This thread is a congratulatory thread for the winner and persons who placed in the GFX Tournament. Congratulations Fyuuor for winning the 1st GFX Tournament! I offer my commiserations to Omega, whom is a great graphics artist who unfortunately finished just short as the runner up of the Tournament. I would also like to bring attention to NoodooSoup’s efforts of finishing 3rd, after defeating othellog in the 3rd and 4th Play Off. The both of you have improved immensely in GFX skill, you should be very proud of your achievements and progress.
Before I present the prizes, I would like to thank a few people. I would like to thank the participants of the Tournament, without them this Tournament would never have happened. I would like to bring special attention to all the persons who voted during the Tournament, and sacrificed a portion of their time in order to provide constructive criticize which was used to help the participants grow as an artist. This last point isn’t a thank you, but instead me expressing my feelings in relation to the Tournament. The main purpose of the Tournament was for a bit of friendly fun, though my overarching goal was to inspire persons to take up GFX and improve the skills of the GFX artist on this forum. I encourage persons to become creative and express themselves artistically, using PS as a medium is a great outlet. I really do implore its use. Judging from the increased activity in the ‘My Creations’ Forum in the last 2 months, especially in the posting of new GFX work from newly developed PS artist. It makes me proud knowing that those persons may have been inspired taking up GFX since they realize it can be fun and competitive activity, which allows a person to express themselves creatively.
Now onto the prize allocations!
Once again I'd like to thank eveybody who helped this Tournament become the success that it has been. Good luck everybody for the 2nd Tournament, I'm gonna say that Vintage is going to win the 2nd Tournament

hmm, maby omega could be called the king of GFX and fyuuor could be called the god. oh and noodoosoup could be the lord.

To Fyuuor: Thank you for introducing the WBO to the concept of graphic battles. Thank you also, for being the basis of my inspiration of starting graphics. Also, the tournament you had set-up was fantastic. I learned quite a lot from the tournament. You've gone through a lot in the tournament, winning and losing. I congratulate you for your most notable win against Omega and Resistance. We know that they are both very good. Once again, thank you and congrats!
To Omega: As much as I didn't know much about your great graphic making skills, I applaud you for arriving in the finals. As I said to Fyuuor, you've gone through loses and wins. I congratulate you, once again.
To NoodooSoup: You have improved greatly; you and othellog I mean. Keep it up. Congratulations on getting 3rd place. Again, congrats and KIU.
To othellog: You, like I said, have improved very much from this tournament. Keep it up and I'm honored to be one of those who made you go back into making graphics.
To everyone else: It was a very fun experience, battling each other. I thank each one of you for bringing me in graphics. It was like an emotional roller coaster ride.
Now, the 2nd Graphic tournament is about to begin!

I had a lot of fun through this tournament. I advanced so much in Graphics during the course of this time !
I made a lot of friends, learnt, understood, improved and many more things happened to me, I also beat the unstoppable Fyuuor, which I take pride in (You're entry still was so much better than mine. I don't know how you lost with an entry like that.)
Oh, we will see how Vintage beats me in the final, haha.

I can't wait to get better, I'm doing some more advanced tut's. And other stuff, my goal is to first to be able to create sigs in Fyuuor's style. The are really nice, flashy, and have a really nice action look to them. I mean Fyuuor inspired me to get more involved in the beyblade meta-game, and look at my beypoins now!
Also, I' going to really watch out for Vintage, I like his sigs too, but they are different, In a way, Vintage...
I'm looking forward to learning more stuff from him.
I'm really glad to have switched to PS, were graphics experts/professionals like Vintage and Fyuuor can help me out.
Its so nice how beyblade got us together, and now we're great graphics rivals and friends.
Also, I'd like to say thanx to all the people a battled and voted with.
I mean BP, Nodoo, Soul_, Xyo, DeX, you guys are sorta like my graduating class, you know what I mean.
We came in with little and came out becoming WAY better GFX creators.

I did realize a lot of Melbourne bladers were voting for me, I guess they could just recognize my art style and voted for me to show their support or gain some sort of respect or affection :\ I can guarantee you I did not ask them to do anything like that.

In regards to the voting, I believe you when you say that you didn’t instruct certain persons in voting for you. However, the favoritism in voting is an issue I find rather depressing and takes away from the spirit of the contest. I’ve noticed it occurring throughout the entire Tournament, I believe at some point the majority of persons have received a vote due to a voter favoring a certain participant (I’m sure persons voted for myself during the Tournament purely due to favoritism). Unfortunately, if persons give a reasonable answer to why they have voted for an Entry, it doesn’t give an adjudicator much ground to question their reasoning. Since voting is based on personal opinion, it’s quite hard to catch somebody out and admit to favoritism during voting.
Once again, I don’t believe Omega knowingly instructed anybody to specifically vote for him.

Once again, thank you everybody for the support of the Tournament, I’m glad you all enjoyed it. That was my overall goal, to help instill the notion of fun in GFX battles
At this stage I'm not sure if I'll organize or compete in another Tournament, though luckily we have a host of others who are more than willing and capable of creating another successfull Tournament. I wish you all good luck for the 2nd GFX Tournament!
