How do I get into burst? - ItsSwift - Oct. 10, 2019

I recently got back into Beyblade, I’m a huge metal fight fan and have a huge collection of it. I never got into burst because in the beginning I hated the idea of bringing plastic back, but from what I’ve gathered the metal fight scene is while not dead just hanging in by a thread. My question is should I get into burst? I have no idea what any of them are or where to start.

It depends on where You live. If u live in USA, i would recommend a cross collision starter set and optional some Single Packs. In USA hasbro beys are very affordable.

If u then like burst, u could Import some random boosters from TT.

Definitely don’t buy the hasbro beys. If you mean competitively (which I assume you are) then get the GT Triple booster set. That is the best set to start off with.

If you're planning on being competitive, I recommend starting with any old cheap Burst beys. Go to a tournament, and watch what other people use. Determine if you think Burst is fun and interesting. Then when you're ready to compete for real, start collecting the important pieces:

GT Customize Set
Union Achilles (or just an Xtend+ tip)
Judgement
Zwei
And if you want more than those, Perfect Phoenix is still quite good (Need Dead Phoenix and Revive Phoenix layers), Hell Salamander and Archer Hercules are still useful at times.

Pick up specific discs and tips you need as necessary.

What's wrong with affordability? I think the prices are fine.

It has nothing to do with affordability and you know it. It has to do with the fact the Hasbro turbo beys are completely and totally unviable and even in a Hasbro meta. The only reason to buy any of these if if they get legalized in classic, and besides the turbo exclusives, only 3 or 4 would probably be legal. If you are going to play Hasbro, get dC3, B3, SrS3 and a couple others, but not turbo beys. I can only recommend 2, which are tA4 because Dm-S is OP and maybe tS4 because it could be good.

I understand what you're saying now. In your original response, I thought you were complaining about pricing. I don't know about Turbo Achilles for attack. I think Turbo Valtryek is better. Turbo Spryzen will work just like Cho-Z Spriggan for Hasbro.

E/L/W/Rt/ and maybe T. Those are the frames, the meta disks should work just fine.

I never said tA4 for attack. Its not good, idk if tV3 is any good, but I ment tA4 for the tip and disk.

If he wanted to play competitive, then he would not be inactive since metal fight. I mean, since when there is Beyblade Burst on the market? Some years.

I still recommend Hasbro starter sets. Especially if he just wants to shop in his city and not wait 4 weeks for air mail from Hong Kong.

Buying Hasbro limits him heavily, and reduces his chances of winning. Waiting it out may be the better choice here.

Sorry for not responding sooner, but thank you all. I think I will stick to Takara Tomy. I’m fond of competitive mfb because I understand it, I’m not sure about burst as currently beyblade is just a hobby of mine. None the less i appreciate the suggestions from everyone!

I recommend getting a used lot to try if you don’t mind used. This is a good one in my opinion in terms of value. There are good parts for both the burst standard and burst classic format.
