Actually, I did do some tests. 3 matches isn't enough, but all three matches have been consistent in getting out of Grade Stuck. Like, instead of aiming for G2s, I aim specifically for 1 of 4 Daylights in Mulligan. All three times, I've gotten a Daylight post-Mulligan, but I also ended up with G2s. It's not bad, at least I know I have a backup, but I still met the goal: the consistency of getting out of Grade Stuck. I still need to take more tests to see how often I can get out of Grade Stuck by Turn 2. I admit that 3 tests isn't enough, but I'm not very patient and all (lol).

So would you recommend taking out Heatnail or Kimnara? Taking out Kimnara saves on CB, and it minuses itself out into the Soul while Heatnail minuses itself back into the deck for more use. I currently have 2 Heatnails in the deck. I also have 3 Eclipses, 3 Gokus, and 2 Waterfalls (at 9). So that just leaves adding to my 7 G2.

My current G2 lineup is as shown, but I removed the Tejas (now at 6), and I removed Kimnara from the G1 lineup (now at 15). Should I add 10ks instead of adding more Dusks? Especially since Dusk is searchable, there isn't a need to run a maximum.

Edit: My last test shows that, yes, Daylight has been consistent in a majority of games. However, I feel that I am relying too much on Amber Dragon, and that I should focus more on Waterfall because it can cover all stages of the game compared to, say, Goku on its own. Not to say that I won't use Goku, but I might have to rethink my Amber Dragon decision. Maybe make Amber Dragon a second deck instead of a multi-functional deck.
I would still keep both actually. Running on 2 each is still ok, the rest going to G2 resource. By G2 resource I dont mean by grade stuck to G2. I mean Grade stuck to G3... If you end up at G2, at least its still salvageable since Dusk hits for 20 if boosted with Barh and the rest just function as sweeper material.

You may also want to consider reducing Berserk to 2 and pump in other higher power alternatives to just keep hitting on. Perhaps 1 more Dusk for consistency and Nehalem/Lava Arm for attacking.

For G3, Id take out the Goku to be honest. If you dont ride him as VG material, he's just a 10K vanilla. At least Waterfowl, you could ride it at end game over Eclipse when you run out of CBs. Id rather still stick to 8 G3s and let DO take Goku's spot and let him be an unboosted RG sweeper. You could leave retirement to your Kinala/Heatnail/Tejas/Berserk/Amber. If you look at the list, thats actually quite a few back row retirement options.

To be honest, I would rather run Amber on its own. As a one of the chain ride available in BT04, he's one of the more pressuring one next to Stern since it gives the opponent a choice to either take the damage or guard. It screws up decks which requires setup BIG TIME. You either lose your shields early or lose your field setup.

For me, I view G3 as a liability. They have no guard value, and you can only use them rather late in game. As much as possible, I would prefer to run to minimum amount. Thats just my opinion though.
So basically, Goku and Amber can't really sit in the same deck because it's conflicting. If I run Amber Early Game, then Goku becomes a 10k Vanilla. If I ride Goku Early Game, Amber becomes a 10k Vanilla. Now that I think about it, that means I can only one run or the other. So if I were to run Goku or Amber as my Early VG, and Waterfall for the rest of the game, then the last spot should go to...Dragonic Executioner?

Normally, I don't run DE because I focus more on VG strength than RG strength, but you bring up a point about a 10k Vanilla. If I want to put a G3 into my RG, then I'm better off with Executioner because of its 13k offensive. That way, if I run Amber, I'd put more into my Retiring G2s and G1s with the Amber Line. If I run Goku, I'd focus more on my G3s to utilize its effect.

Yeah, this will work. So I'm gonna make two seperate deck lists and post it here. I'm also asking VMundi for advice, and someone told me to run Executioner, which is where I got the idea from.

No DE but DO. Currently there are no units which is valued higher than 11K on the RG circle. And DE only hits for 12K and is just 10K base.

DE is only good if you're aiming to hit 20K. And that option is to VG only. But as VG material, he's a good alternative. But again I still prefer DO. He's just more versatile in this scenario. If you do end up not using any CB for some weird reason at least you could activate his skill and hit for 3 stage attacks. You could use that to combo with WaterFowl at the center.

The few possible G3 scenarios you have are these:
Amber = You use up CB to pressure. Once you instill or think you've burn enough and stock up on G3, waterfowl kicks in

Goku = The moment you ride this, you tend to have the tendency of wanting him to remain hoping for a G3 drive check. But the moment that happens, it may be too late to recover

Waterfowl = Works both late and early game. Apparently the VG of choice for you. If you ride early game, you could push retirement to Berserk and the likes. If you push early game, he goes well with Heatnail.

