Bit Protector (BP): Heavy Metal Emblem
The Bit Protector of this Beyblade is Heavy Metal Emblem. It is the first mould verson of Bit Protectors.

Attack Ring (AR): Advance Survivor
Weight: 18g
The ABS Caul is composed of a symmetrical circular piece with four spikes which extend outwards between the four metal projections. These are often worn down through extend use, although this does not affect the Attack Ring’s usability.
This Attack Ring has a reversible metal sub ring, which is perfectly circular with four small rounded protrusions, making it perfect for Survival and Spin Stealing. By removing the top plastic portion of the Attack Ring, the ABS Caul, and reversing the metal sub ring, the orientation of these four notches can be reversed, hence making it suitable for both Right and Left Spin customisations. This is especially useful in Spin Stealing customisations, as highlighted below.

Use in Spin Stealing Customisation
Advance Survivor is a good Attack Ring for Spin Stealing, with its round shape and small protrusions, which help to steal spin:
AR: Advance Survivor (Advance Eterner)
WD: Reverse Defenser (Dranzer MF RBA4 Secret Black Ver., Dranzer RBA5 Yellow Ver.)
RC: Bearing Core (Wolborg MS) or Bearing Core 2 (Jiraiya MS)

Advance Survivor’s configuration should have the rounded edge facing the Spin Direction: for example, if using Advance Survivor in Left Spin, the rounded edge should be facing counter-clockwise.

Select your Running Core depending on the situation. If you expect to see more Attackers and older Stadiums or Tornado Balance Type S, you should select Bearing Core 2 to prevent knock out. If you expect to see Defence or Survival type Beyblades and Stadiums like Tornado Balance or Tornado Attack, you should select Bearing Core as it has better survival than Bearing Core 2.

Running Core (RC): Metal Sharp Core

Metal Sharp Core features a metal tip, as its name suggests, with a pointed tip. This allows the Beyblade to stay in the centre of the Stadium, with very little or no movement.
Metal Sharp is primarily a Survival Running Core, although it is often overlooked in favour of Bearing Core. Initially released with Wyvern DJ, it was seen as a high RPM improvement over Sharp Core, due to its metal tip, therefore preventing friction. The metal material also increases durability, while its tip shape also helped to alleviate the balance problem of Sharp Core.
Metal Sharp Core has good survival due to the lack of friction between the tip and the Stadium floor, and is relatively good at retaining its balance.

Use in Survival Customisation
Due to the survival Metal Sharp Core can achieve, it is often seen as a good alternative to Bearing Core and Bearing Core 2:

RC: Metal Sharp Core

The round shape of Advance Balancer, along with its good balance, makes it a good choice for Survival types. Alternatively, an uncustomised Advance Eterner is a good Survival Beyblade in its own right.

Advance Eterner has a number of useful parts. Metal Sharp Core is the best alternative to Bearing-based Running Cores for Survival, while Advance Survivor is a great choice for Spin-Stealing and Survival customisations; the ability to reverse the Metal Frame to suit the Spin Direction is a clever and welcome addition.

Bearing Gyros
The Bearing Gyros were products which Takara released as part of the Beyblade line-up, early into the “A” series (Plastic Generation) in 2000. These were a series of gimmick Beyblades with parts which were interchangeable with conventional Beyblades, and their main function was the performance of various tricks with the use of the included accessories. Bearing Gyros were one of the rarest regular release products in the Plastic Beyblade Generation.
These Bearing Gyros can be seen as the predecessors to Flame Pegasus and Magical Ape MS.

Gyro Mode
The Bearing Gyros consisted of a large outer shell composed of two parts, which enclosed the interior of a free-spinning Spin Gear, Weight Disk and Attack Ring. These are all suspended on a shaft with one NSK bearing at the bottom which cannot be removed, and another regular bearing at the top which can be replaced with another NSK bearing. A tip is attached to this shaft, and protrudes the “armour”. When enclosed, a Ripcord can be inserted into the side of the Gyro and pulled, causing the interior portion and the tip to spin on the shaft. While spinning, the user is able to perform tricks normally involving balance on the various accessories included.

