I'm impressed with absolutely everything in this episode. The animation, the characters' voice actors jobs, and yup, even the outcome of Valt's and Free's battle.
The reigning world champion forfeiting is something we haven't seen in Beyblade before. Sure, the reason is somewhat disappointing, but I love how it was executed. It put importance on Christina's role in the series again, and Free's behavior on the roof after the battle was just heartwarming. One could really feel how the outcome of the battle changed him as a person, yet he's still the Free we know. And people who have experienced what it feels like to go beyond their physical limits and then have to deal with the painful consequences might relate to Free even more now. Not gonna lie, this was one of my favorite battles in the entire Burst series. A true congrats to the writers.
Well now, I can't disregard the second half of the episode. It's always nice to see our old protagonist team return. In contrast to others *looks at Shu*, they have kept their Bey spirit even though they weren't able to participate in the championships. You just gotta love the Beyclub. ♥
Oh, and apparently there is not Red Eye, only Zuul Spriggan. Possession confirmed, I guess that makes Shu's development less infuriating... somehow?
The next battle will be one hell of a ride, haha.

I thought Free was the most scariest blader...But Shu proved me wrong...I dont know why but while watching the episode...Everytime I watched Shu...I got chills running through me...This guy resembles Ryuuga so much...
White haired bladers r always dangerous...They may show calm outside but inside have volcanic strength

Beyblade Burst God - Episode 50 (Review)
WHERE WERE YOU ZAC?! gZ WAS WAITING FOR YOU :@
The episode was pretty damn good. The battle with Valt VS Free was pretty intense and had an interesting conclusion because after their epic clash, they both burst but Free forfeited the match due to reaching his limitations. He didn't seem to mind too much and his relationship with his team was pretty nice to see. I especially love the bond he and Chris have, to the point where she was the one convincing him to forfeit.
The BeyClub crew reuinite which is always nice to see, it has some classic Burst OST and some classic Burst feeling with the character interactions and humour. I was wondering where Daina was since I thought his last appearance wasn't very conclusive and Kensuke, oh do we all miss him ^.^
The Shu segments were pretty dang ridiculous tho. When Daina and Kensuke approached him, he had like a red aura surrounding him and the two visibly get blown from it as if it was real. Realism went out the window a long time ago so whatever... then he smacks Beus off Kensuke which causes it to rip and overall upsetted Kensuke. The scene with Alexander/Theodore was also ridiculous since Theodore was startled by holding Spriggan... just because Shu claimed he was Spriggan. I guess if Shu was really "possessed" then that means they're gonna use it as an excuse for Shu's behaviour and... he's not gonna gonna apologize when he snaps out is he...? Nope. I really hate how they make Shu seem so blameless. His "possession" was him being power-hungry. Admittedly, the scenes with Shu whilst silly are just too funny because of how exaggerated they made Shu and made him the single most ridiculous character in Burst, it's just so funny xD
Great episode, I can't wait for the last one.

Woah, that was a crazy episode, time for a review.
Free vs Valt was pretty good, really fast paced and intense but it is quite short. I think the trailer pretty much showed the highlights of the battle. The score remains 2 - 1 to Free... so yeah Free hardly lost really, even less close than the manga which had a score of 2 - 2. Maybe Free will return? Hmmmm?... Well afterwards Free seemed totally cool with forfeiting, he and his team have a nice moment and he seems to thank Valt for the battle.
Kensuke, Daina and all Aoi family besides the dad returns... along with Wakiya, oh great so Wakiya is thrown on the carp pile too. Shu did indeed slap Beus out of Kensukes hand and broke it, and predictably, Kensuke's sad moments were short-lived and it didn't affect him for very long, and much like the Free vs Valt battle, the trailer pretty much showed it all. Also, Shu had a dark aura which Kensuke and Daina could feel for real, I mean... wow his chi must be that strong.
Oh yeah, I actually thought Alex would be betrayed by Shu, but Alex seems happy with Shu becoming... uh... what he is. Seeing as this series had a sprinkle of supernatural elements, maybe Shu being possessed isn't too far fetched, even though this started off with him being power hungry, and still makes him pretty bad no matter how you look at it.
And yeah, every character ever known in Burst is back to watch the match! Akira!... and Jin... Zac too! Where were you before Zac you lazy idiot? Oh yeah Ghasem is back just like that too, and seems to be smiling, so I guess we'll never know what has become of Garuda huh... or what blade he uses. So much for him having a twist of coming back for revenge in next season.
The episode is pretty interesting and fun, though the best parts were all shown in the trailer anyway, so it didn't have too many surprises for me. I'm excited to see the conclusion of this series though, though I wish Valt actually beat Lui a full match at least once since he lost to him in first season which we were hoping would eventually be concluded too.

You've completely missed my point. I know that Valt technically won as Free forfeited, but it just seemed so odd for Valt to only win one point, it would've really shown the improvement if Valt bursted Free once and even though this is technically Valts first and only win, it would've been better if it was a Burst, and having the scores tied would make the progression feel more evident. As of now, the fact Free could burst Valt but Valt could only K.O him, it almost feels like there could be more to show for Free.

I agree with you , an my opinion although free lost the battle and a lost is lost that's not gonna change but it really seems like free could've get even stronger if it wasn't that his body quit on him, I personally think he would have won the match if he could do that
RE: Beyblade Burst God Episode 50 (March 19, 2018) - hykli - Mar. 19, 2018
As I observed, Free's special power can only last for 3 shots and it is one shot weaker than the other, he is just pushing himself to hard at the very beginning and exhausted too soon. He could of just stay clam like battling with Lui at the first 2 battles and could still win 1 point at the 1st or 2nd round and then giving his best shot by using the special power on the 3rd round.
Valt is just lucky to win the 2nd round and may not win again if Free change his mind to save his power on the 2nd round. Physically Free has time to recover in the middle of the battle.
On the trailer we see sR change its mode in the middle of the battle, which is very unusual. We guess it was changed by hitting the edge of the stadium by accident and not by the owner Shu himself, which mentioned in the manga and make him lost the 2nd battle.

At this point possession isn't out of the question since Daina and Kensuke were able to feel his aura which is another sign that realism in this series is gone. In the manga page with Fubuki and him, he seems calm again, so he might return, either as a mentor or some legendary blader (Not the 4D kind, but "Legend" as a status for him). Heck, if he was a mentor, he could teach bladers not to do this and that and get them to learn from his past mistakes.

i dont think that his skills will be gone after the possession is over. i just think that he's gunna have to come to terms with his quest for power and how it affected all of those around him and i think hes gunna make a choice to not blade again because it brought him to such a dark place and he was easily manipulated into becoming an experiment for an evil mastermind. Plus, destroying peoples stuff and hurting your friends is a pretty shameful way to get power and climb to the top, so i think he'll be forever ashamed of his own actions

That's Free's fault, if the match would've continued Free would've lost. And what makes you think Valt would've lost? The fact that he was giving everything he had and still failed to beat Valt, only shows that Valt is better than him. Valt could've continued, Free couldn't.
