No way. Every blader has his ups and lows. You have to bond with your bey over time. If you get your bond super fast, then you’re basically Aiga, which isn’t as liked of a protagonist as someone like Valt.

But this pure blader spirit will be activated when ifrit is about to lose. But bushi will control it as soon as he becomes better, but he's overconfident, so he's more like zero from shogun steel. Like father, like son.

The True Beginning! Let's go Ifrit!
A bey bursted when ifrit clashed with it.
"Inferno Ifrit with a burst finish, Bushi wins." Said the ref
"That was pretty fun Gabe, good match" It was 3 months until the local tournament.
"Man, two years ago, you didn't even knew what blading was, its surprising how fast you get to know things." Gabe picked up Gaia and put him back together
I still don't know how I unlocked that power the first time, but I will unlock it again, don't worry ifrit. Bushi said in his head.
"Let's keep going Gabe." Said Bushi.
"You got it." Said Gabe
"Ready, Set!"
"3..2..1.. Let It Rip!" The both pulled off there signature launches.
Ifrit and Gaia head for the center and Ifrit takes it.
"Inferno Defence!" Gaia started to attack, but Ifrit was keeping his ground.
"Gaia!" Gaia then broke through the defence.
"Now bad Gabe, but it's time to show you something! Burning Slash!" Ifrit strikes Gaia and sends him into the wall.
Then Gaia paused and went to Ifrit and a flash of light happened.
Gaia knocked out Ifrit and Bushi grabs Ifrit as it was flying.
"What was that?" Bushi was confused about what happened.
"I think Gaia learned a new move, I'll call it Swing Counter." Gabe said.
"That's what I needed to hear." Said Bushi.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm going to leave the academy, but I wanted you to learn a new move, Gabe, you will be the new captain."
"I understand that you have to leave bushi, I'll see you around."
"See ya" Bushi leaves the academy.
After the school day, Bushi went to the roof to the stadium.
"So your Bushi Kurogane." It was one of the strongest bladers in the world, Lúi Shurosagi.
That's the end of chapter 1 everyone.

What do you mean? In the first season of the anime, Lui, Shu, Gabe, and Zac were the Supreme Four members, and there were no other members before them.