Attack Ring (AR): Gyro Defense

Gyro Defense is perhaps the Bearing Gyros Series’ most valuable part which is compatible with other Plastic Beyblades. It is the perfect Attack Ring for Spin-Stealing and Survival types, as it features a perfectly round form made of two portions, each with a small notch used for Spin-Stealing.

Use in Spin-Stealing Customisation
Due to its extremely round shape, Gyro Defense is an extremely good choice for Zombies:

Overall

The Bearing Gyros were primarily gimmick based and took a different approach to Beyblade, but they included an extremely useful Attack Ring for Spin-Stealing. However, because of their relative rarity and the availability of alternatives for Zombie Attack Rings and the Gyro function, they have been relegated to collector’s items.

The Face on this Beyblade depicts Aries, the first astrological sign in the zodiac.

Aries was originally released as a bright pink Clear Wheel with three “heads” which point outwards, hence forming a roughly triangular perimeter.

Track: Eternal Defense 145
Weight: 3.6g
ED145 features three “wings” which rotate around the Track freely. The wings are similar to that of WD145. Because of their free-spinning nature, they can be used in Defense customisations, such as MF Libra ED145WB; however, the defensive capabilities of this part are not as effective as C145, as it does not absorb hits as successfully. The wings which rotate are hindered without the mechanism of a bearing, hence creating a force of friction between the wings and the body of the Track, in turn resulting in less significant damage absorption. Furthermore, it is easy for the low attacker’s Wheel to be caught between the Wheel and ED145, hence causing a lot of recoil and spin reduction to the Defense customisation.

Bottom: Ball [For use in # BB-11 Starter Wolf D125B]
The Bottom Ball’s tip is, as its name suggests, shaped like a ball. This semi-spherical shape provides a large area for the Bottom to make contact with the Stadium floor; hence increasing friction and making it more difficult to knockout. B’s shape also makes it likely to stay in the central areas of the Stadium, hence maximising the customisation’s distance from the Stadium exits. B is therefore suitable for defensive purposes, although has been outclassed in such a field with the release of WB. One advantage it holds over Wide Ball is that it has more Stamina, and does not require a weakened launch; B can be used if WB is not available.

Face: Sagittario
The Face on this Beyblade depicts Sagittarius, the ninth astrological sign in the zodiac. Sagittarius is the Archer, and this motif is prevalent in its Wheel’s design.
This Face is manufactured as blank, and comes with 2 Face Stickers.

Clear Wheel: Sagittario

The regular release of Sagittario is a yellow, transparent piece. It has several notches and protrusions. The design is loosely based on the original Sagittario, which features the two bow and arrows.

Metal Wheel: Flame

The Metal Wheel Flame was first released with Flame Sagittario C145S. It is predominantly circular, with two small spikes and two additional smaller gaps on its circumference. The Wheel is relatively thin throughout, with the very edge of the Wheel slightly thicker. Due to the design of Flame where the Wheel’s perimeter is raised slightly, more of the Track below is exposed compared to other Wheels, hence making it easier for other Beyblades to strike its Track. This significantly reduces its Defense capabilities.
With its round shape, Flame is currently a top-tier Stamina part.
Flame is Right Spin only.

Use in Stamina Customisation
Flame Sagittario DF145SD is a competitive Stamina customisation.

Track: Claw 145
Weight: 3.2g
C145 has three wings which extend outwards, each separately joined onto the underside of the Track. These are free moving, and hence when the Beyblade is launched, these point outwards due to spin velocity. Their free moving nature make them very effective for defensive purposes, as they are able to withstand low hits to the Track without significant spin loss. Furthermore, the Track is significantly heavier than non-gimmicked Tracks such as 145, providing extra weight essential for Defense. As such, the Track is an essential part for current Defense customisations.

Use in Defense Customisation
When used in MF Libra C145WB, the “claws” which extend outwards provide a very significant protection against low attackers such as Quetzalcoatl 90RF. This is currently the strongest Defense Beyblade customisation.

