Technically though, 0 Kelvin is a state beyond dead. It's the closest to the point where all activity ceases, right? RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - OwnageDerp - Aug. 01, 2014 Everyone: Come to my house, where sometimes it's as hot as a sealed window car (105+ degrees) year round. Thankfully that only happens when it's 95 degrees, in the winter, it's a joy though. By year round, I mean 8/12 months, you all know that LA is known for being hot for most of the year. It was so bad before, they had me in some classes I did not even sign up for! Term 1 Spanish II Biology II Study Hall History of the 60's and 70's Algebra II English 10 Block (2 hours) Term 2 Spanish II Biology II Algbera II History of the 60's and 70's Intro to Business Study Hall Advanced PE Pretty happy I can get 2 english credits in the first semester and actually take my ECA in December rather than May. I'm just taking the History class as another random elective so I can have a class with my XC coach. This is my first year taking a study hall, I'll really need with Spanish, Biology, and Algebra. People won't take it because they are scared they won't get enough credits, haha. You can easily deal with 5 or 6 credits a semester and still graduate, haha. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - LMAO - Aug. 04, 2014 You guys have a History of the 60's and 70's course?! That seems amazing, I wish my school had something like that. My courses for next year are as follows (My school is non-semestered so I take the same 8 courses throughout the whole year): -English -Science -Math -History -SAP (LOL not like Maple Syrup Sap, it stands for Sociology, Anthropology, and Psychology) -Gym -Business -Travel and Tourism RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Leone19 - Aug. 05, 2014 Advanced PE? How does that even work? "This isn't just regular, ordinary PE... This is advance PE". RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - OwnageDerp - Aug. 05, 2014 Advanced PE is the kind of class that makes you wonder why your there. We did literally the same thing, except instead of 10 push ups, we do 15-25. It's really a stamina class, where they separate the Storm Capricorns from the Phantom Orion's. (and the F230 Dragooons) RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Wombat - Aug. 05, 2014 So yeah on the same topic I just got my senior schedule today. My classes are: AP Physics Calculus Digital Engineering Study Hall AP Statistics AP U.S. Government/AP Economics English Literature Spanish 4 Calculus right after Physics is either a really good thing or an awful one. The last 4 not so much, cause I can't speak Spanish for my life, and English Lit isn't exactly a favorite of mine. :3 RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - FeedFear - Aug. 05, 2014 (Aug. 05, 2014 3:49 AM)Kujikato Wrote:I love literature, I just don't find the time to read for all my gaming. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Tri - Aug. 05, 2014 Adv PE is literally no different than regular PE. I like PE, so I figured why not get another credit for basically the same thing? Plus I can't wait to own everyone in the timed mile . I'm at 5:50, which is not terrible, but it'll drop even more the next few weeks. I beat it by 20 seconds from my previous PR. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - FeedFear - Aug. 05, 2014 (Aug. 05, 2014 4:43 AM)Tʀɪ Wrote: Adv PE is literally no different than regular PE. I like PE, so I figured why not get another credit for basically the same thing? You are aware that that would be an average speed of 10.3 mph right, I don't think you have that type of endurance. I am the third fastest in my division, and on one day I broke to top 5 1/4 mile time at 56 seconds.( this is pretty fast I think) my actual speed was unknown but my average speed was 16.1 mph, maintained over a fairly short distance. 10 mph is going to be hard to keep up I believe (but I'm just a sprinter, what would I know.) I want a video. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Tri - Aug. 05, 2014 I'm not sure what is so unbelievable about that tbh. My friend Clay got his PR from the low 5's to 4:45 in a few months so ... 5:50 won't be hard to beat at all. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - FeedFear - Aug. 05, 2014 (Aug. 05, 2014 5:56 AM)Tʀɪ Wrote: I'm not sure what is so unbelievable about that tbh. My friend Clay got his PR from the low 5's to 4:45 in a few months so ... My mile is like 6:00 something, this is because I always sprint instinctively ( because I'm a sprinter) I also burn out fast after sprinting, obviously. I don't know how to run, I either jog forever, or sprint for about 1/8 of a mile ( I can prove this, I can easily make a video of me sprinting. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Wombat - Aug. 05, 2014 If your mile time is literally 10 seconds slower than his, I don't see why you find his so unbelievable. Most of the cross country/track people at my school are that fast. My best mile time is like 8:17 or something really bad. I'm really slow, but I have good endurance, or at least I like to think so. RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - FeedFear - Aug. 05, 2014 Ten seconds is a lot for me, true it isn't unbelievable, but rarely do I run into people this fast. I guess it's more of a superiority complex of sort, where I have to force myself to disbelieve that people are better than me at things I'm fairly skilled at. 8:17 is bad, but if you have good endurance it sorta makes up for it. |
