Tried focusing on smudging techniques more than background.
I wanted the hand to look as if it is holding a soul, one that is emitting light and the light escapes through the fingers.
One of my watermarks on the lower left corner.
Border color was on whim. Might change it.

This is awesome. I love the simplicity. But I think it could have a bit more depth/contrast, this will especially help to bring out the light and shadow better. Like this,
