Should I Get Back In The Game // RVA - ohninjaplease - Jun. 23, 2018 Living in Henrico, VA. Used to play years ago back with my Takara collection and old custom launchers, sold all and my stadium in the past. However currently, I'm trying to get back into the game and play competitive. How is the entry, what's the cost to get in competitive, how are the events in Virginia. Is it worth, is the competitive scene and community big? Discuss. RE: Should I Get Back In The Game // RVA - Frostic Fox - Jun. 23, 2018 There was a tournament in Virginia just today. Looks like you found a Virginia community thread already, and there's this from May: (May. 11, 2018 4:30 PM)AmishRaven Wrote: We have run several successful events in the Richmond area the past few months... Last month we had 60 players attend!! We took off the month of May - everyone was too busy. Our next event in June should be a good one, if you want to attend? Keep an eye out for the listing to go up in the next week or so? If you want the best stadium, the Burst BeyStadium Standard Type, that'll run you anywhere between $40-$120, depending on if you get it by itself or in a battle set. I think the good LR launchers run between $10-$25, depending on which you go for (ripcord vs. string). Current Cho-Z Beyblades run about $20 apiece, more or less depending. The B-98 God Customize Set goes for $50 and will get you some good discs, frames, and drivers in one box. I'd say $150-$200 is good to get started competitively, buying what you can from overseas for the lowest prices. But you do what you can with what money you got if you're really interested. Is it worth it? That's up to you to decide. I have no tournaments at all in my area, but I still went for it. Hopefully with some effort, that'll change, but I'm OK right now. Prizes are typically a booster or starter set for the tournaments I host in Richmond. Our next event will be Burst (Team Format) on July 14th and may be followed by an HMS tournament depending on when HMS/Plastics Remembrance weekend falls this year. |
