It's meant to represent its gimmick of unifying the Base and the Union Swords. Some Beys have names based on their gimmicks, while others have names that just make them sound cool.

Best I can tell, Wave is MAYBE a rubber flat surrounded by spiky plastic...? The picture's too grainy to really get a proper look though.

I'm saying burst resistance wise I love gwynn and genesis but why make the bey have low burst resistance. I bet Hasbro messed it up more