Bottom: Ball Sharp
Weight: 0.6g
The Sharp Bottom offers very little movement and as such gives no attack potential. The pointed tip allows for very little friction between the Bottom and the stadium surface, which helps prevent the loss of spin velocity. However, due to the fine nature of the tip, the Bottom is easily knocked off balance, and hence is outclassed by superior alternatives such as D or SD.

Overall
Flame, as a Wheel, is a valuable Stamina part, but the most important part by far of this Beyblade is C145. It offers unrivalled Defense capabilities against low Attack types, and is a crucial part in any Defense-based customisation. Every player should own at least one of this Beyblade.

Design
Weight: 4.7g
The Metal Face is exactly the same shape and size as a regular Face, except the top hexagonal portion is coated in a thick metal. The centre of the thread of the Face’s screw is also entirely metal.
The Metal Face is 4.7g, and compared to the 1.1g Face, offers a 3.6g weight increase. This weight increase can be useful in many scenarios.

Use in Defense Combinations
By adding a Metal Face to a Defense customisation, its weight is significantly increased, hence making it more difficult to knockout: MF Libra C145WB is a competitive Defense customisation which utilises the Metal Face in such a way.

Other Uses
Metal Faces can also be used in Attack customisations. The extra weight helps to slow down their quick movement, which can help inexperienced players control customisations with RF, for example.
While Metal Faces can be extremely useful in Defense customisations, they are not recommended for use with Stamina customisations. The extra weight has been shown to reduce spin time, hence decreasing the Stamina Beyblade’s main function.

Overall
Metal faces are primarily an extremely useful part in Defense-based customisations, although they can be used to add weight in any other customisation. An essential part, and hence every player should own multiples of this part.

This grip is the MFB equivalent to the Customise Grip from previous generations. While appearing to be similar in shape to the HMS Neo Customise Grip, the ambidextrous function is removed, possibly due to the different configuration required for the Beylauncher.
The MFB Launcher Grip can hold two type of MFB launchers; firstly, it can hold the regular Right Launcher with winder, while it can also alternatively hold the Beylauncher if the uppermost compartment is removed and inserted vertically. Indeed, it is further possible to insert the Beylauncher in the Right Launcher configuration, resulting in a pull which is 180°, as opposed to the conventional 90°, from the handle.
The bottom part of the Launcher Grip can be removed and used as a Key.

The Face on this Beyblade depicts Leo, the fifth astrological sign in the zodiac. Leo is the Lion.

The regular release of Leone is a transparent, blue-green piece. Leone is very circular with small ridge details.

Metal Wheel: Rock
Weight: 32.8g
Rock has six large protrusions with small, shallow gaps between each one. It also overhangs the Track much like the original Leone Metal Wheel, although to a smaller extent.
Rock is currently the heaviest Hybrid Wheel System Wheel to date. However, as a Defense type, it is unable to match the qualities of Libra, as firstly, it lacks the sufficient weight of Libra, and secondly, the shape of Rock produces a significant amount of recoil upon contact with another Wheel. As a result, Rock is an outclassed Defense Wheel.

Track: 145 (14.5 mm)
Weight: 1.5g
The 145 Track is the highest Track available. This Track is very high up and leaves the Beyblade open for attack from below, and doesn’t offer much balance.

Bottom: Wide Ball
Weight: 0.7g
The Bottom of this Beyblade is its most valuable part. WB is essential B, with a larger spherical surface, hence “wide”. As a result, it is seen as an improvement over B in terms of Defensive qualities. This is because of the greater surface area in contact with the Stadium floor at any one time.
However, because of this wider contact area, the Bottom also causes more movement compared to B. This is disadvantageous when facing an Attack type, because the Defense customisation is closer to the Stadium exits, hence increasing the likelihood of a KO. To prevent this, many launch WB-based customisations at about 60-70% power, meaning that the Beyblade itself stays in the centre, while retaining the defensive qualities of WB.

Use in Defense Customisation
Currently, WB is the preferred choice of Bottom for Defense customisations, in particular top-tier customisation MF Libra C145WB.
