"Are we there yet?" I mumbled, looking out the window.
"How old are you?" My mom asked, obviously very irritated.
"14 3/4." I mumbled.
"Well to answer your question, here we are." I jumped up, but was restrained my seat belt.
"Ow. Cool! So thats it huh?" I stared at the village. All the houses were cabins. It looked like a settlement that the pilgrims would have lived in. But I wasn't disappointed. It would be cool living in the wilderness. Much better than the densely populated city I had come from. We parked next to our new house and I jumped out.
"I'm going in!" I shouted, maybe a bit over dramatically. I ran into the house and looked around. It was cozy. Even if there were only 5 rooms. My mom and dad walked in a little bit later.
"You like it?" My dad asked.
"Yah!"
"Well you can go explore the village while we move everything in." I beamed and ran off, grabbing my Blitz Wolf C145MF and my string launcher on the way. I walked around the village looking at the shops and stuff when I heard a familiar clashing noise. I ran over to the source. Four bladers where all battling at once.
"Go! Alpha Wolf!" It attacked all three beyblades. The three beyblades began running away, following their bladers.
"Run Grand Bison!" The three bladers called in unison. The wolf blader was getting tired.
"We're almost there!" One of the Bison bladers called.
"Wolf! Attack!" Wolf began to catch up. I looked over to see what they were running towards. It was a branch stuck in the ground. Using the last of their energy, the three bladers got to the branch.
"We win!" The bladers pulled out strange objects attached to their launchers. They looked a bit like beypointers. I looked closer and saw that they worked like beypointers too. The three bladers shook hands with the other blader and walked away. He looked at me.
"Hi!" He called, walking over.
"Hi."
"You the knew kid?"
"Yuh-huh. I'm Simon."
"Caleb." He put his hand out. I shook it.
"You blade?"
"Yah!" I pulled out my Wolf. He smiled.
"Hey good! You'll fit right in here. And here's my blade." He showed me his Alpha Wolf GB145SF.
"Cool! Wanna battle?" He smiled.
"Yah. But here, we base our battles off nature. So this battle isn't beyblade vs. beyblade. Its a wolf vs. another wolf. And you're the intruder."
"Interesting. So no stadium I guess."
"Nope. Ready?" I nodded. "3, 2, 1, Let it Rip!" Caleb's Wolf landed in dirt and mine landed in the grass. I immediately saw my mistake. Alpha Wolf began kicking up dirt so I couldn't see it.
"Run Wolf!" I shouted, running away from the dirt.
"Not gonna work!" I looked around, then up. Alpha Wolf leaped out of the cloud of dust and headed straight for me and Blitz Wolf. It landed on top.
"Fight it off!" Our beasts appeared and began tackling each other.
"Head to the hills Wolf!" Caleb shouted. I followed him, expecting a trap. I was right. When Alpha Wolf reached the top of the hill, it sped down, its speed increasing greatly.
"Special move! Alpha Rush!" Alpha Wolf charged towards Blitz Wolf.
"Block it Blitz Wolf!" An explosion ensued. When I could see again, I saw Alpha Wolf barely spinning and Blitz Wolf lodged in the dirt.
"I lost." I muttered.
"You did great! Come with me." Caleb said, calling Alpha Wolf back and handing me Blitz Wolf. I nodded and followed him back into town. We went into a beyblade store. I looked around. Everything was separated like animal species. There were sections for Coyote, Wolf, Bison, Caribou, and Eagle beyblades. Caleb led me to the Wolf section. He went to a box of metal wheels. He picked out one I had never seen before.
"Here, we battle as nature does. I am the leader of a pack, or as you would know it, a team. Just as in a pack, there are three ranks. Alpha, Beta, and Omega. This is an Omega wheel. If you prove yourself to be superior to the other members, you will be 'upgraded'. Understand?" I nodded. He bought me the Omega wheel and I put it on my blade. Caleb also told me to buy a "point hunter", the beypointer thing. I did and attached it to my launcher.
