Considering how big the world is and the notion of mentioning usually the well known nations and then encountering the smaller ones and those of a different national origin can really come off as an alternative view.

World Urbanism Day - 11/8/15 .... I hate my calendar.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Half Nail - Nov. 09, 2015

I'm kind of conflicted right now. Over the past year or two I've amassed a decent retro video game collection. I have about 5-10 titles for the GameCube, PS2, Xbox (the first one), PS1, NES, and Dreamcast (and of course each of those consoles). I've always wanted to have a huge video game collection, because I love gaming history, and of course, I like the old games. The thing is - I haven't played any of these games in a long time. Like, I haven't touched them for months (close to a year really). Right now, extra cash is always welcome, and every day I debate on whether or not I should sell of the majority, if not ALL of my collection. It's currently serving me no use, and I could easily make $200-$400 off of everything I have, but at the same time, I still like the games I have and I have a big feeling that if I unload them now I'm going to regret it later. It's already happened once - I sold off a really nice burgeoning collection of NES and SNES stuff so I could afford my first (and still to this day only) iPhone back in freshman year, and it didn't take long for me to wish I hadn't. It's just, right now with getting ready for college, doing senior year schoolwork, and other new hobbies such as learning bass guitar, collecting vinyl/CD/tapes, and of course, getting back into Beyblade, game collecting (at least, amassing a big retro game collection) is seemingly becoming less and less of a big deal to me. Which is sad, because I still love the history and collecting aspect of it - but I'm just not playing anything and I'm collecting at a snails' pace to the point where I can't even really call it a hobby anymore. It seems like this'll have to be something I do later down the line when I have a steady job and more time to support a hobby like this amongst everything else. But, like I said, it took a while to amass what I have and I may regret getting rid of what I managed to get if I ever get back into it down the line.

I know in the end this comes down to "it's your stuff, you decide what to do with it" but I'd love to hear anyone weigh in on what you would do, or if you've had a similar experience with something else at least.

Too me, it's like this. If you sell the games, you get needed money. If you don't and you don't have enough money, you lose them anyways. Don't and do have enough money, you keep them without regret and might end up playing them again.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Cake - Nov. 09, 2015

I would personally keep most of your collection; if you sell them and try to buy them later, you may find that the games you sold are more difficult to obtain than they were when you sold them, and thus you will end up losing both time and money trying to rebuild your collection. I would suggest selling a few games that you really haven't played in a looong time, or otherwise aren't interested in returning to. But don't sell off your whole collection just because you want some new shinies - you almost always end up losing in those kinds of exchanges.

You've made a big investment in your collection; don't dump it all for some quick cash unless you are certain that you won't regret it later, because "later" you will find it's a lot harder to turn that cash sum back into real items.

I actually have considered the bolded point, just forgot to write it down. Good points, I might consider keeping most of it then.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Tri - Nov. 10, 2015

So this morning when I was getting out of the shower, I dried my hair with a towel like normal. When I stopped I turned my head and I had the worst pain I've ever encountered in the back of my neck as it made a loud cracking sound. I tried to be quiet because my dad was asleep. I couldn't move my head or my right arm. After a while I could move a little bit so I woke up my dad and he offered to go to the ER but I said no because I didn't think it was too serious. I drove to school and realized how wrong I was when I couldn't hardly turn my head to look both ways at a stop sign. So I left school and now I'm on my way to the hospital. There is a knot near my spine now as well. Wish me luck.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Kai-V - Nov. 10, 2015

Considering that your right arm seems better, I am hopeful about the diagnostic. Still, good luck.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - MissingNo. - Nov. 10, 2015

Oh man. I would personally be freaking out already. (I used to crack my neck very often.) I hope you'll get better soon.

Kai-V, I still don't know what to say about your avatar. It's kinda weird to see you without your brown-haired Gingka-headband avatar, haha.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - FIREFIRE CPB - Nov. 10, 2015

Good luck @[Tri] I hope you get. I just got scared by just reading. Anyways you will get better soon,

I crack my neck, back and almost all organization. Except nose lol. My mom say don't crack too hard or don't do any harsh movement that may damage. I know why she say that now. I don't want to scare anyone

By the way Kai-V's avatar is bit scary. I don't know why she changed it. That old avatar was already awsome.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Meta madness - Nov. 10, 2015

I seriously hope I didn't miss the train.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Kai-V - Nov. 10, 2015

I am not certain how long I will keep it, but it is just a representation of the expression "cut the ground from under a person's feet", which I have been doing a lot these days.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Neo - Nov. 10, 2015

Sorry to hear, Tri.
I hope that doesn't affect possible attendance at The Name Changer.

HOLY carp
Kai V changed her avatar?

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - FIREFIRE CPB - Nov. 10, 2015

5 years ago I fall from stairs and I can't move my head, arm, neck but after few hours pain decrease and next day I was perfectly fine. But after 5 years my back still pains a bit

Looks to be that way neo, had to double check just to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Tri - Nov. 10, 2015

Well, it's a cervical strain. It was a spasm that caused my neck to jerk over like it did. I got an antiinflammatory shot and I have to take a lot of ibuprofen. It hurts a lot still. I'm happy I didn't pull the muscle closer to my spine at least. Its still super knotted up.

Thanks guys for wishing the best.

All I can think when I hear that is basically sending them to hell

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - Kai-V - Nov. 10, 2015

Nobody knows that expression, hah ? In French, it is litterally : "cutting the grass from under a person's foot", which actually makes a lot more sense, especially for the avatar concept I had in mind. It basically means that you take them off their anticipated fake pedestal. Read definition #22 here : http://www.thefreedictionary.com/cut+the+ground+from+under+feet

Also cool that everything is good, Tri. Of course they woud just tell you to take ibuprofen hah.

RE: Random Thoughts 5 - READ RULES IN FIRST POST - DRAGON KING - Nov. 10, 2015

I took it in as the expression "cutting your feet from under you" or as Tri said, sending some to hell, haha.

Dude, that sucks. I broke my wrist when I was in kindergarten and I couldn't write for a day or so. And because of that my teacher gave me a bad grade on a handwritting worksheet. tbh it was pretty mean of her

So the guy I taught everything to is doing really well with his bitcoin business. It wasn't so long ago that he was asking me to go step by step through how to understand and profit with bitcoin. Made me super proud for some reason, I mean I didn't have anything to do with his business that was all him.
