RE: General One Piece Thead - GHero - Mar. 10, 2022
One Piece has a TCG now. It seems very simple and approachable for new players. Here’s the official website. I will post what we know so far below.
Rules:
Each player uses a Leader card. It determines the players life. The Deck is made of Character Cards and Don!! Cards. You play character cards to attack your opponents Characters (and potentially their Leader as well). Like Leader’s these cards have Power at the top right and Cost at the rope left, but that’s it. You have to pay the cost to use the card.
You seemingly pay the cost through a form of Meter, it’s default Maximum is 6 bars. Placing one card face down is one bar, so to play Yamato, who has a Cost of 3, you need to use 3 of the face down cards in your Meter, meaning you use 3 bars. It goes up to 6 though, so you cannot play an infinite amount of cards on your turn. For example, you can only play 2 Yamato. There seemingly is a way to extend the Meter, but it caps out at 10.
Don!! Cards are actions. You play them whenever you want (there’s no cost) during the appropriate time, and they do stuff. For example, one could say: Your Turn (When you can play this) Power +1000 (What it does, in this case you would get 1000 power to add onto one of your cards in play (Characters or Leaders).
It’s that simple. Over time it could get more mechanics, however it’s clearly very beginner friendly. It’s also collector friendly, since barely any text on the card means it’s mostly Art.
Products:
Booster Packs
BT-01: Romance Dawn
Starter Decks
Straw Hat Crew (Luffy Leader)
Worst Generation (Kid Leader)
The Seven Warlords of the Sea (Crocodile Leader)
Animal Kingdom Pirates (Kaido Leader)
Starter Deck FILM RED edition (Deck based on the new movie).
Other
Official Card Sleeves
Important: Please chill on the spoilers. Discussing potential cards (Navy) and potential mechanics (Evolution where Luffy upgrades into the next Gear) is fine. Characters and events will come up, and that’s a given, but stuff like recent character deaths is a bit much.

One Piece OST - Awakened Luffy's Perfomance: Powered up Luffy fighting sounds more like a confirmation that its all luffy DF awakening rather than joyboy power up tbh but none the less i really like how they capture the drums of liberation thing

My guess is that through his DF Awakening he’s earned the title of Joyboy. Kaido implies anyone can be Joyboy, meaning that it’s probably not only just a title, but has requirements. Maybe that was the last requirement. I also recommend checking out the Luffy vs Kaido one of you haven't heard it yet.

New chapter was great, but reminder we have no idea what’s going on
All we’ve seen is that Luffy has a general power buff and can turn the ground into rubber. The Gorosei’s statements can be taken a number of ways too.
Now to clear up some things:
First of all, Human Human is Nika model because Nika is a mythical figure. Not just irl but in the story they are praised as a (sun) god like being.
The Gorosei had no reason to kill Luffy earlier, because there’s cleary a requirement for Gomu Gomu’s full power. Luffy could only do this now, not whenever he wanted. They would just be killing a kid that hasn’t done anything, and then restarting their chase again, since the fruit would reincarnate elsewhere.
Why rubber, it’s simple, cartoons. Classic cartoons, full of crazy and fun hijinks, are famous for characters moving like they’re made of rubber. Crazy and fun is a description of Luffy.
So Human’s the most powerful fruit? No. They said ridiculous, ridiculous means crazy and wacky. Human Human let’s the user do stupid stuff, that’s it.
So now that weave gotten assumptions out of the way, what even is the fruits power? As I said, we don’t know. You can make assumptions, but in the end they’re assumptions, and we’ll still have to wait for answers.
Can Luffy freely manipulate his body, but only within the confines of rubber? Maybe. Can he turn himself and things around him cartoonish, allowing him to stretch and expand stuff? Maybe. No one knows.
In conclusion, this is literally last weeks discourse again.

I’m pretty sure we know what’s going on pretty well. The Devil fruit was explained relatively well and although there’s some questions, I think we have a pretty good grasp of what’s going on. Luffy has the human-human fruit model: Nika. It has the properties of rubber but obviously we see he’s awakened it, which appears to turn him into the being of Nika as well as gives him what rubber awakening would be. He’s probably wrecking Kaido in the next chapter and will end the battle of Onigashima by doing so. The only real questions are what other abilities he has beyond rubber and what Nika’s other abilities would be that Luffy has access to now that he’s awakened the fruit. Other than that I think we have a pretty good grasp of what’s going on.

1. It might not even be rubber. As I stated the entire concept of it being a seemingly rubber style ability is just because of it's reference to cartoons, meaning it may just be rubber looking, while the power is being like a cartoon.
2. As you said, we have absolutely no idea what this fruit actually does. Turning surrounding stuff into rubber, that's pretty much just a DF awakening. Everything else he's doing it just Gear 3 (body expansion). What this fruit grants beyond a generic power boost is unknown.
Extra:
The thing with this fruit is that so much of it's actual power is hidden by it's name, despite the name usually being the most obvious explanation of what a DF does. Human-Human, ok, he's already Human. The important part is that it's model Nika, however we have no idea what Nika would entail as far as power goes. Cartoons? Fire? Luffy's also not revealing much, since as I said, he's just using his normal abilities for the most part.

You make a good point with Nika since we don’t know what that side of the fruit does fully yet, but, at least in the English translated scans, it’s stated by the Five Elders that the user of the Human-Human Fruit Model: Nika gains the properties of rubber. Also going into more depth it can be seen chapter 1044 that the awakening allows him to turn his environment into rubber and the rubber properties of his body strengthen exponentially, also stated by the Five Elders from the English scan.

That's true, but they were very vague though. They mostly talked about freedom and how the user's only limited by their imagination, but the question is in reference to what.