"Meet me here tomorrow ok? I'll introduce you to the rest of the pack." I thought it sounded kinda dorky, the whole pack thing, but I guess it was their way of blading so I would just go with the flow. I took a look at the Omega wheel. It looked a bit like a bulky, right spinning, lightning wheel. Instead of the dragon heads there were claw-like protrusions. I smiled and walked home.
"You were gone a long time. Is everything ok?" My mom asked.
"Yah! I made a new friend and got my beyblade upgraded!"
"Thats good! Dinners ready ok?" My dad said. I nodded and sat down. I decided that I was really going to enjoy my new home.

I woke up early the next morning. I grabbed Omega Wolf and my launcher and headed downstairs. There wasn't any food that I liked so I walked down to the grocery store. I bought a bagel and some cream cheese. On my way home, I saw another battle taking place.
"Go Beta Wolf!" A girl shouted.
"You to!" Two boys the same age as the girl shouted. They teamed up and attacked a group of about 7 bladers.
"Counter them!" The other bladers shouted. The 3 bladers were greatly outnumbered. I took a closer look. One of them was Caleb.
"Go! Omega Wolf!" I shouted, running towards the site of the battle.
"Simon!" Caleb shouted in relief. The boy and the girl didn't stop to ask who I was, they were glad to have some help.
"Simon right? Help us out here. Attack from above." The boy said. I nodded.
"Pounce Omega Wolf!" Wolf obeyed, attacking the grouped beyblades while the other three attacked from different angles. I landed in the middle and attacked in a circle, knocking the opponents into Caleb's and the others' beyblades making them take huge damage. Pretty soon, they were all wobbling. I looked at the other three. I knew what to do and they did too. All at once, we ran towards our opponents, our beyblades in front of us.
"Go now!" We shouted at once. "Final Chase!" Our four beyblades surrounded the opponents beyblades and went in for the kill. The other blades were sent flying.
"We did it!" Caleb cheered. "Now, lets get properly introduced. This is Simon. He just joined the pack. This is Ethan and Hailey." Ethan nodded and Hailey smiled.
"Welcome!" Hailey said. "You're the new kid right?"
"Yah. Just moved here yesterday."
"Could I see your beyblade?" She asked. I called back Omega Wolf. "Omega Wolf C145MF. Cool." She nodded approvingly.
"Its ok." Ethan said. Hailey shot him a look. "Well it is." He muttered. I didn't want any conflicts since I was the "new kid" so I just shrugged it off.
"Lets go back to the village." Caleb said, also trying to avoid conflict. Everyone nodded in agreement. I was really starting to like it here. Who knows what kind of adventures I would have? I guess I would just have to find out as they came.

When we got back to the village, I saw 2 people waiting for us. Caleb walked over to them.
"Guys, this is Simon. Simon, this is Michael and Natalie." I smiled and they smiled back.
"What's you beyblade?" Michael asked. I held it out.
"So you're the new member?" Natalie inquired. I nodded.
"Cool. Here are our beyblades." They held out two Omega Wolfs. Like mine.
"Omega Wolf 105WD and Omega Wolf 230D." I said. They beamed and nodded.
"Are you guys related?" I asked. They nodded.
"Lets go for some lunch." Hailey said suddenly. "I'm starving." Everyone else agreed so we went to a diner in the middle of the village. While we were eating, I was told more about the "pack". The other bladers we had faced earlier were a neighboring pack from another village. Then, we saw an explosion outside the village.
"We should check it out." Caleb said. We all got up and ran to the site of the explosion. We saw a five-on-one battle taking place.
"Go Burn Kiyot!" The lone blader shouted. He was trying to fend off one of the other bladers.
"Go! Beta Wolf!" The other blader countered. Kiyot was knocked back.
"Attack!" Two bladers shouted in unison. "Omega Wolf!" The two attacked from both sides. The remaining three bladers joined in. Kiyot was shot into the air and fell down, no longer spinning. The blader picked it up and sighed as he transferred points to the other bladers "point hunters". Then he walked away. The other bladers turned towards us. Caleb glared at them.
"This is our territory. What do you want?"
"Just a little battle is all. Do you accept?" Caleb nodded. The five bladers readied their launchers. The six of us did the same.
