I hear that the people who made the reimagined Obi-Wan vs Vader ep 4 duel are also remaking Luke vs Vader in ep 5 which is awesome.

Yup, I believe they even have a teaser on their channel.

What feats does Luke even have in canon? The new canon seems to be ignoring him so much. We’ve hardly even seen him do anything.

Lmao yes. Honestly I have nothing against Daisy Ridley, she’s a great actor but man whoever wrote the characters and story should get fired. Finn may as well have been the main charatcer, he was way more interesting and inspirational. It’s too bad he got cast aside so hard.

What about holding back all those blasts using only a force projection in episode 8?

That’s child’s play compared to how much Luke Skywalker should be able to do. Yes a force projection is very impressive but is that really it? The only other canon feats he has is turning Vader back to the light, destroying the Death Star, easily defeating Snoke, and mastering Force repulse (force shockwave), there are a couple more I haven’t mentioned but I think you get my point. Don’t get me wrong they are good feats but this guy is supposed the most powerful Jedi to have ever lived and second most important one at that. Its not that I’m not impressed it’s more so that I want MORE, like seriously, this guy is one of the mascots of Star Wars but we barely have any canon material on him.

Yup. Luke is the strongest jedi and possibly never to be surpassed

In Legends I would say that Luke is the 3rd most powerful force weaker only than the Father of Mortis and Abeloth. In canon I have no idea since all characters are 10 times weaker but I would still say he is in the top 10.

I know I always fantasize Vader turning good. I wish there was a parallel universe in Star Wars where that happened but Star Wars doesn’t seem to have a multiverse.

Because they want to focus on events that actually happen in canon. I honestly want a series only about Luke in between the mandalorian and ep 7.

Luke skywalkers Jedi order was so awesome in legends where it actually worked on, and improved the mistakes of the old Jedi order whereas the canon version wasn’t really all that improved.

Based on Kylo’s unphased and unsurprised reaction to Luke simply standing there, I think it’s heavily implied that Luke could have easily survived those shots had he been there anyways. He actually created an entire force field around his body to defend against at-at shots in legends and it doesn’t seem too op for the most powerf Jedi in canon so it works for me.

It’s too bad that Disney never took much inspiration for their movies apart for what they took from the previous Star Wars movies and the fact that they didn’t even bother to use much material from legends is really stupid. I wish the Star Wars sequels had actually tried giving us a new threat because I’m honestly getting sick of the Sith constantly returning, I want a non dark side related threat. The way I envision the sequel trilogy would go like this: The trilogy would have Thrawn and imperial remnant or the Yuuzhan vong war as the new fresh non dark side threat but also have kept the threat/villains as subplot while the main plot would be Luke rebuilding the Jedi order and Leia rebuilding the republic (just like in George Lucas original sequel trilogy). Not only would it be a new threat, but an entirely new format all together where the main plot of the story is actually about Luke and Leia rebuilding hope while the villains are a secondary plot point. It would even allow them to delve deeper into the force.
