 04, 2019 Today at my school I discovered the Chicken-Pasta Paradox. I named it after one of my friends who had a similar paradox a couple months ago. Him and I were at Disney Springs and we were eating at a restaurant. He was having trouble deciding between some form of pasta or a Chicken Sandwich. He eventually chose the Pasta, after a half hour of debating. Big mistake. The moment he saw the pasta, he realized his mistake. The pasta was completely fine, but he immediately began to wish for the sandwich. He never knew that he would prefer the sandwich until it was too late. At my school we had a Future City thing going on. I had to choose between working with others on the Model or the Essay. After a similar debate. I chose model. Again, nothing was wrong with the Model Committee, but I immediately wished for the Essay Committee. Please let me know if there is a real name to this that isn’t Chicken-Pasta Paradox RE: Lets Talk About School - BurningSands - Nov. 05, 2019 (Nov. 04, 2019 10:35 PM)Dt20000 Wrote: Today at my school I discovered the Chicken-Pasta Paradox. Its more of, realizing you chose wrong because the to choices arent presented to you directly RE: Lets Talk About School - BurningSands - Nov. 07, 2019 Guys, what do you think is the worst subject in school? RE: Lets Talk About School - BuilderROB - Nov. 07, 2019 (Nov. 07, 2019 1:13 AM)XSabxManiacX Wrote: Guys, what do you think is the worst subject in school? In terms of uselessness, History. IMO history should be optional as it is not necessary for most careers. In terms of difficulty, Math and Language Arts. I have 10th grade in both so they are the most difficult for me. RE: Lets Talk About School - henwooja1 - Nov. 07, 2019 I almost died of amazement today xD. Someone actually asked if I played Beyblades. I said yes and I go to tournaments. He wasn't that old and he asked if I had Valtriek. I agree. While history can be fun sometimes (especially learning about people who did stupid things), history is overall unnecessary. It serve more as a “moral class” in a sense, because teachers like teaching kids not to make the same mistakes from history RE: Lets Talk About School - N12N12 - Nov. 07, 2019 *subscribeing* RE: Lets Talk About School - BurningSands - Nov. 07, 2019 (Nov. 07, 2019 2:01 AM)N12N12 Wrote: *subscribeing* I noticed this post was suspicious so I checked your history This counts as spam because it relates nowhere near school, and that you have been spamming other threads too. Please stop RE: Lets Talk About School - Suoh sadboii - Nov. 07, 2019 So I know this is off topic, but it's about the thread. I usually am on mobile for this site, and nothing seems to malfunction except for one thing. My account keeps unsubscribing from this thread and a couple others. I keep re-subscribing, but it's like an endless loop mainly for this thread. Can someone help me? Sorry for the off topic post. I'm missing school because I'm sick and have to live in the bathroom. RE: Lets Talk About School - Ash_Ketchum_007 - Nov. 07, 2019 I can't be the only dude wanting a school for teaching people EDM stuff or how to be a DJ, right? (not serious tho lol) RE: Lets Talk About School - N12N12 - Nov. 07, 2019 my ela teacher marked my friend down for referencing trump... huh anyways he said trump wasnt alive in 1960. Im pretty sure he was RE: Lets Talk About School - #Fafnir - Nov. 07, 2019 (Nov. 07, 2019 11:27 PM)N12N12 Wrote: my ela teacher marked my friend down for referencing trump... huh anyways he said trump wasnt alive in 1960. Im pretty sure he was I don't think a teacher is allowed to do that. I could understand if someone was making fun of Trump or making fun of another kid because they like/dislike trump, but for just saying he was alive in 1960? That's crazy. RE: Lets Talk About School - N12N12 - Nov. 07, 2019 we had to do a wanted poster and he said the guy kidnapped donald trump. |