"3, 2, 1, Let it Rip!" All 11 of us shouted as our beyblades sprung into action. Caleb took the reigns.
"Simon, Michael and Natalie! Make a wall in front of Hailey and Ethan. Hailey and Ethan, get in front of me!" Once the triangle formation was complete, we charged. I saw the strategy Caleb was using. We would do as much damage as we could then retreat and then the next line would do the same then the last line would. This was none of us would take to much damage and the other pack would. Soon, the opponents beyblades began wobbling.
"Lets finish this off! Final Chase!" Caleb shouted. Our beyblades charged in unison and sent their beyblades flying into the air. They landed in the dirt.
"We did it!" Michael cheered. We held up our point hunters and got our points.
"Great battle guys." Caleb said. Then, something weird happened.
"Lets battle Caleb." Ethan said, in a way to serious tone. "Now." Caleb looked at Ethan and saw he was serious. Everyone stepped away and I followed suit.
"Whats going on?" I asked Hailey.
"Ethan is trying to become the leader of the pack. He's going to face Caleb in a one-on-one battle to the end." Jeez. They are really serious about this whole nature thing, aren't they. I thought to myself.
"Ready?" Ethan smirked. Caleb nodded.
"3, 2, 1, Let it Rip!"

"Alpha Wolf! Head for the rocks!"
"Follow him Beta Wolf!" Caleb and his beyblade were clearly faster than Ethan and his beyblade. Caleb jumped on top of a rock and disappeared.
"Watch out Wolf." Ethan muttered. He walked around cautiously, looking around. Then, he saw something fly in front of him. He snapped his head towards the object immediately realizing his mistake. Alpha Wolf jumped out of its hiding place and smashed into Beta Wolf. Ethan went on the attack.
"Go Beta Wolf! Smash him into the rocks!" Beta Wolf hit Alpha Wolf, knocking it into a rock.
"Alpha Wolf, bring him down!" The Wolf beasts came out of both beyblades. Alpha Wolf tackled Beta Wolf. "Again!" Caleb shouted. Ethan saw he couldn't take many more attacks.
"Beta Wolf! Trip him!" Beta Wolf tripped Alpha Wolf, causing the beyblade to wobble. "Now attack!" Beta Wolf charged.
"Kick up some dirt Wolf!" Caleb ordered. Ethan growled, trying to see what Caleb was doing. When the dust cleared, Caleb and his blade were gone. Ethan jumped on top of a rock and looked around.
"Over there!" He said to himself, slinking off to follow Caleb.
"Does this happen a lot?" I asked.
"Not really. I've been expecting Ethan to do this for a long time though." Michael said and Natalie and Hailey nodded. Meanwhile, Ethan was catching up to Caleb. He found him standing in front of a tree, smiling.
"Whats so...funny?" Ethan panted. Caleb didn't say anything, he just kept smiling. Ethan was fuming. He began to slowly walk up to Caleb. When he was a few yards away from him, Ethan made his move.
"Finish this now Beta Wolf! Attack!" Caleb was ready. He waited until the last second and jumped into the tree, with Wolf following him. Beta Wolf hit the tree and slowed to a stop. Ethan kicked the ground and picked his beyblade up. Caleb got down from the tree and called back Alpha Wolf. Ethan stormed off.
"Is he leaving for good?" I asked. Caleb shook his head.
"He always does that. He'll come back though." I shrugged, Ethan had seemed pretty mad. "He might've won. If he hadn't gotten angry so easily." Caleb said.
"Gets'm every time." Michael said. The four of them walked back to town.

A day had passed and Ethan still wasn't back.
"Has he left the town?" I asked Hailey, when we met after lunch.
"Nah, he's probably just in his room, sulking." I nodded. The rest of the gang showed up and we went to train. After battling and running and stuff like that, everyone went home, except for me. I had seen a huge hill during training and wanted to go check out the view. It was a long climb, and I guess it was worth it. The view was great, don't get me wrong, but there were tons of rabbit holes I kept stepping into. I sat down and watched the sun set. Pretty soon, I had dozed off.

