It's double elimination, so he can lose a maximum of 2 matches and wins are more difficult to come by.

thats kinda unfair coz i live in Harrow, London and i have a tutor and it finishes at about 12:30pm so can you make a allowment for me

Dude there is others that can't go, there not just gonna make an allowment for one person. Plus anyway you can get to the tourney for 12:30-13:00pm.
