Actually if you think about it, it could be the opposite. The barrier goes away for the limit break system since in the picture lucifer is already half way clicked. Kinda Like how variant's barrier wore down over time making it more aggressive The barrier will go away mid battle for the new lucifer

Isn’t the idea Lain gives off is that he shouldn’t have to deal with that? Cause I thought that the barrier comes out AFTER launching and starts off stored. Wouldn’t it make more sense to have it be the opposite and come out through Limit Break to make it harder to reverse like the Turbo Awakening?

Idk possibly, i was just going off the fact that the barrier isnt out in the picture but its half way clicked meaning its limit-break gimmick is in effect
