Metal fight system.

First rule make sure it says one of these: Hasbro, Takara Tomy, or Sonokong.
Buzztoyshop on Ebay actually has an awesome display of everything to look for on 4D packaging

He meant when you do not have the box anymore ...

SamPegasus, the colours are usually not as they should be, not the same tint exactly; also, if the parts were used at all, the wear should be excessive and not like when a real Beyblade gets worn out. Furthermore, if it comes with stickers, the Face one should be really weird. Parts also might not fit perfectly well together and with other pieces. Moreover, the moulding of the parts might be very "sketchy", where there are remains of the basic frame on the sides, especially on the Metal Wheels.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - SamPegasus - Jul. 31, 2012

Hey guys thanks for the heads up. I will just try to buy nIb

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Omega12 - Jul. 31, 2012

Also the metal wheels of real ones are dull if they are used. Rapidity seems to not dull, and have a gold tint to them.

Also look for badly cut out stickers.

Also worth noting, official beys are smooth all over, fakes almost always have rough areas from where the wheel was cut from the other wheels. Look for a sort of scar protruding from the wheel.

Was doing some searches for Wolborg 3, and this came up. is this even a real Beyblade? Should I assume that any beyblades in this packaging are fake? Capricorn Strike G???

It says that the manufactuer is Hasbro so I got to say that it's real

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - LeonTempest - Aug. 06, 2012

It doesn't say that on the box, just in the description.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Cannon - Aug. 07, 2012

Yes, Capricorn Strike G is authentic. It was a product released from Hasbro. The Base was swapped to the Gyro Engine Gear (Torch/Flame/Thunder Pegasus).

The bets part about this Beyblade is the AR, as it is much more sturdier than the Takara's, which is quite fragile.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Ingulit - Aug. 09, 2012

Okay, here's a tough one:

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=320959769439&cmd=VIDESC&index=0&nav=SEARCH&nid=93958271453

The seller's name has Rapidity in it, but the listing has Takara in the name and AFAIK Rapidity RDFs are yellow. What do you guys think? If it's real I'm going to buy a bunch, hah.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Kai-V - Aug. 09, 2012

Nobody else is willing to open boxes and sell parts separately. It is suspicious, hah.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Cannon - Aug. 09, 2012

I believe I bought a Takara Thief Phoenic from that seller..

They do sell other parts too; 4D bottoms, Sol Blaze track & tip, etc.

EDIT: That, or a similar seller..

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - aurawolf - Aug. 09, 2012

but isent rapidity usually the fake company

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Angry Face - Aug. 09, 2012

He could always just buy one to start with and let us know how it turns out later.

Yes, many people. I think they are listed in our trustworthy list, in the "Stores with Beyblades in stock" topic.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Trainer Red - Aug. 16, 2012

Beyblades from 7 Eleven are fake! They are from Rapidity! Should I point it out to the 711 staff?

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - TentacleZooka - Aug. 17, 2012

When I first got in to beyblading, I got fake beys. I didnt know that they were fake.

The beys were Variares, LDrago destroy, and beat lynx.

They ALL spun left AND right, they broke after 2 battles, Variares' light launcher lr didn't even work. FConfused was off balance, and they all came with metal tips. I got my money back immediately after I found out they were fake.
By FConfused I meant final survive

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Olencia - Aug. 18, 2012

Hey guys! I might be about to spend alot of money on something and I'm not sure if it's legit.

It's a set of three Driger G's, tournament prizes,
Gold, Silver, Bronze

I've looked around ebay, google and around the WBO, even the Wiki (turns out the Driger G page still isn't uploaded on the wiki?),, A test article for the wiki does mention tournament prizes with Driger G, but it they're Gold, Silver, White...

My question is, were gold, silver and bronze an acctual manafactured OFFICIAL beyblade recolour by takara/hasbro, or could they just be normal Driger G's spray painted? XD

Obviously I can't look at the box for the official Logo =P

Thanks for your time guys! =)

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - Kai-V - Aug. 18, 2012

They seem sealed, and I am quite certain that there were indeed gold, silver and bronze recolours of that particular Beyblade for Japanese tournaments.

And I think we can trust DustyPotatoes, from what I saw.

RE: theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching. - 50uNdW4v3 - Aug. 20, 2012

Need help on this:
Seller claims it's Takara-Tomy, but I'd like confirmation. I'm having trouble believing a Phoenic would be that cheap, for some reason.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Takara-Beyblade-Fusion-Metal-ZERO-G-BBG-09-THIEF-PHOENIC-E230GCF-RARE-NEW-/261084747509?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cc9dd16f5

Thanks!

The box which it comes in, as shown in the last picture, has the Takara Tomy logo. So yes, it is a legit Thief Phoenic.

I'm not so sure about that. The same seller has a "Takara Tomy" Shinobi Ifraid 230WD with a green crystal wheel for sale when its crystal wheel should actually be blue. So unless this is just a really weird defect, I don't think we should assume beys from this seller to be legit even if they have the Takara Tomy logo on the box.
