I spent the past two weeks refinishing my drumset. It used to look like this.

Simple black wrap around the drums.
So I had this idea to refinish it.

Removed the glue with thinner, and sanded it smooth, then dyed it.

Then lacquer;

I think you mean tranquil? Anyway, you should consider using Firefox.
I'm glad this turned out well. It was rather worrying while working on it. The downside is that my house STILL smells of lacquer.
