This a question about the engine gear system. How come only metal peformance tips are on engine gear and not rubber or plastic. Is it because of the friction?

*Cough**cough*Turbo Weight/Light sharp weight *cough*
Also The reason is fragility I think, for only one Gear weight being rubber. The shafts are too thin

Also increase in height

What if the gears were metal would it have to be changed?
