New to BeyBlades- Question about the new Super Z beys - gkannon77 - Jun. 01, 2018 Fisrt, my son and I love this hobby/game. He is 7, and I am 40. We purchased the Star Storm set with Valtryek and Satomb, God/Switch Strike beys, if I understand correctly. Then my son requested a Winning Valkyrie (TT) which consistently wins against all the God beys we have. I later found out that a main reason Winning was... winning (pun intended) was because it was the evolution of the God beys, to the Super Z Layer system. So I purchased a Bloody Longinous, which I though would at least compete. I was wrong. It NEVER wins a stamina or burst battle with Winning Valkyrie. Its almost like it Burst WAS too easy. I am talking about out of 50+ matches it hasnt won a stamina or burst battle yet. I did notice that its forge disc is very loose as well. Is it normal to have a very loose forge disc? I did hear that a few beys last season were dominating, such as Longinous & Spriggan, but is it normal to have such a discrepancy as far as bey strengths in the same generation/system? Is it possible I have a faulty bey and should return it?? Thanks for any/all feedback, I really want to like this hobby, its just rubbing me the wrong was after this last bey purchase. RE: New to BeyBlades- Question about the new Super Z beys - leosama - Jun. 01, 2018 The new Super Z beys are very loose in the disc because they are made to be that way. It can be fixed with a level chip, but they cost about $200 and don't provide much of a boost. The Jolt Driver on Bloody Longinus is made of rubber and is jagged, for lots of friction. This makes it very fast, but because of that, never wins a stamina battle. It needs to finish a battle quickly. The layer is good, but the disc is very light. It is good, but there are better options such as 2, 4, 7, and 0. Winning Valkyrie is probably the best attack layer right now, so it's not a surprise that it wins so much. But you might wanna keep a frame on the disc at all times, because its 12 disc has been known to damage other beyblades when the disc does not have a frame on. The Volcanic driver is alright for attack, but it isn't top tier. The disk is SUPPOSED to be loose so DON'T freak out... This is a marketing strategy by TT to make the bladers buy or win something called a level chip to insert it in the layer. RE: New to BeyBlades- Question about the new Super Z beys - MonoDragon - Jun. 01, 2018 Bloody Longinus doesn't work well in Opposite Spin Matches but is King in Same Spin Matches. The best Longinus out so far is Nightmare Longinus which works incredibly well in both Same Spin and Opposite Spin matches. As the others have said before above, the Disks are supposed to be loose RE: New to BeyBlades- Question about the new Super Z beys - Frostic Fox - Jun. 01, 2018 Wait, you're putting a frame on Winning Valkyrie's 12 disc, right? That disc will actually damage other Beyblades if not covered with a frame. I don't even keep mine in my collection because I deem it worthless. Also, know that mixing of Hasbro and TT layers and drivers will actually lead to damaging them. (As in, mix TT only with TT and separately Hasbro only with Hasbro. Frames and discs are fine to mix.) RE: New to BeyBlades- Question about the new Super Z beys - gkannon77 - Jun. 01, 2018 Wow this site is super helpful. So level chip fixes the looseness, wouldn't that increase their defense? Either way im not spending 200$ on it, thats just straight up greed to fix a bey that doesnt seem to fit right. I wonder if there is an easier/cheaper fix? I have Satomb from the Start Storm set, isnt that disc 2? Should I run with that for the time being? (I'll weigh it on my scale, as the BeyBlade.wikia site doesnt list the weight for 2 or 4, but does for 0 & 7. I will steal the plastic frame from my sons Genesis Valtryek and place it on his new Winning Valkyrie #13 forge disc. So just out of curiousity, is bL only a left spinning bey? I'll need to get anther L spinning Bey and test that theory that its good against other L spinning beys PS. Sorry if I am mixing up the TT and Hasboro names, we started with a Hasboro set but have since become huge fans of the TT products RE: New to BeyBlades- Question about the new Super Z beys - MonoDragon - Jun. 01, 2018 (Jun. 01, 2018 5:49 AM)gkannon77 Wrote: Wow this site is super helpful. The Longinus line is left spin only With what you have, 2 is indeed the best Disk you have RE: New to BeyBlades- Question about the new Super Z beys - Frostic Fox - Jun. 01, 2018 $200 is only if you buy the most expensive prize set, which comes with a golden Emperor Forneus layer along with a golden Level Chip. That's the 1st place tournament prize. The issue is, you can only get Level Chips from WBBA events in Japan. All those selling online are resales of people who earned them. The blue ones are a quarter or less than the 1st-place set due to being easier to get (no need to win tournaments, just collect participation tickets to exchange). Some people are just 3D printing their own, finding that close enough. Feel free to check out the discussion on Level Chips. RE: New to BeyBlades- Question about the new Super Z beys - gkannon77 - Jun. 01, 2018 Well we also have the Golden Xcalius D11, Horusood H2 claw, Wyvern (the green light up one), in addition to the Genesis Valtryek and Satomb S3. Thanks for reinforcing this. |
