Nightmare Longinus Testing and Discussion - Wombat - Nov. 17, 2020 I know Nightmare Longinus is an old part that we know a lot about already, but recently I got curious enough about the trend in Toronto of using Turn on nL combos to try it out myself, and we didn't really have a dedicated nL thread, so here we go I guess. I was a bit worried about Turn scraping, so I also tried out nL.T.Ev hoping that Ev's height could balance out the low hanging Frame, but even on X' it didn't end up being a noticeable issue except for two or three occasions. Nightmare Longinus Turn Xtreme' vs Asteroid Zeutron Z3 0Proof Atomic nL.T.X': 12 wins (11 KO, 1 Burst) aZ3.0P.At: 8 wins (all OS) nL.T.X' win rate: 60% Nightmare Longinus Turn Evolution vs Asteroid Zeutron Z3 0Proof Atomic nL.T.Ev: 10 wins (all KO) aZ3.0P.At: 10 wins (all OS) nL.T.Ev win rate: 50% Nightmare Longinus Turn Evolution vs Twin Nemesis 00Proof Atomic nL.T.Ev: 13 wins (10 KO, 2 Burst, 1 OS) tN.00P.At: 7 wins (1 KO, 1 Burst, 5 OS) nL.T.Ev win rate: 65% I'd say these are pretty good numbers for a KO Attacker like nL against opposite spin Stamina/Defense/Balance hybrids. It's putting up numbers, bro. Nightmare Longinus Turn Evolution vs Geist Fafnir 00Expand Atomic nL.T.Ev: 9 wins (4 KO 5 Burst) gF.00E.At: 1 win (OS) nL.T.Ev win rate: 90% Idk whether it was Turn, or Evolution, or maybe nL is just way better is just same spin than I thought. This matchup made Geist seem kinda wimpy. I still think its best setup is on Ds', but I don't have that, and now I'm also wondering about the viability of a gF KO Defense combo using something like Kp'. Speaking of which Nightmare Longinus Turn Xtreme' vs Maximum Garuda 00 Keep' nL.T.X': 5 wins (all KO) mG.00.Kp': 15 wins (all OS) nL.T.X win rate: 25% Nightmare Longinus Turn Evolution vs Maximum Garuda 00 Keep' nL.T.Ev: 1 win (OS) mG.00.Kp': 9 wins (all OS) nL.T.Ev win rate: 10% mG walled it pretty effectively. If for left spin in Limited we have nL for KO Attack, Drain and Inferno for Stamina, bL for mixed and stationary attack, so that leaves gF for Defense? Should gF combos also move towards being more defensive? Nightmare Longinus puts on a good match. Those ties could have been avoided if you didn't want Bump as the Frame, LAD-wise Keep tends to perform best on Outer or on a smooth Core Disk with no Frame. Nightmare Longinus Turn Xtreme' vs Vice Leopard 00Lift Bearing nL.T.X': 6 wins (5 KO 1 Burst) vL.00L.Br: 14 wins (all OS) nL.T.X' win rate: 30% I decided to try it against vL (as a Shining/Shadow stand in), and it got basically the same win rate... Not sure exactly what conclusions can be drawn from that result bot idk if it's a good idea to necessarily leave a layer in the game that gives Bearing the same stopping power as Kp'. Hey your match Up against Geist Fafnir is not the best In my Opinion.i was playing Limited Deck Format With my Friend and I knew he Had Nightmare Longinus. After some testing myself I had found out that if you had changed the driver to Orbit Metal Bursting from nightmare longinus was dramatically reduced Also you need to try Nightmare Longinus Turn Xtreme' against another Left Spin Attacker such as Bloody Longinus. I tried it against Bloody Longinus 0Expand Evolution and it was burst 10 times in a row. Your testing is actually more against stamina types and is lacking against attack types so the data you are getting is not complete Nightmare Longinus is extremely vulnerable to Bloody Longinus in my Opinion so you should definitely consider this. |
