seriously tho why wedge? and 12 as well? weird choices. I'd personally just make it a recolor of Glide but maybe a bit tighter maybe, to be like the manga.

Technically this would be the same as the "two releases" thing that you mentioned, but even more expensive. If anything, upgrade the combo in some way. Maybe something like Glide Ragnaruk 00 Reach Gyro Metal 1S.

Well to be fair, TT has always done this, purposefully scattering an intended to be a complete bey throughout multiple purchases, essentially "DLC'ing" the parts, just to both make more money and giving consumers an incentive to buy something more. They did this with Geist Fafnir's Proof frame and Buster Xcalibur's Dagger frame. For a non anime example, they did it with that Red Shining Amaterios in RBV19.

Xtend+ definitely counts. They intentionally waited until Union Achilles to release it so that most people would have bought it already if they wanted it. The release of Union Achilles doesn't change the concept of making a certain part harder to get, as everyone at the time didn't know that Xtend+ would be re-released later.

Xtend+ is a strange case. It definitely counts, but technically, Achilles was a complete bey from the start and Xtend+ served as an upgrade since the parts are switched completely, where as Xcalibur just missed a part that it has for most of it's appearances. But it's also seems like a kick in the teeth when Aiga uses this for only 11 episodes (not counting GT).
And TT definitely has a habit of rereleasing harder to get parts much later, by the time most have already bought it, like Xtend+ as mentioned, Proof, Wall, Outer, Octa, Atomic, Knockout Odin, you get the point. It's nothing really new and I'd imagine their mentality is that these parts are "obsolete" in favour of the new parts, which are supposed to be better, even if they turned out not to be sometimes. But also make them coloured differently so there's still some incentive to get the original release, like if you want show accuracy, you can't just stick in a black Proof from Pegasus to Geist Fafnir, you gotta get the green one.
