We have a part that's a freaking mobius strip? Holy carp, that's awesome! I love when the designers implement science like this. I need this Bey in my life.

Do we actually have a set release date for this Bey though?

Tomorrow. Smile
GREAT! Hopefully this shows up on HLJ, then.

Moebius is currently quite popular in Japan thanks to Ultraman. Oddly, most tokusatsu series seem to follow what Beyblade does: Kamen Rider Fourze came to be when Metal Fight Beyblade was based on horoscope and constellations, Kamen Rider Meteor litterally launched a spinning top from his stick. And in the opposite direction, Beyblade was clearly inspired by the Pegira monster from Godzilla for Begirados in Zero-G, and now this Moebius band-inspired Disc.

Clearly some of those ideas had to come to the creators' mind before they came out in tokusatsu series and vice versa, but the similarities are very weird. You can often make out similarities in an era of Japanese series, from what I noticed.
That makes it all the better for me. I like it when a design has a history or trend to it. That said, I wish the Beys were still based off of celestial bodies and constellations, it was a very interesting concept that I don't think MFB fleshed out as much as it could have. But I'm getting off topic. What could this part possibly do for the performance of the Bey is what intrigues me even more.
In my opinion Infinity will just imbalance most combinations hah.
I disagree, I could be wrong but infinity looks fairly symmetrical from the most recent pictures, which is weird because a true mobius loop should be inherently astmetrical. Maybe it's not /really/ a mobius loop but just something meant to look like it? (i.e. a band thats been twisted twice rather than once, giving it two distinct sides rather than one)

There is indeed as much weight on the whole perimetre, but have you see the side picture posted last month? Vertically the weight is quite different.
Infinity = Burn!

Almost, except that the downward design is the same on both sides, it is really symmetrical:

I think that the disk is just tilted on it's axis, so that one part of it is higher than the other, but nothing is thicker/sticks out further than anything else, but I guess we'll find out tomorrow lol
Indeed, that is what a Moebius band is. However, that still creates some weird vertical balance, which might come into effect as soon as the Beyblade gets hit and slightly destabilised from its vertical axis.
I think Infinity looks like this Möbius String so it could be balanced.
Vertically the problem is still there though...
D2IQ is my new OTP.
Wow. Screw this game now. This YouTuber's Zillion Zeus broke within minutes of having opened it. Wow.

From this video:

I warned your guys that the underside was all hollow, but I never wished for that to directly cause breaks...
So not even the part of the Z broke? This is a new record for sure. Damn some of these dual layers have durabilities of graham crackers...

Thanks Kai-V.
It's extremely sad to see that Takara Tomy's quality has declined so much recently, especially with the Dual Layers. How it went from V2 to breaking in a week to Z2 breaking immediately is very disappointing news indeed. It's hard for me not to call Takara Tomy's recent level of quality the same as TT Hongli's because that's how it feels.

Thank you for the update anyway, Kai-V.
Y'know... it's funny isn't it, Z2MV, that glorified combo, are parts from Beyblades that break easily...

V2, X2 and possibly Z2...

So many breakages with new products. geez quality control get your stuff together!

with all the reported breakages, it makes me less inclined to buy certain beys even though they look awesome. *cough cough* Xeno Xcalibur
Wow, I'm so disappointed... it always seems to be the good-looking ones to break the most. But right after opening the package, it breaks? That's a big no to me. Jesus.

Nah.

Graham crackers are more durable.
I mean, there is still a chance that this is the one unlucky time it happened, like any type of product has a risk of breaking upon opening, but I bet there will be repeats in little time.

That's what I'm thinking too, but seeing the track record and the fact Z2 isn't the most structured or at least round, I won't bet my life savings on it.
Quote:From this video:

Wondering how many rounds the uploader did with Zillion Zeus after cutting scenes.

Constant breakages is seriously not how I want to remember to remember Beyblade Burst in a few years time. Unhappy
