MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F - [)ragon - Dec. 07, 2013
MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Hey guys! Welcome to my first customization thread in limited format! Hope you like the custom!
The concept:
All out Smash Attack. Every part on this combo contributes to its insane smashing power. The concept isn't actually all that complicated. XD
This custom actually doesn't have as much recoil as you would think. I'd place it slightly above the lines of Gravity recoil-wise against most things. However going up against a lower opponent, it can be a problem, as H145 is going to be making all the contact, and the track has pretty high recoil. However, it's definitely a worthy trade-off for being able to deal with all sorts of heights, whether it be 85 or 230.
This custom can deal with so many dynamic heights, with such deadly force, that honestly if you're not using a competitive Defense type, you're most likely going to lose by KO. I have yet to test this vs. other Attack types (I have quite a shortage of testing for this custom as opposed to my many other combination threads), but I expect, with its slightly above average weight, it'll do decently.
The launch:
Nothing special about this launch. Just a normal sliding shoot. Banking a little bit deeper against lower opponents works slightly better for me, but the effect is so minor that using a normal sliding shoot will really work against everything.
Tests:
Vs. Defense:
MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F vs. Earth Aquario GB145CS
Calm CS. Oddly sluggish R2F. Aquario launched first on all launches.
Beat: wins, 14/20 (All KO)
Aquario: wins, 6/20 (All OS)
MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F win rate: 70%
Mind. Blown.
This is hands down my favorite limited format Attack custom of all time. 56% better than Gravity against mid-height Defense. Absolutely stunning performance.
MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F vs. Earth Aquario TH220CS
Calm CS. Oddly sluggish R2F. Aquario launched first on all launches.
Beat: wins, 9/20 (8 KO, 1 OS)
Aquario: wins, 11/20 (All OS)
MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F win rate: 45%
Lynx's one out-spin was just Earth getting beaten to death between ridiculous amounts of wall saves. This wasn't quite as good as Gravity, by by golly it's pretty darn awesome!
MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F vs. Earth Aquario 85RSF
Oddly sluggish R2F. Worn-ish RSF. Aquario launched first on all launches.
Beat: wins, 6/20 (All KO)
Aquario: wins, 14/20 (All OS)
MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F win rate: 30%
This is actually pretty decent. Along the lines of Gravity, although I didn't get to posting a benchmark for that. XD This was all H145's doing.
Very impressive numbers against Defense overall. I'm super excited that this combo did so well!
Vs. Stamina:
MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F vs. Burn Cancer 85WD
Cancer launched first on all launches.
Beat: wins, 10/10 (All KO)
Cancer: wins, 0/10
MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F win rate: 100%
I know Burn doesn't have the greatest Defense, hehe, but my Earth just shatter on the inside and then split in two after some Cosmic testing I was doing, so this is the best I've got. XD
MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F vs. Burn Cancer W145WD
Cancer launched first on all launches.
Beat: wins, 9/10 (All KO)
Cancer: wins, 1/10 (1 Freak KO)
MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F win rate: 90%
Burn's one freak-KO was a round where Beat slammed into it at a weird angle, and they both went flying into the air. Burn had a wall directly behind it, so it just hit the wall and jumped straight up while Beat flew out of the stadium.
Well, that's it! Sorry for such a shortage of results. XD Mah Earth done snapped in two y'all!
Well, I think these are enough tests to at least show this custom's potential. Thanks for reading!

Cool! Could you so some tests against attack, just to see how it fares?

This Seems Cool! I Should Be Seeing A Little Use Of This At Toronto's Next Tournament!
Oh Yeah, Just Wondering, Is This Hasbro's Beat?
RE: [LTD] MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F - [)ragon - Dec. 07, 2013
Yup. Later when I get the chance. I'll get some tests up against Gravity.
I also forgot to post Gravity benchmarks, so I'll do that later as well. I'm leaving right now, but I'll have them up tomorrow at the latests.

Yes it has to be Hasbro, TT's is 4D which makes it banned in Limited.

Nice testing, TBH. But the Limited Thread is basically going back to the old MFB parts, right?

Great results, I want to ask though, did you use a MF? If not, that COULD be the reason why it's doing well, xD. Isn't 70% against GB145 normal though? The 85 I understand, but GB145 vs Beat, H145, R2F, 70% normal? Oh, and 56% better than Gravity?
Because:
MF Gravity Perseus R145 RF vs MF-H Earth Bull GB145 CS
Perseus in right-spin. Calm CS. Worn RF with solid movement. Bull launched first on all launches.
Perseus: 13/20 (0 OS 13 KO)
Bull: 7/20 (7 OS 0 KO)
Perseus Win Rate: 65%
MF-L Forbidden Cancer 90 RF vs MF-H Earth Bull GB145 CS

Yeah, another Beat combo! Haha, thanks TheBlackDragon! I hope you don't mind if I could test this against other combos? I'll also do it against my "MF-H Beat Lynx 90R2F" combo.
Oh, if you don't mind as well....... Could I use this in a Beat thread I'm making?

Well, you've gotta remember that everyone's results with Attack are different. XD The thing is, my benchmarks with Gravity (which I will place here later when I have the chance), are 40-45%.
I also got stuck with a really annoying, super soft Hasbro R2F that moves slowly in super tiny little circles, so the range of movement is hurt a TON, which does a number on the results. If you can hit 65% with gravity, I wouldn't hesitate to say that you could hit 90% with this thing.
Oh, and, um, my MF broke (along with my 2 other ones). XD I've got a box full of broken Metal Face customs, only one of which works.
RE: MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F - Kujikato - Dec. 07, 2013
I have a broken BLACK MF, and the cores of my 2 Custom MFs are broken as well!
Hmm, do you have RF then? Does Beat have too much recoil for MF?
That aside, if you're able to get these win rates with a messed up R2F, this should be nasty!
RE: MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F - [)ragon - Dec. 09, 2013
I meant "Metal Face," not Metal Flat.
But yes, I tried this briefly with a new R2F a while ago, and it did noticeably better. In fact, I don't remember anything actually being able to beat it (IIRC I only tested against M/HTDC's).
RE: MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F - Kai Hiwatari - Dec. 14, 2013
Thank you so much theblackdragon for trying Beat out! Glad to see it performs well!
I remember when i got the Hasbro Beat, I just remember looking at it and saying, "Why can't you be as awesome as you look?"
This was definitely going to be one of the first Beat customs I tried, so if it is in the near future I am able to test, I will post some results here. Great tests!
RE: MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F - Tri - Dec. 14, 2013
Oh man, if only I had H145 and Beat! This thing seems great. I'm surprised H145 didn't help destroy the low track defense, which it seems to have trouble against. I'm very curious to see how it fairs up to attack.
RE: MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F - th!nk - Dec. 15, 2013
Considering even lower attackers generally struggle with LTDC when getting metal on metal contact, H145, which is really not that great an offensive part, not doing anything much is hardly surprising. Heck, I'm surprised it managed what it did, personally.
RE: MF-H Beat Lynx H145R2F - [)ragon - Dec. 17, 2013
H145 actually did a pretty decent job. During informal testing, there was one point where it actually went 8/2, but it didn't keep up. :\ Plus, the R2F I was using was one of those really super-soft Hasbro Bottoms that moves in itty bitty circles and can't keep up a wide movement pattern.
