My terrible opinions - snoc - Jun. 18, 2020
I guess this is considered a blog. Anyways welcome, I post things here such as the ones below.
POST 1-THE PROBLEM WITH BEYBLADE BURST ANIME ADAPTIONS
the manga of beyblade burst always delivers in some way. Whether its the entire thing, the battles, the story, regardless of my overall feelings for the series I always find myself buying another CoroCoro to read the next chapter. However with the anime-its complicated. Its like something was taken from the manga while creating the anime. This does not apply for the original season of burst tho, pretty much everything after. So don't get me wrong, Beyblade Burst God is one of my favorite seasons of an anime I've ever watched and just amazing, however when reading the manga.....somethings missing. The Manga constantly delivers with good battles that keep advancing the story while maintaining a good level of pacing. You know Red Eye is Shu but that reveal is just amazing. For the anime......its like the shock factor and level of charm was taken away. I was hyped for the battles in the God Bladers tournament, but it felt like just: Here's a battle, here's another one, here's another one, and while that is what happened.....the manga just does it way better.
Everything feels like it just flows together alot more. Now we go to Chouzetsu: Like this season or not, it has probably the best concept but the most flaws for a beyblade season, and turned out to be one of the lowest ranked imo. Lots of people say "Well the second half is good" And for the manga, it was. I was tired of seeing Aiga's face constantly ngl, however I wanted to see the next battle. As for the anime....it just felt so lifeless. In all of the other seasons the final battle was so hype, my heart is racing, but for chouzetsu I felt nothing. The battle was executed well in the manga, but the anime was just.......stripped of all its life. It felt like they were just rushing to finally finish the series (I mean, I'm glad its finally over but still). And the ending with "I'm now the best blader in the world!!" With it panning out to the earth was a lot better done in the manga imo.
So things were taking from other seasons yes, but GT was hit the hardest imo. It just-lost all of its charm and appeal for a lot of it. The second half gets closer to the manga's level of amazing, but not quite. Each fight in the manga would leave you waiting to see the next, especially with Delta. You hear about him and see his abilities fighting Joker, then he finally fights Drum! You're excited, its a really well done battle! And for the anime....not so much. All the levels of hype were just gone. He just kinda showed up and they fought. The fight it self also loses everything it had, it was just beys clashing, with no real weight to it.
Especially with Aiga's tournament, in the manga it was the fight against Heaven Pegasus and while not the flashiest, Drum just barely won with some quick thinking. After we see a glimpse of Aiga, and wonder what Fighting him's gonna be like. We get to the fight and its Drum and Delta vs Aiga, Drum takes advantage of his abilities and Diabolos to win the match. Then Arthur comes out of nowhere and its genuinely a surprise. Who's this guy? Oh carp he broke Dragon! In the anime they stretched it out with some weird challenge thing which was so unnecessary. The Drum and Delta vs Aiga fight wasn't even in the anime (and if it was it turned out to be lifeless just like the drum and delta one, so lifeless I couldnt remember it). Everything after this gets better tho. (especially that Drum vs Arthur fight).
So we see how each season has been heavily affected. But why? I find it weird that they stray so far from the manga at times. I get you want filler, but they just ruin the pacing and structure each arc around pointless filler, then proceed to shove some plot in. This is not how you properly do filler imo, You just add a couple episodes that fit into the story, however stray away from the main plot. These usually strengthen bonds between characters. Anyways rant over, if you've read this far thx.
POST 2-RANKING THE JAPANESE BURST ANIME OPENINGS
today was kinda boring but here this is. None of them are straight up bad, but I prefer some over others
1-Chouzetsu Muteki Blader! (season 3 op)
Easily the best imo, the intensity fits the overall series and its such a banger. I listen to this alot in my free time. Also describes Aiga's personality through the lyrics extremely well.
2-Go Burst (season 1 op)
Its light hearted yet intense feel fits this season very well. The scene with the elite 4 is awesome, and its just a great op to listen too. Rather than skip this is one of the highlights of a season 1 episode.
3-Sparking Revolution (season 5 op)
Its relatively new but is already a great song. It ramps up its speed and intensity very well, and while there's a lack of other characters they portray Hikaru and Hyuga very well.
4-Evolution Burst (season 2 op)
I like the song but it wasn't anything too special. It could've been a bit more intense to fit the season, but its still a good song and the visuals are great as well.
5-Gatti N' Roll (season 4 op)
This song is easily the weakest of the bunch, but I enjoy this one the most. Its short but incredibly catchy, and has great visuals to pair it up with.
POST 3-BEYBLADE AND POWER SCALING
So on the topic of "which gen's anime is better". Lots of people say plastic cause it was cooler in darker, others say MFB cause it was cool, dark, and for nostalgia reasons, and other say burst cause.....actually they don't. Burst Is more of a sports anime rather than fighting to save the world, but it does fix one key problem: power scaling.
Like dragon ball the louder you yell the stronger your bit beast gets and you get a random power boost, use a special move and win. Besides focusing on parts and stuff every now and then, that's pretty much it for MFB. Plastic gen had a a much better mix of skill and parts with fantasy elements, so it wasn't just "my bit beast is mroe powerful than yours so I win!". Sadly at the end of the day that's what it came down to alot.
Now Burst: Burst is more realistic with focus on parts and using your beys gimmicks to your advantage. The actual avatars can see everything that happens and can interact with their bladers in the void, but they fight each other on their own plane of existence. It is rare but both bey and blader can get in the same plane of existence. (the white space at the god final battle). Other planes of reality can have you be so close with your beys avatar that you can use its powers (Gt episode 49 with golden drum). Bonds are also represented as an energy called resonance.
While which is better is up to the viewer, Avatars not being able to effect the battle to directly (like making giant craters and stuff) fixes power scaling alot. Sure you can yell alot and power up, and your bey might go faster and hit harder, but that doesn't mean you'll win. Anyways that was a small thing, expect slightly bigger blog posts soon.
POST 4-RANKING THE BEYBLADE BURST ENGLISH OPENINGS
self explanatory I think. Again none are bad, but I prefer some over others.
1-Turbo (season 3 op)
I don't know what made them get NateWantsToBattle, so sing a beyblade op, but I'm glad they did. Its intense and the fits the season very well. Also the visuals they choose are great as well. I hope we get more like these in the future
2-Rise (season 4 op)
I never thought I'd see a rock song used for beyblade, but here we are. It took a while to grow on me, but I love this song now. I still prefer the vibe and atmosphere that Turbo brings to the table though
3-Evolution (season 2)
Its simple and a bit too lighthearted, but it fits fairly well. It ramps up in intensity and feels natural, which I like. After a while the son gets kind of stale though, but its not bad.
4-Our Time (season 1)
Our TIme holds a very special place in my heart, but its a bit simple. Its lyrics fit very well along with the visuals though, definitely a really good opening. And something about it just has a bit more intensity than other openings.

Even though it kinda is a few walls of text, I completely agree! Even though I don't read the manga, when I do see Japanese YouTubers put up videos of them reading it, I love it! The manga has some kind of magic in the battles and interactions that the anime can't(or won't) accomplish.
I'm definitely subscribing to this page.

Shu should have been champ in god I think that would make it so the story of cho z could be more interesting when beyblade was ruled by anger and chaos by red eye and it could go more into the mind of shu and sorta have him go more and more insane after every battle till Valt brakes through to shu and become champ

also the cho z spriggan could have been this like corrupted spriggan that’s more of a black and blood red and make it represent shu’s insanity
Also when shu’s going insane in his battles it could have behind him a shadow of his pose but a more evil demonic demon like shu