When I woke up, I saw someone looking at me. I sat up with a start.
"Oh sorry, did I scare you?" It was Hailey. I shook my head.
"No, I just got startled. Pretty cool view right?"
"Yah. I like to come up here and watch the sunset, and just relax sometimes." In the distance, I saw someone sneaking around. I tried to get a better look. It was Ethan.
"Hailey, isn't that Ethan?" She looked where I was pointing. She nodded.
"What's he doing?"
"I don't know, but I think we should follow him." I go up and started walking down the hill. Hailey followed.
"Where's he going?" I whispered as we got closer.
"This isn't our territory."
"So what, you think he's trying to invade their land or something?"
"No. It would be foolish to try and invade a neighboring packs territory on their own."
"Is he betraying us?"
"No. He has his faults, but he wouldn't do that."
"What then?" Hailey shrugged. "Beats me. Lets not lose him though." We kept following Ethan, staying hidden and trying to figure out what he was doing. Hailey turned around suddenly.
"We're being followed." She muttered. I looked around. I thought I saw a light movement too. We both grabbed onto our launchers.
"Well, well, well. What have we here? Two little kiddies that have lost their way." A huge figure appeared out of the shadows.
"For your information jumbo, we're not lost." I said, glaring at the huge figure.
"Well this isn't your territory is it?"
"If you really want to know, we're following someone."
"Thats not nice you know."
"Its our teammate, so back off buffalo butt."
"Flattery will get you no where."
"But a beyblade will." I said, pulling out my launcher.
"Simon. We need to follow Ethan." Hailey said in my ear.
"Ok your right. I'll deal with you some other day. For now, I think your best option is to audition for 'Biggest Loser'. Astalavista." I started to walk away.
"You ain't going no where."
"Thats your not going anywhere to you, and who's gonna stop be?" Then, tubby launched his beyblade at a rock, blocking our narrow path.
"Stuck between a rock and a hard place. Could this get anymore cliche?" I mumbled, pulling out Omega Wolf.
"3, 2, 1, Let it Rip! Go, Orso!" His beyblade began to ruthlessly attack Wolf.
"Fight back Wolf! Confuse him!" Wolf began attacking from all sides, in a random attempt to knock Orso off balance.
"Basalt Orso! Smash him into the ground!" Orso jumped into the air, and came crashing down on Wolf.
"Wolf! Are you ok!?" The Wolf beast appeared, and was pinned down by the Orso beast.
"Come on Wolf! Use your claws!" Wolf began to scratch Orso, causing it to weaken. Wolf then got up and jumped onto Orso. Sparks flew everywhere.
"Wolf! Head for that tree!" I know, I know. The old dodge at the last second trick. Who's gonna fall for that? Well, for starters, this dope.
"Follow him Orso!" Just as I said, the nincompoop came charging after me and with a well placed dodge, he was toast.
"No Orso!" I called Wolf back and held out my Point Hunter. We started to walk away.
"Did you see where Ethan went?" I asked Hailey.
"I think so. He couldn't have gone to far. Lets go." I nodded. "Great battle by the way."
"Not really. He wasn't that smart."
"So what, Wolf was good, and so were you." I smiled, then began to look around for any sign of Ethan.
"Where could he be?" I muttered.
"Looking for someone?" We looked around. "I'm up here. I've been expecting you."
"What is this!? Cliche day!?" I yelled. Ethan only laughed.
"So what're you doing here anyway?" Hailey said. Ethan shrugged.
"Well I figured, since Caleb is so cool and strong and stuff, you guys are just fine with or without me. So, I'm gonna start my own pack were I can be the leader. And one day we'll come and beat you guys." I laughed.
"Yah well good luck with that. Because while you're looking for people to join your dumb new pack, we'll be training."
"Whatever. You can only get so strong you know." Then, he was gone.
"Has that ever happened before? Or is this another cliche thing?"
"No, it hasn't happened before, as far as I know. But we should have seen it coming. Well, we should be getting back." Hailey said. I nodded.
"When will we tell Caleb and the others?"
"Tomorrow."