DE = Good as RG material to take down VG. If opponent is 10K base, he's a killer. Unfortunately BT04 expansion released many many 11K VG powered units. He may not be as useful

DO = Static 11K. On VG, he's defensive. DE/Marhaus + 8K clones are still just 10K guards for him. If you activate his skill + Boosted, no matter what happens, 2 cards are CONFIRMED to fly off to either the damage zone or drop zone.

The image I have for Kagero is to sweep to SAVE hand since they have no real mechanics to grow...
Well, I don't have DE anyway, so DO is a good replacement.

I swear, I feel like I'm collecting Kagero cards jsut for the sake of making Kagero decks. Have you seen the VMundi BFD-Aleph deck? I wanna try it so bad!
i love cardfight vanguard i am going to get that series imported from japan
lol wut?

If you mean the card game, they have English versions already up to BT07 (though BT05 is coming in February). Unless you're going to be an OCG player, then you have a lot more to choose from.
um i will buy the card game here and i will get the anime imported from japan
I have a n00bish question so here goes-
What would a good Gold Paladin deck be if im on a budget?
Also, my sister needs a deck, shes also on a budget. Sorry this is so general, but what would a good deck be?
A Reindeer/Carine Bermuda Triangle deck is a good start. Mostly commons, and you don't need to buy PGs. You can just replace those with Special Intercepts until you can pick those up. BT PGs are about $15 on the market atm.
for golds, unfortunately the only deck that is any good that can be considered a buget deck, is a trial deck with kryph and a songle ezel. around here, thats about $45. i currently have this deck with tron and tripp added (making my deck worth $50) and well, for a deck with no nulls it goes quite well, just don't focus too much with ezel.

for your sis, the deck above is one, if not the, cheapest deck. thanks to someone giving away commons and rares from the burmuda set, i made that deck for $5. it's not great, but it's a good deck to teach with and can win against stronger decks, just as long as you know the deck well.
Thanks! I got her a booster vol. 2 and all 5 cards were BT, is that normal? Also tried my luck with a vol. 7 but no GP's. thanks for the help everybody!
...There's a difference between Booster Set 2 and Extra Booster 2. If you got all Bermuda Triangle, then you probably got Extra Booster 2.

Then yeah, it's normal. Extra Boosters 2, 4, 5, and 6 are going to be very Clan specific. 2 and 6 for Bermuda Triangles, 4 for Nova Grapplers, and 5 for Oracle Think Tanks.
Ok sorry, I'm relatively new to this XD Thanks for clarifying.
If you wanna make a usable deck for Bermuda Triangle, you'd otherwise need 2 to 3 boxes. If you're really hunting, 4 to 5. Perfect Guards are usually a staple, but they're so honkin' expensive.
For all of you guys asking for a Gold Paladin budget, go for an Aggravain build deck. An Aggravain build would have to be really cheap. I got mine for around $15. The only weakness is the fact it's going to be hard to soul stack, so I tried something special, a Galahad- Aggravain hybrid deck. Just use 4 of each Galahad andothers should be GP's to pump up Aggravain
So I tested it and I can megablast at turn 4-6 if you got everything perfectly. Galahad racks up your soul easily.
Well I built my shadow paladins based off what i got and here is the deck-list. Any thoughts?

1x Fullbau
1x phantom blaster dragon
1x dark metal dragonj
2x dark dictator
2x dark sage badhabh caar
3x blaster dark
3 skull witch nemain
3x knight of darkness rugos
2x cursed lancer
4x blaster javelin
4x black sage charon
2x dark shield mac lir
2x witch of nostrum, arianrhod
2x doranbau
4x grim reaper
4x abyss healer
4x abyss freezer
4x darkside trumpeter

This is a tcg deck so does anyone have any thoughts?
Do you really have just 6 Grade 3s? Well, that makes sense if it's based off of what you got (assuming 2 boxes). If possible, if you've ever collected EB03s and you have some Ildonae lying around, use that.

You mainly only need 1 Nemain, especially because of how horrendous it is (3k G2? Really?). When you can, if ever, replace 1 Blaster Dark and 2 Nemain for 3 Macha.

