I was joking!

Okay, at the same time I also asked "what if?" or "Is she?" I even pointed out that it was unlikely but a small chance, I wasn't certain even if I were serious. As I said, she's kinda out of place anyway so its probably from another anime.

Like the video, but I believe those are the same tops we've seen battle before, so seeing it Burst quickly shouldn't be too surprising (correct me if I'm wrong here, though).

Interesting to see how the man demonstrating the tops used "Let it Rip" instead of "Go Shoot!", though- considering this is for Asian audiences.

Yeah, that also took me by surprised, I actually didn't expect him to speak English, don't know why. This time, Valkyrie did seem to fall apart and also I heard the noise of flying metal, well it was more like dropping out of the table.

She appears to be wearing lolita fashion from Japan, not a costume.

Wat...

"buree" is pronounced like "bu-ray" a bit. I find it weird that you think it's appropriate to make fun of the Japanese language here?

Anyway, forget the girl, I just want to say that the stadium is actually really nice, I like it basic, I like the idea of Zero G stadiums but the basic stadium seems right for me.

I don't think the announcer would ask him specifically to speak in English if the intended audience were Japanese. It's more than likely that the video was made for an international audience and that's why he uses the English countdown instead of "go shoot."
But yes...poking fun of someone's English (or in the woman's case, Japanese) is pretty immature.

I didn't poke fun of their English, I was just saying that I never expected him to speak English, but now I know why.

Alright, maybe my joke was a little inappropriate. But I do know how it's pronounced, especially given the old MFB intro that was voiced over by whoever played Phoenix.

Edit: And I was poking fun at the spelling, not so much the language itself. Obviously Japanese is not ever intended to be written in English the Roman alphabet, so the spelling is always a bit funky when it is.

She was probably talking about from a couple posts above with the burrito picture.

I guess it was meant for a more international video, which is interesting since TT would not be selling Burst outside of Asia and that either way, they used Hasbro's tagline. I wonder if they'll change it to Let it Rip in Asia to have a more universal thing.

If it makes you feel better, I once accidentally wrote my name on a Japanese message board as "BURADDO" instead of "BURAADO", so everyone ended up calling me Mr. Blood.

They used Go Shoot in other vids. Make no mistake — this is gonna launch internationally, somehow, at some point.

They did? Didn't catch that, myself.

Man, then they realize that there was/is a large Western/outside of Asia crowd for Beyblade, then. Hasbro still has the rights, though- so we probably wouldn't see it here for a bit.

But yeah, maybe the Let it Rip is foreshadowing something, for all we know.

This system will be obsolete once rubber parts are introduced... Just saying

well... I'll give reasoning. In the metal fight generation, I noticed that the most dangerous part were the rubber flats. I still debate that they should be banned because on attack wheels, it causes immediate, high energy hits that cause stadium outs. Here, the energy would cause beyblades to burst more extravagantly, but also far more annoyingly, as there will be constant ties.

I guess Bakuten Shoot has a whole new meaning now.

Well the Battle seemed to be pretty short. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it does look fun. I wish there was a better video, or one that showed them off a bit longer than a minute or so just so we could get a better idea of how it all works.

As for localization, I'm sure it will eventually. Just might be a while lol.

Quote:d-rights, which is owned by Mitsubishi and Japanese advertising agency Asatsu DK (ADK), is also in the very early stages of a new Beyblade animation project. When completed, it will be distributed in Western markets by another ADK company, New York-based Sunrights.

I give it two years.

Unbelievably underwhelming.

A 3 part system?

...seriously?

Interesting gimmick, horribly uninteresting execution.

RE: TAKARA-TOMY announces new, third Beyblade generation: Beyblade Burst! ベイブレードバースト - Paper Lung - Apr. 23, 2015

Well, this is certainly a surprise. I wasn't expecting an announcement like this for another year or two. I had my fingers crossed for a reboot or continuation of the original series, but oh well.

And it's kind of silly/strange for the gimmick to be a flaw in that your Beyblade comes apart.

RE: TAKARA-TOMY announces new, third Beyblade generation: Beyblade Burst! ベイブレードバースト - SilverTsubasa - Apr. 23, 2015

I guess I'm a little late, but this sounds awesome! I was wondering what would come next. It is different to me, and okay the burst gimmick could be a little tiresome, but hey. It's better than nothing, and the speed is pretty good!

We already talked about this ... All generations have had the equivalent of three parts so far, with the Face being worthless unless it was a Metal Face, and Clear Wheels barely being good unless you chose four specific ones. Chaos Blader also calculated that even with just the four Beyblades released initially, there are 64 possible combinations already. They clearly reduced the number of parts to simplify customization for kids, while also making sure that each part was really important, unlike a Face or a Bit Chip.

RE: TAKARA-TOMY announces new, third Beyblade generation: Beyblade Burst! ベイブレードバースト - Giraton - Apr. 23, 2015

A good way to think about 3 part systems is that this is a new series, a new game entirely separate from the previous ones and will have new people to the game. If you have experience with any competitive collectable game outside of this one, then you will know that the first set of any game is full of simple stuff to get the key mechanics through, then every few sets they start adding new ones. You see this in Vanguard, Magic has a form of this in their base sets for any given block and even Yu-Gi-Oh did it at the start. You want your new players to feel comfortable with the game before you start throwing complicated stuff at them. Since the focus here is the burst system, i assume the first few waves of beyblades will have a few tricks relating to the mechanic, seeing how its the most interesting feature of this series.

Next person to complain about 3-layer system gets a one week suspension. Eternal president's orders.
