I really didn't like how he just got axed off abruptly. He has this whole story about wanting to become the best like his dad even when he's passed away, and had a story where the bey his dad gave him gets destroyed, so what better way to spit on his face than break his new partner?

But it says "Explosive Speed, Grand Beat!" That sounds more like a special move than just implying that it was defeated.

Seeing That this season, the main character's name is inspired from instruments, and 'beats' can be related to instruments, this is pretty much Drum's new move, and whoever is battling him is gonna lose.

Ghasem did get some poor treatment but, I think Kitt and Evel got some of the worst treatment in Beyblade burst Cho-Z, Kitt got a bit more screen time but Evel had 2 battles and boom he's gone.

Poor Evel indeed. This is what hyping new Beys for capitalism leads to, smh. But I find it sad how I see more Evel and Kitt fanart than Ghasem fanart

That's why Cho Z story was strange.
Hiro Morita wanted to write Cho Z as Aiga vs Cho Z characters. But in questionnaire result God Win.
Then Corocoro and Animation company make him change story.
As you can see it doesn't work well for both side Cho Z characters and God Characters.
If it'll happen again, i don't wanna see old characters.

Kitt at least had some appearances, and was pretty strong. Evel's lack of appearance is pretty much the writers saying, "Nope, not even we can advertise that lame driver Quest.", at least that's what I'd assume. Evel is one of the only two Cho Z bladers never to beat Aiga, ever, the other being Count Night and even he won a point against him while Evel didn't. Ghasem did appear longer but had the worst treatment in the story itself as it just spat in his face.

I think sometimes they add too many characters, so they kinda just push some aside and forget about them.

Which is why to me they don't have many characters in the manga cover. The irrelevant characters are maybe the reason why the episode is shortened. So it can add maybe more screen time on as well?

Based on the reactions I've seen, I'd say just have Valt since if you cut out all of the characters who are bladers that returned but then
A) There’s 14 bladers instead of 18 so they’ll either have more chances with the characters people think are wasted or less chances if the writing for Chozetsu was overall subpar for most people (less characters doesn’t always make a good story).
B) Spriggan, Fafnir, Valkyrie (finally spelled that right), and Air Knight would just have new owners, with people complaining that the new characters replaced the old for no reason: aka part of why some people hate Ranjirou, Xhan, and Kyle
C) People would be asking for the older characters anyway. Which makes sense since God and Chozetsu is in the same universe and they’d probably make it into alternate universe if it was nothing to connect to the first two seasons.
I guess new topic: the video games. I've seen and heard the 3ds games were alright. I had G Revolution but I sucked at video games and replaced it for Sonic Advance with my cousin (he beat it and then we lost both games...well mine was stolen). I had Battle Fortress, Metal Masters, and Evolution. Guess which one I stopped playing first.
Battle Fortress is fine, it has my pet peeve with the video games with not having all the characters, but the original characters (I'm not sure if they were characters originally planned for the anime as well or the promotion meant Gingka and co). My only problem was the gameplay wasn't as expansive. Masters was fine, but it was dumb how almost none of the of the ultimate moves were canon and the special moves used for attacks was a or limiting or in the case of Ray Striker, BROKEN. Plus some characters, especially the Gashers and Aquarius were SUPER LOW TIER.

Also, mini rant, can they either make free DLC characters and beys in the future since every post G Revolution never has the full 14-18 characters?
Fusion did not have Reiji, Ryutaro, Dan/Riki, Teru, (Busijiam and Kumsauke I guess)
Masters: screw the Garcias although Argo's a good blader at least, but they couldn't make Starbreaker playable? At least we got some of their beys but still.
Battle Zero was close though, oddly enough Akira's the only major season 1 blader not in, Kitt, Evel, Cho Z awakening beys, Count Night, and Dead Phoenix aren't in.

I guess I can ask this, what works in the beyblade game, what fails in them, and what's the best kind of of way to make a beyblade game that's actually good?

Weird question. Have we ever had a Balance type that was centered around Defense and Stamina?
Cuz we either had
Attack+Defense=Aiga/Achilles, Ren/Regelus, Gou/Gaia, Suoh/Salamander, and Hearts
Attack+Stamina=Naoki/Neptune, Cuza/Chronos,
Attack+Stamina+Defense=Spriggan's upgrades and literally every Defense OP blader (cough PHI)

The only person I could think of might be Tsubasa and that's only because in the real world, Earth Eagle is a balance type, in the anime it was called a defense type, its actual stats are a 7 in Defense and a 13 in Stamina, and in the anime all of his moves are Stamina and Defense oriented. And figuring out the rest would be a stretch.

Thank you, I thought I was the only one that thought about this. Since metal fights fusion Hades we have pretty much not had anything centred around both defense/stamina. I think the real reason why they choose attack with something is because most defense and stamina types are both slow around the stadium and they want to add an element of surprise or more exciting transition since almost all attack types are mobile.

Well I'm glad I'm not alone on this one either. It does make sense for commercial reasons. It actually says a lot when you see bladers like Quon, Zac, Joshua, Phi, and Free performing high speed attacks with Stamina and Defense types while the mid/low tier bladers don't. If they make a good character with that type of blader, I think it could sell pretty damn well.

With the whole balance being we're talking about, Did Agia ever use defense mode in the Xt+ driver, it seems he mainly used Attack mode, he used stamina mode like once or twice

Yeaaa Achilles always seemed to lean towards the attack side, this was still the same with Cho z Achilles but balance mode was the primary mode (he still used attack). I think he used it against Evel.

He used Stamina mode to try and beat Fubuki but Fubuki countered with Emperor Crash. Then before his battle with Xhaka he used Stamina mode and beat Fubuki. As for defense, yeah he used Super Z Press and Defense a lot in that mode.

Two questions.

#1: Is it just me or did the first Burst tournament consist of Valt losing round 1, and then winning the next rounds with a Burst Finish up until the semi-finalists/finalists?

#2: Remember when Hoji nearly defeated Wakiya by trying to attack his bey mid air before it landed (aka failed Daichi vs Kai, best G-Revolution battle ever) so his wings could asborb Wakiya's spin and Burst it? Theoriically, if Wakiya or any defense or stamina blader attempted to try that onto Joshua's bey, could they negate/counter Cyclone..Counter?

For question 2, The entire design of Horusood upper and claw was for it to be somewhat aerial and have it defy friction which is probably why it was able to pull of that awesome feat so not many other bladers could really pull it off. In theory Joshua’s first move, Cyclone wall would produce a wind barrier (similarly to tornado Wyvern) and trap the opposing bey within it. Maybe Garuda could use the wind barrier to fly high up until a point where gravity would make it fall with intense force and burst Jinnius.
