Ambigrams! - Doompenguin - Aug. 08, 2008 So I decided to try my hand at making ambigrams today. If you don't know what it is, it's basically the art of drawing a word or phrase in such a way that if you turn it upside down, it either reads the same as it does right side up, or reads as a different word or phrase entirely (usually an opposing concept). These aren't as good as some of the ones I've seen, but I think they're OK for a first attempt. RE: Ambigrams! - Doompenguin - Aug. 08, 2008 It may be because I drew them as pixel art, and then blew them up. The first one is supposed to be good/evil, and the other is attack/defend. I guess they aren't as good as I thought XD RE: Ambigrams! - Bey Brad - Aug. 08, 2008 I saw Attack/Defend, but not Good/Evil. RE: Ambigrams! - Doompenguin - Aug. 08, 2008 Ok, I went back in and did what I should have done the first time: I drew them by hand and scanned them in. It may be a little easier to read now. RE: Ambigrams! - FFX - Aug. 08, 2008 I wish I could post some of my friend's stuff, he did this really amazing one..you literally can't tell the difference.. RE: Ambigrams! - Nic - Aug. 08, 2008 We did symmetrical ones some time back during really boring lectures. It was a kind of fad for a few days last year in school. |
