That's just carp terrible. They are breaking those kids, and some for stupid stuff. Wearing Inapropriate clothing? And Cursing?

The fact they kidnap you, isn't that breaking some Human Rights law? Hell, if this wasn't in Jamaica I'm sure those people would try to get emancipated.

That is carp disturbing.

wow

I can't get over this.

RE: I want everyone here to read this. - Pathetique - Jul. 20, 2008

It's funny how emotionally immature adults pass such judgment unto their kids. Their inability to handle their children has forced them to seek an alternative to parenting through money and lovelessness.

Personally, I couldn't help but think how I'd conduct myself in a place like that. Would I succumb to the "program" or would I stand defiantly forever? Would I break? In my mind I would want to be the person that they couldn't change. But, torture-level discipline has me bouncing back and forth.

RE: I want everyone here to read this. - Kei - Jul. 20, 2008

This is absolutely awful. I can not understand how a parent could do this to their child, no matter how troubling he/she is. What Pathetique said really sums it up.

Ugh, don't post in topics like this if you have nothing but carp like this to say.

I am more disturbed by what I was thinking as I read these articles than by what I read in them. It brings up in my mind the debate over whether a person should have freedom or life, if they could only choose one. For a few sad moments, I actually thought that what these people do is justified, because it may save somebody's life.

At what expense, though?

Do you really think that these people saved lives? Do you really think that doing pot or having a black boyfriend or whatever the carp these kids end up doing to get sent to this hellhole is a slippery slope to suicide?

Even if that is the case, there are countless other avenues that don't involve having your children kidnapped and flown to Jamaica to live in a brainwashing camp.

You're missing an important keyword in my post:

Thought. Past tense.

And the reason I thought that was not because of suicide, but rather the belief that running with a certain crowd long enough will increase your chances of getting shot, stabbed, beaten, or otherwise meeting an untimely and grisly end.

But, as I read further, I learned that sending people to these prison camps produced similar results. Which is why I considered the few moments that I thought these guys may have some justification to be very sad moments indeed.

RE: I want everyone here to read this. - Bey Brad - Jul. 20, 2008

Yes, it is sad that even for a second you could imagine something so completely carp crazy could be justified.

Locked in Paradise PT.1

Locked in Paradise PT.2

Locked in Paradise PT.3

I am so glad that my relatives never thought of this when I was younger.

RE: I want everyone here to read this. - Train - Jul. 20, 2008

This isn't a cure this is "how to raise a serial killer 101" Honestly if their that bad they need juvi or something kidnapping them to "live" in a place like this would not bode well for the parents. I mean if you were sent to some place you were beaten and starved and possibly even raped do you think that you'd be the model citizen that they claim you are when you come out? No you'd be a total bloody sociopath. I've never had a high opinion of people to begin with, but to think anyone is stupid enough to think this would work it's just too much for me.

RE: I want everyone here to read this. - Synesthesia - Jul. 20, 2008

Being a Christian myself, I disapprove of suicide in nearly every case imaginable, but I honestly couldn't see myself not contemplating suicide in a place like that. It would constantly run through my mind all the time.

It's a hellhole. Atleast with prison and Juvie you know when your time is up. This place offers you no hope, and forces you to submit completely, and utterly. You are allowed two paths. Death of individuality, or brutal torture. Not much of a choice in my opinion.

Kind of sad that this is not even close to the worse thing that can happen to a person. This is just a taste of what our shithole of a world has to offer.

The evil human beings manage to muster is appalling.

RE: I want everyone here to read this. - G - Jul. 20, 2008

I don't have much to say about this since I can't get the right words for it... but it's really horrible that parents would do that.

RE: I want everyone here to read this. - Nic - Jul. 20, 2008

It's pretty amazing how they can call it a "boarding school". There's better ways to do it, and they have been proved to work.

RE: I want everyone here to read this. - Maz - Jul. 20, 2008

Honestly if i ever sent my kids there i would be afraid that they would murder me opon there return.

Maz Wrote:Honestly if i ever sent my kids there i would be afraid that they would murder me opon there return.

If any of my former self as a kid was retained after leaving that place, I'd probably kill the people who sent me there.

RE: I want everyone here to read this. - To - Jul. 20, 2008

I was watching a bunch of Batman animated features, and the Batman Beyond feature had a chapter that reminded me of this (although it isn't exactly something I can forget so fast).

It was when the Joker kidnaps Tim/Robin and breaks him, through torture, into becoming an obedient boy, to think that the Joker, and that lady(Harley? Er...Whatever her name is) are actually Tim's family, as well, they dress Tim to look exactly like the Joker. The Batman arrives and confronts the Joker, the Joker commands Tim to get a gun, Tim complies. The Joker than harps at Tim to shoot the Batman. Durring what seems to be a short second, it looks as if Tim was contemplating if he should shoot his former father figure, the Batman, or his current, the Joker. Tim shoots... the Joker. Before falling down and sobing.

Obviously that was a work of fiction, sadly unlike places like Tranquility Bay. But it is often said, fiction is based upon reality, with only fantasy added to make it more dramatic.

This is carp horrible. Thats all I can really say...

RE: I want everyone here to read this. - bugturtles - Jul. 20, 2008

It's quite hard for to comment on something such as this.

Upon reading this, I have decided that I will never send my kids to a place like this.

There are other ways to discipline a kid, but this is not one of them.

It's quite depressing to read that some places like this actually exist, and parents will actually put their kids in places like those.

RE: I want everyone here to read this. - Pich - Jul. 20, 2008

Ya, its really depressing, I've gotta go play some video games or something to get my mind off the subject. Its freaking disturbing.
