RE: The Legend of Zelda - Shabalabadoo - Nov. 21, 2011

I basically had to point to the floor just to get to the "Done" button, haha.

CD's pretty cool. Nowadays you could just YouTube it in a couple days and find each one though. The first song is the best.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Nano - Nov. 21, 2011

Do you have to swing the Wiimote around to attack?

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Hazel - Nov. 21, 2011

Yes. Skward Sword is WiiMotion+ only.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Shabalabadoo - Nov. 21, 2011

Not much, basically just the amount you need to move it in Twilight Princess, except that you can do that in multiple directions.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Nano - Nov. 21, 2011

Ew, then I might not get it...

I would prefer to use the Gamecube Controller over anything.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Shabalabadoo - Nov. 21, 2011

No! It's actually really cool. Way cooler than pressing buttons.

Quote:Things to do:
  • Convince Nano with Valid Reasoning

It adds more fear, excitement, and intensity. And it's not a nuisance.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Hazel - Nov. 21, 2011

Waggling my arthritic body around is nothing but a nuisance.

The only way this could create fear would be either fear of over-grinding the calcium deposits in my wrists, or fear a boss is about to eat my lunch because of frustrating, unresponsive movements.

Neither option is remotely(HAHAHAHA I AM BRILLIANT terrible) attractive, honestly.

Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed TP quite a lot - but nothing on Earth will ever make me prefer wagglemotion to an actual controller that doesn't require me to act like Michael J Fox to slay a dragon.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Nano - Nov. 21, 2011

My wrists get tired after a while
Posting all this on Wii, and my wrist is already hurting...

But yeah, good enough reason :]

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Shabalabadoo - Nov. 21, 2011

It's scary when there's like, 3 enemies and each one gets damaged differently.

You'd move your hand more eating your sandwich than the twitchy movements in your other arm.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Hazel - Nov. 21, 2011

That just sounds irritating, not scary.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Shabalabadoo - Nov. 21, 2011

YEAH WELL YOU WON'T KNOW UNTIL YOU TRY!!

Very

I'd end up spazzig out trying to kill them all
Then I'd be so tired, I couldn't eat my sammich.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - AeroRespawn - Nov. 21, 2011

It's not like TP, it's more accurate. And you don't need to shake your controller to attack. Single slicing motions work.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Primal - Nov. 21, 2011

I'm currently playing Phantom Hourglass a second time, and I just got done with the Temple of Fire. Has to be one of my avorite Zelda games. Stupid

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Dude - Nov. 21, 2011

Is it possible to set the controls to something else than the motion ones, in Skyward Sword? I'm seriously tired of that gimmick.

Also, is the villain really the guy with the pale face and bloated lips? Kinda lame Uncertain

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Hazel - Nov. 21, 2011

Bloated lips are kind of typical of villains in Zelda games that aren't just literally a giant pig - and it's almost always the same guy.

WiiMotion+ controls only, Dude.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - AeroRespawn - Nov. 21, 2011

I'm assuming you are talking about Ghirahim:

He isn't the main boss, as he was saying "I need the girl to revive my master!" Or something like that with the girl referring to Zelda.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Dude - Nov. 21, 2011

Gee, reviving an ancient evil with the sacrifice of a maiden... That's original...

Yeah, Wii motion plus is a big no-no, from me.

I'll pass for this one.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Hazel - Nov. 21, 2011

Well really, if you come to Zelda games for the plot... get out

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Dude - Nov. 21, 2011

Sorry, but I prefer games that actually try to have an original story.

How many times has the whole summoning a great evil story been told, really? It's practically a cliché, by now, and a cliché I dislike.

Feel free to enjoy the game, though.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - Hazel - Nov. 21, 2011

I can't recall any Zelda games with a plot that wasn't "save the princess" without a single unforseeable plot twist along the way - Twilight Princess tried the hardest, but ultimately failed the biggest.

Personally, I care less about story than the coverart of the game, especially with games within a very defined genre - gameplay and aesthetics are the only thing I care about. In the case of Skyward Sword, though, I'm with you - motion control is just not my future, especially for action RPGs.

RE: The Legend of Zelda - AllGenBlader - Nov. 22, 2011

Geting skyword sword today =D

have you heard of the mother/Earthbund series they have vary original story line and fun game play.I agree that Nintendo dose use that plot for zelda games most every game

I think I've done it three times now?

OoT was more "save the world from evil" more then "save the princess"

Of course I've heard of those games, what kind of video game geek would I be if I hadn't. The plot to those games are pretty decent, too, but we're talking about Zelda, here.

But the whole 'saving the world from evil' is even more over-done, especially in Zelda games! It's in like every single game! Why are there so many powerful entities that want to take over the world, in Zelda's world, anyway? It'd suck to live there, man. Every week, a new evil lord (Or the same one, most of the times) tries to take over the world and some hero has to step forward to stop it.

How many times can that story be told, really?

EDIT: Of course, it is pretty hypocritical from me to say that when I'm a huge fan of the Tales series and nearly every single one, if not all, have the usual 'Save the world' scenario, so... yeah, whatever.
