I will definitely be getting the LoZ Breath of the Wild game at Launch.
I'm also going to get Dragon Quest Heroes I+II, XI, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 once they get released sometime this year.

The Switch looks absolutely amazing, but nothing they have at launch really interests me. (BotW looks cool, but i'm not too big on Zelda )
I'll probably pick it up whenever the new 3D Mario comes out for it, because that game looks awesome.
RE: Nintendo Switch anyone? - Jinbee - Jan. 13, 2017
The console looks amazing for sure, it's definitely one of the best Nintendo looking consoles so far. The launch titles don't look too interesting, although the Mario sandbox one is so weird, at first glance, it almost feels like Grand Theft Mario more than anything, but then I get a Sonic 2006 feel to it because it's an iconic cartoonish video game character in a more realistic world. Actually now that I think about it, because Mario feels retained in terms of it's cartoonish design more than Sonic did for Sonic 2006, I get a more Who Framed Roger Rabbit feel to it.

Oh man I have to wait until like 4 to get a preorder at target hopefully........
please dont run out cause they're going fast!!! : [
RE: Nintendo Switch anyone? - Captain_Pancake - Jan. 21, 2017
I'll probably get it since I want to play Zelda. But I probably won't get it a launch wait a few months for the price to drop or for them to announce a Zelda bundle/edition.
Also I like the fact that it becomes a portable handheld.

For anybody interested, here is my write up from my experience with the Nintendo Switch:
Backstory:
Before you continue reading, please know that the backstory does not have much relevance to the experience itself, and is just for my sake, quite honestly.
After playing with the Switch for a short time during my lunch break, I ran back to the mall as soon as I got out of my fourth period class. As soon as I arrived, I played some of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and I wrote about it in more detail down below. After letting others play, I met a young man named Sam who had just bought a Nintendo Switch and 900 Canadian Dollars worth of Switch gear in total (including the system itself and that 13% tax us Ontarians suffer from). I asked if I could see his Switch and hold it in it portable mode to see how it felt like since all the demo versions of the Switches were being played, and he gladly let me. It was a slim tablet, with the small, but comfortable Joy Cons. He even offered to let me play Breath of the Wild, but I chose 1-2 Switch instead so I could play with him. We did a round of Quick Draw, where he won, before the system shut down because it ran out of precious battery juice. He left and put it on charge at the Nintendo Kiosk. He returned 30 minutes later and let everybody who wasn’t playing on one of the kiosk’s Switches to play on his. It was mainly Sam, two mutual friends and I who played on it. It was such a fun experience, and incredibly kind of him.
Actual Experience:
I had my first taste of the Nintendo Switch before I even bought lunch. I played Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for a few minutes before letting others play, but even those first minutes left a good impression on me about the game. I later returned to the Nintendo Kiosk inside the mall to play more, where I played for about 12 minutes. With more focus towards the game, it was an amazing experience for the simple game play mechanics themselves. While I cannot judge the storyline of the game because of the lack of time, the free roaming aspect was great. Being able to run around and go at your own pace was fun, and didn’t make you feel forced to complete the game in a certain way. You could roam around while on your way to a destination without any penalties against you, or many restrictions. I soon hit a dungeon (I am pretty sure that it’s the correct name), where there were a few secrets, and it was an overall enjoyable puzzle-like experience. While I did not go through the whole dungeon, the parts which I did play taught me new skills that I believe would be important later on, and it was a learning experience without text. I can’t wait to experience the game’s plotline when I receive it, and actually play the game as a whole as my own.
The second game that I was able to play was 1-2 Switch. 1-2 Switch is a two-player game with 28 mini-games to choose from. When I first heard about it and saw its price tag of 70 Canadian Dollars, I thought it was ballistically high for what it is; a bunch of short mini-games. I played it today, and my original stance took a complete 180.
The game which I played the most was Quick Draw, which is where you use the Joy Cons as guns, and you lift and hit ZL/ZR when you hear “Fire!”, while pointing it at your opponent. This game was short, but was intense as you didn’t know when you would hear the magic word to be blessed with virtually shooting your soon-to-be dead friend (not really dead, though they should be morally wounded). I found the calls by this game pretty spot on as when I spectated, my opinions (and the opinions of others) matched the call of the game.
The mini-game which I found the most fun was Table Tennis. While I don’t play it much in real life, the game was very enjoyable for the reason you would barely have to look at the screen. You could hear when the ball hit your side, and also feel it in the Joy Con because of the HD Rumble (which was a staple of this game). This was probably the mini-game I enjoyed the most because of how intense it was with how fast the ball would get, making it difficult to hit at times.
I played only one other game which was Beach Flag, where you had to run (well, move your arm which held the Joy Con) until you felt it vibrate, where you had to lift it up (hence the name Beach Flag). It was enjoyable, but I was much more enticed by the other two mini-games I played. 1-2 Switch is a game you have to play with your friends, because no videos I have seen of it have done it justice.
The Switch itself (undocked) is very slim, and I like that about it. The tablet runs 720p, and when playing 1-2 Switch and Breath of the Wild in table top mode, it ran fine and I enjoyed it more than I did in handheld mode. The Joy Cons made be small, but they don’t feel like that, or even uncomfortable. I really like the minimal design of them, and they worked great when playing all games. I preferred playing Breath of the Wild with the Joy Cons separated, and even played a few minutes of it with behind my back just for fun.
Final Thoughts:
While I have pre-ordered the Switch and I still await its arrival, I still have a very positive opinion of the Switch from playing these games (which were the full versions, and not demos). It is hard to sum up the excitement which I experienced, but what I wrote should help you draw your own conclusions.
Thank you to Sam for allowing us to play on your Switch for an hour and a half.

