Charge Performance Tip Testing and Discussion - LazerBeamz - Mar. 23, 2019

Hey Everyone,

I was able to get my hands on Charge (along the first wave of GT Beys). I have been doing some testing with it in Same Spin match-ups and I am very impressed with the results. I have not found my Charge to have as little Burst resistance as everyone makes it out to have. The spring feels fairly tight on Layers like Cho-Z Achilles, Cho-Z Valkyrie, and Winning Valkyrie. So far, I was able to do formal tests with Cho-Z Achilles against both Archer Hercules and Perfect Phoenix on Outer Xtend+ (Stamina Mode) with and without a Level Chip. In these tests, both Beyblades were launched at the same time. Here are the results:

Archer Hercules Outer Xtend+ (Stamina Mode) vs. Cho-Z Achilles Sting Charge
- aH.Ω.Xt+: 1 OS (10% Win Rate)
- choA.St.Ch: 6 OS, 3 Burst (90% Win Rate)

[Level Chip] Archer Hercules Outer Xtend+ (Stamina Mode) vs. Cho-Z Achilles Sting Charge
- [LC] aH.Ω.Xt+: 0 Wins (0% Win Rate)
- choA.St.Ch: 6 Burst, 2 OS, 2 KO (100% Win Rate)

Perfect Phoenix Outer Xtend+ (Stamina Mode) vs. Cho-Z Achilles Sting Charge
- pP.Ω.Xt+: 5 OS (50% Win Rate)
- choA.St.Ch: 4 OS, 1 KO (50% Win Rate)

[Level Chip] Perfect Phoenix Outer Xtend+ (Stamina Mode) vs. Cho-Z Achilles Sting Charge
- [LC] pP.Ω.Xt+: 4 OS, 1 KO (50% Win Rate)
- choA.St.Ch: 3 Burst, 2 OS (50% Win Rate)

I will try and do some more testing with Charge on other Layers and against more drivers and report back. If you have Charge, I'd love to hear your findings. I am very excited to see how Charge and all current and Future GT Drivers could impact the current META.

Try charge on a mobile defense combo

How controllable is Charge in comparison to Accel/Zephyr? It seems like it has decent stamina for the most part, at the very least.

This is pretty interesting! I haven't gotten my hands on Charge yet and I was pretty sceptical of it since it has those spikes on the underside that scrape on the Tornado Ridge, but from these tests it seems like it's pretty good for mixed attack!

How does the performamce of Charge on choA compare to choA on Accel'? I assume the extra weight would help with control and the tip looks like it's about the same diameter as Accel/Accel'.

I unfortunately do not have access to Accel' to test. If you do, definitely share your results. Would love to compare!

Heavier drivers usually lower the Center of gravity on the bey, making it harder to knock around compared to a top heavy bey.

Competitive Mobile don't really exist anymore. + Weight of this driver will peobabpr turn it into a balance by adding destabilizing power or attack (as Basalt RF was a thing lol).

But I will also like to see it tested on some Defence/Stamina layers like pP, CZ-S and aH Smile.

Hey All,

I wanted to share some more test I have done with Charge. I am primarily focusing on attack set-ups right now, but I will move on to Defense and Stamina testing with Charge soon. For these tests, both Beys were launched at the same time.

Here are the results:

[Level Chip] (Defense Mode) Hell Salamander 10Bump Xtend+ (Stamina Mode) vs. (Left Spin) Cho-Z Spriggan Sting Charge
- [LC] hS.10B.Xt+: 4 OS (40% Win Rate)
- choS.St.Ch: 3 Burst, 2 KO, 1 OS (60% Win Rate)

(Defense Mode) Hell Salamander 10Bump Xtend+ (Stamina Mode) vs. (Left Spin) Cho-Z Spriggan Sting Charge
- hS.10B.Xt+: 4 OS (40% Win Rate)
- choS.St.Ch: 3 OS, 3 Burst (60% Win Rate)

(Left Spin) Cho-Z Spriggan 00Wall Bearing vs. Cho-Z Achilles Sting Charge
- choS.00W.Br: 5 OS, 2 KO (70% Win Rate)
- choA.St.Ch: 2 KO, 1 OS (30% Win Rate)

I think it's awesome to see Charge be an effective counter to Left Spin Stamina set-ups like hS.10B.Xt+. It was also interesting to see how using a Level Chip, in this scenario, barely impacted the results. I was also impressed by choA's performance against choS.00W.Br. Though it only won 3 battles, it was great to see it OS and KO Bearing.

I hope you all find these tests helpful. I wish I could do more, but it's been a slow testing weekend. More to come soon!

Has anyone tested Charge with the Judgment layer base?

I'd definitely attempt to do it myself but my collection of TT parts is severely lacking for testing competitive combos.

RE: Charge Performance Tip Testing and Discussion - DrPedrão - Jun. 26, 2019

recently, I've been thinking that nL .α.Ch could be a great combo for KO Attack, but don't have αngle nor nL to test it out

Do you mean separate tests or did you mean Angle and not Anchor? Angle is a frame, Anchor is a driver.

Why not Zwei Longinus in that combo instead of nightmare longinus?

RE: Charge Performance Tip Testing and Discussion - DrPedrão - Jun. 26, 2019

nightmare Longinus and αngle have a strange grip to each other that makes the bey pretty much unburstable, both k1mbo and sakurazeus made videos on that

RE: Charge Performance Tip Testing and Discussion - Starblaster_sb - Jun. 26, 2019

Atomic or bearing on everything man

I know that. Was just saying that zwei longinus is probably pretty tough to burst due to it's teeth and heavy weight. It will be burstable, but the combo itself will be more universal because it will have a better chance against right spins.
