Which gen do you think has the best TV show? - Real_ilinnuc - Aug. 10, 2016 I'm not asking a question, but want to start a discussion on the tv shows. This thread might have already been made but I couldn't find it anywhere. MFB has the best storyline IMO. I really liked most of the characters, and liked the plot of all the season (except for ZERO-G, I thought that one was really weak.) However, I really like Burst. Valt is way better than Gingka imo. Gingka a lot of the time really annoyed me, and while this is really only the english version fault, his voice was annoying as hell. What do you guys think? RE: Which gen do you think has the best TV show? - Jinbee - Aug. 10, 2016 I feel like there's a thread for this but, my thoughts of the shows are that they're all good in their own merits. MFB seems to have the most well written storyline, but 4D was more of a snoozefest than anything, but I enjoyed Fusion and Masters while Zero G was just... okay. The old gen was good as well, I loved 2000 for entertainment and G-Revolution which had some nice development and was enjoyable too. V-Force was meh, it had some decent episodes but a lot of ones I didn't care about, and I certainly didn't like the characters there. Burst, which I use to love now is just decent. I've noticed it's becoming very slow and that only Valt gets to win, the others in his Beyclub are test dummies for new releases cuz advertisement duh huh... If you disagree, that's perfectly fine. That is one issue I have with Burst within the first 11 episodes (I haven't seen the rest yet.) You see beys like Horusood and Deathscyther wreck everyone else, then get destroyed by Valt. The writing is making it seem like Valt is always the underdog, but he still wins everytime in the same way. Looses the first one, then wins by burst. Honestly this is how I feel too. I have a huge distaste for the Zero-G anime though, it feels like really fanfic-y (if that's even a word :P), and it felt like it was trying to hard to replicate the earlier series, but very poorly. (Tokonoske and Sakyo's relationship, the Kraken guy being an obvious expy of best character tetsuya, zero being a carbon copy of sora, etc.) And the English dub is the worst its gotten since Bakuten Shoot. Then, there's the opening... *shudders* :P Idk if this is an unpopular opinion or not, I don't think Dupstep fits beyblade at all, and yet it pops up on almost every mainstream beyblade video. The freaking official opening of Shogun Steel having a cringy Dupstep rap makes me wince every time I try to rewatch it. Then again, it's so ridiculous I can't help but love it anyway. (I'm a sucker for the weird stuff :P) Speaking of weird stuff, does anyone else think Kensuke is the best character in Burst? Honestly when I first saw him I hated him because he seemed gimmicky, but eventually he became my fav as I watched the show further. Honestly the puppets made him kinda endearing in a sense, and the way he uses them makes them seem like a coping mechanism for being shy and I'm kinda shy myself so I can relate to that. Then again, Im a sucker for the weird stuff, but I'm curious to know what everyone else thinks of him. :P RE: Which gen do you think has the best TV show? - Angry Face - Aug. 10, 2016 Moved to the Anime and Manga forum. RE: Which gen do you think has the best TV show? - Jinbee - Aug. 10, 2016 @[Real_ilinnuc] Yeah, and you can bet that the 'once new Beyblades' like Horusood, Odin, Yggdrasil and Unicorn finish using their advertising purpose, it'll eventually be thrown to the side never to be seen or become a test dummy, because it seems for the rule of the Burst anime that only Valt, Shu, Xhaka, maybe Wakiya and whatever starter beyblade owner comes up are allowed to win. It was a problem with MFB too but it wasn't an noticeable there and more characters got development and didn't get used for test dummies as much. Yeah I know Burst is only 19 episodes in but none of the characters aside from Valt in the Beyclub seems to get any stronger, in favour for advertising for the most part, typical Corocoro. @[TrainiacJ], I'll agree Zero G's major flaw is being a rehash of MFB, with the Neo Battle Bladers and Tetsuya like character Gen. The rap intro is bad but it's become a guilty pleasure of mine. I also really love Kensuke too, I also felt mixed at first but he is such an awesome character now. RE: Which gen do you think has the best TV show? - LOL-y Rancher - Aug. 10, 2016 Oooh, this looks fun! Bakuten Shoot 2000 - Good series with some memorable characters and a tournament-style plot. Only problems would include pacing and bad animation. V-Force - A series I don't like with some down-graded characters (and added a bad new addition), a plot trying waaayyyy too hard to be Pokemon, a horrible excuse for a World Championship and eugh... Episode 20 (worst episode of all time). It only has a few episodes I liked. G-Revolution - Best series IMO and is why I consider Bakuten as a whole better than MFB. With very good and memorable characters like Rick, Matilda, Ming-Ming, Brooklyn and others, good character development, great battles and a tournament-type plot that focuses more on the strained relationships of the characters rather than unoriginal carp like capturing bit-beasts... It also has some OST in both the Japanese and the English dub. Metal Fight Metal Fight/Metal Fusion - Decent series with some battles, improved animation, an okay plot and some decent characters. The gripes I have with the series is lack of character development IMO, a very cliche backstory and cliche twist, some forgettable characters with bland design and the battles can be repetitive with constant explosions. Also, Ryuga (whilst cool at first) wore out his welcome although he was the villain so I shouldd expect itl Metal Fight Baku/Metal Masters - Best series that MFB has offered because it goes for a tournament-style plot with some dark twists to go with it. Has some cool characters like Damian, has some cool battles and it's pretty colourful. Downside being Ryuga's return which (whilst made him more intelligent and helpful) still retains his OP status making most of his battles (except the one against Jack) boring and eugh... do I even need to say anything about Team Garcia and that annoying lil brat named Enzo?! Didn't think so... but the series was still fun. Metal Fight 4D/Metal Fury - Eugh...yeah, I may anger many people but... I don't like this series very much. Not that I thought it was horrible but geez the way it's set and executed. No, this has nothing to do with it's cut time slot because even back then, it was still a sluggish series because the execution is rushed and disappointing. It's a shame because the concept sounded cool but what ruins it is how slow the battles are, the dull characters that dress like they are from the late 1800s (seriously, they don't have to look old fasioned just because they're "Legend Bladers") and the bland atmosphere. Yeah, sure it has good animation and decent settings but everything else is boring. No, I do not care if it's darker, remember guys that being darker does NOT always equals being good. And oh no... Ryuga is still here and is the same boring OP character who was already past-his-prime since Metal Fusion (though, at least he is a little more developed and shows a little more empathy which makes him more likable I guess). Zero-G - A poor rehash of MFB except with even more useless characters that are obviously similar tp the Metal Fight characters. No, being a new generation does not excuse the rehashed characters because it seems waayyy too much of a coincidence for the characters to be similar to each other. I mean I do really like characters like Ren or Kira but did we really need another Tetsuya or Ryuga-type character (Gen and Sakyo...)? Oh yeah that's right, fanboys... The animation is alright too but damn, the battles are sooooo slow (especially for a series dedicated to having faster battles too...). Speaking of battles, why are they so boring? No seriously, for a series dedicated to fast moving and constant clashing battles, they seem to move at a snails pace and constantly crash at each other which isn't fun. The plot is pretty minimal as it fails to execute a plot until episode 19 and why did Team Garcia have to return...? And no, Enzo is still annoying but hey, at least Kira punished Team Garcia Burst Not gonna judge it yet but so far seems decent with some flaws.