It was interesting to read your review of 1-2-Switch (and the rest as well). Too bad apparently nobody would play with me though hah.
About Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, from what I saw it was really just like Final Fantasy XV but with worse/simpler graphics, less music, characters that are not particularly beautiful, etc. The story might compensate, but as far as free-roaming worlds go, I still want to go back to Final Fantasy XV more than get into Legend of Zelda, even though I already finished FFXV's main story. My brother bought it, but seeing him play made me satisfied that I was not missing much.

Thank you for the kind words, Kai-V!
Hopefully you can find somebody to play 1-2 Switch with since it's really fun, or I can fly over there :p
I've never played Final Fantasy at all, and I can't since I don't any other console than a Genesis, Wii, and soon a Switch, so I wish I could compare since I am intrigued. It hurts to hear that BotW is already outclassed by another game released before it, but I guess I will enjoy it when the day comes.
RE: Nintendo Switch anyone? - Kai-V - Mar. 04, 2017
Well, from the looks of everything and all the critics out there, apparently I am the only one who believes that, but for me the resemblance is striking. So, believe me, or believe most everyone who probably did not even try out Final Fantasy XV anyway, but who knows about calling it "outclassed" already hah. In my opinion yes, but I bet a lot of people are enjoying Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at the moment.
RE: Nintendo Switch anyone? - Hato - Mar. 12, 2017
I brought my Nintendo Switch to school on Friday with the sole purpose of letting my friends play, and here is the rundown;
I decided to bring my Switch to school on Friday, as many of my classmates expressed an interest in it. The only part I will be writing about is the actual time where people played it, which was at lunch.
As soon as our lunch break started, my friend Aidan and I headed for the quietest hallway, and we started playing the mini-game Quick Draw from 1-2 Switch. My friend Maryam came through the hallway and saw us, so I offered for her to play. I taught her the controls for Quick Draw, and by the end of lunch she only lost 1 round out of the 20 or so we did in total. She was born-natural at this game, and she quickly got hooked. My other friend Nithlen came to play after and he had been anticipating me to bring it. He also got hooked, and stayed for the rest of the lunch to play.
The game which we played the most was Quick Draw, since we just enjoyed how intense it was when you have to wait to hear “Fire!”. We were able to unlock all the mini-games, and played about half of the 26 mini-games there were. We mostly weren’t interested in any of the dancing games. Aidan and Nithlen played Sword Fight twice since we all wanted to play as many of the mini-games during the hour we had, but this was the game they enjoyed the once, and was the one Maryam and I enjoyed watching. It was hilarious to see them playing as if they were in elementary school, but also dream-achieving since it was the closest you could get to imaginary sword fighting.
One of my favourite games was Code Breaker because of its utilization of the HD Rumble, and the others also enjoyed it. This was a game I quickly got the hang of, and I started finishing quicker. While on the topic of HD Rumble, I made sure that my small group of friends playing tried Ball Count so they could experience the extent of the HD Rumble. Everyone was blown away by this game, and they found it to be quite accurate where the most anybody was off by when guessing was by 1 ball. I enjoy this game, and others that I showed after this small ‘demo’ session enjoyed it too (I will discuss that more down below).
By the end of our lunch break, we were all laughing and talking about how we felt about the Switch, and it was all positive.
After school finished and our March Break started, I headed straight to the mall with my friends Hayder and Danny in tow so they could also try playing on my Switch since they couldn’t try it at lunch. We grabbed a seat in the far back corner of the mall and started playing the variety of mini-games that 1-2 Switch had in store for us. To give some quick insight before I continue, Danny disliked the Switch because of it’s specs, some issues such as the dock scratching the screen and just how it couldn’t compare to other consoles in the market. With this in mind, I booted up Ball Count for my two friends and Danny was blown away by the HD Rumble. He thought it was great, and ended up winning the first two games they played (where Hayder lost by guessing only one less ball each time). They also played Table Tennis, which they enjoyed but found a bit difficult, and it is honestly a game where you have to keep practicing. They tried most of the same games which our lunch break squad did, and surprisingly enough Danny left with a more positive attitude towards the Switch. After Danny left, I put on Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Hayder, and with the 15 minutes he had he thought it was fun. Even with the 15 minutes he played, he enjoyed it and hoped to get it in the future so he could fully experience the game.
Having let 5 people play on the Nintendo Switch with all having positive reactions, I would consider Friday to have been successful in my eyes