Finally, if ever the chance, switch out Doranbau with Gururubau. I understand how hard this may be due to Macha being an RRR and Gururubau a RR (and Mac Lir, yeah, that's not fun...).
actually i am running one gurrurubau and i did get two boxes but nemein is really good for draw power so im gonna keep her and i do have an illdonna i just dont like that card but its ok. But i do need macha's.
Okay, this is what VMundi says about Nemain:

VMundi - Shadow Paladin article Wrote:The last Morrigan, and last of our advantage engine, is Skull Witch Nemain (pronounced NE-vuhn, go figure). When she's called, you can pay the cost of counterblast 1 in order to discard a Shadow Paladin and draw 2 cards. Strictly speaking, this is a net +1 to advantage since you get to keep Nemain. Unfortunately, she sports the lowest printed power in the game—3000, which is shared only with trigger units. This makes her the worst possible printed Grade 2 to ride in the game. In order to get the best use out of this phenomenal skill, you would need a way to retire Nemain for a +1 as well. Just like Macha and Badb, Shadow Paladins also provide a way for this Morrigan to be cycled into advantage.

Your main concern is that, while you wait for this heavenly hand of advantage cycling, you need to make use of Nemain now. Unless you're willing to turn her into a 2-card cycler, you'll have to put an 8000 booster behind Nemain to get ready to hit for 11000, or one stage. This means she works great as a follow up to Macha. Beware of riding this card, however. The 3000 power guarantees that you will have the worst Early game of all time. It's worth calling trigger units just to try and get 3 damage on you in one turn (barring Criticals) just for riding Nemain. Most rank 1 decks can run 8 Grade 2s in order to take advantage of the riding probabilities. However, Shadow Paladins should add an additional Grade 2 for each copy of Nemain present to make absolute certain you never ride her. Mulligan her away if she's your only Grade 2 because miss-riding for a turn is seriously better than riding her.

Yeah, one reason why Alice only uses 1 Nemain in her deck builds, which I was suggesting from, was because of this. It's so you avoid Riding a terrible G2. You really don't want to ride Nemain AT ALL. So if you run more than one copy of Nemain, you need to add an extra G2 (and thus minusing from your G1 or G3 count) to ensure that you don't ever Ride Nemain. Ever. Of all time. So you can keep your Nemain, but you're still going to need more non-Nemain (aka "normal G2") to balance it.
That is a fair reason to run 1-2 but sice i started test playing i really like the playibility of nemains skill for its low cost
Also does anyone who plays Vanguard Live near Scarsdale, New York?
Please don't double post. Just edit your post.
Given the drawing potential of SP, its possible to run a lesser amount of G3s. Running a playset of her is suicidal though

, actually I find running more than 1 copy of her being ok. I've seen decks running 2 to 3 of her because Javelin assures you the BD. I suppose the combo is intended... And if you do run more Nemain, running less G3 is technically ok since if you do end up with a Nemain on your G2 turn, you could use her to attempt to fetch the missing G3. But of course, this is just me noticing things on what people do. Whether they actually work, I have no idea.

Get your hands on at least 3 Macha, though likely you would be running only 2. She would be one of the main cards which actually generates you a usable field seeing that she gets you a booster. For BT05, she's especially useful since there are ways to exploit her and I've heard from some long time Shadow Players that if they face another Shadow player, the card which turns the tide would be who gets to play their Macha right (either getting the Nightmare painter for PBO/Charon for Masquerade or others... )

Okay, so here's something I came across in the VMundi forums. Someone made a thread about "Attack Order", or where you decide the order of your attacks, ESPECIALLY at Late Game. It's VERY important to decide how and when you'll attack with specific units. Unfortunately, I'm a poor judge at these kinds of things.

There are a bunch of conditions to attack. For example, if you're Stand spamming with NGs, people would go RG RG VG. This way, you grab a Stand Trigger (whose Trigger effect, not boost effect, can't affect VGs, btw) and stand and boost your RG (or just Stand your RG and Boost your VG to pass a guard). Or some people would go RG VG RG, which is sort of normal. The last option would be VG RG RG. Now, Aqua Force just has more than 3 attacks all over the place, so I can't vouch for it.

Now, here's my problem. I normally go VG RG RG, and I'm running a Kagero deck, mainly Goku. The topic is Late Game, so my VG by that time would probably, and should, be Dragonic Waterfall. With Goku, I'd have accumulated G3s for Retire-fest, and Waterfall would be able to make use of them by hitting to Stage 3 on its own, Stage 4-5 boosted. At that point, what would be the best order to attack with if you had a full front row?
