RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - Hato - Oct. 26, 2015 So, yesterday I decided to barbecue before the season ends. What better way than with some homemade burgers? The patties were a mix of pork, beef and veal. Mixed with them was a new seasoning I got called Hickory Garlic, which was basically a smoky garlic. I also put some Bullseye Sauce (Guiness version) in the mix along with some other spices. The bun was ciabatta with garlic butter, which was later toasted on the grill. On the burger was Swiss cheese, onions and maple bacon. Extremely good, had 2 since I didn't have lunch, and here is a pic: Spoiler (Click to View) RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - Redemption - Oct. 26, 2015 It looks great, however I'm not fond of seasoning beef with anything other than Salt and Pepper. A nice rib-eye or sirloin with salt and pepper cooked to medium rare is to die for. Then again, you did put pork on it. It's salt, pepper and some other spices mixed together. It's great. Aww, sirloin with salt and pepper at medium rare is great. <3 Yup, the mix is great. Extremely good. L-Drago 9207 - Nov. 01, 2015 I know that I could heat up some canned chili on the stove, and on some occasions, mash it. Plus, I know how to make a stove-grilled sandwich myself. RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - MissingNo. - Nov. 01, 2015 I cooked macaronis yesterday, I'm so proud of myself. ( It was seriously lame ;_; ) RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - Hato - Nov. 02, 2015 Had a late breakfast and no lunch, pretty hungry, so made a nice sized meal: [Image: 10gbrro.jpg] Pasta done in Rosée sauce (from Classico), fast fry beef seasoned with Montreal Steak Spice, italiano, garlic salt (I swear by this) and a peppercorn medley, and with the big amount of italiano, it was great. The veggies were just done mixed in olive oil and garlic salt (see? I swear by it). Great dinner, and I do this similar thing every other weekend. RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - Zoroaste - Nov. 02, 2015 Damn Hato, you are like the best cook I have ever seen for your age. You should become a chef or something. One of my buddies is an executive chef at a resort in Maine and makes bank. I got that once on accident when I wanted to get garlic powder, ruined my whole steak RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - Tri - Nov. 02, 2015 Sliced potatoes, summer sausage, onions, and jalapeños all fried together in a giant skillet is one of my greatest creations. It looks highly unappealing, but its definitely something worthy of being a meal around where I live in the boonies of Indiana. Help me think of a name for this monstrosity. Harbinger of Breath Mints. seriously though, that must taste amazing RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - Kai-V - Dec. 14, 2015 So I cook, notably to save my life : [Image: jaYhgDK.jpg] Teriyaki pork with bananas on a bed of rice [Image: kM3h7ak.jpg] Fried polenta with beets mixed with some tuna and feta cheese (plus other things) [Image: 6PmD4AQ.jpg] Gnocchi with creamy parmesan, chicken and spinach sauce [Image: AwXJwXa.jpg] Gyuudon with stupid North American beef cut [Image: L9mu50K.jpg] [Image: tncuTY3.jpg] Gnocchi with tomato and meat sauce And ramen that One-Launch Man and I made during the summer, I think : [Image: ik4mxYL.jpg] RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - MissingNo. - Dec. 14, 2015 God, everything looks so fancy compared to what I eat, haha. The teriyaki pork with bananas kinda scares me, to be honest. RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - Neo - Dec. 14, 2015 Gyudon, huh? Looks good. Well, my father cooks for us at least one week out of two and he does the least fancy type of meals, so we need some real cooking in our lives once in a while hah. Yo the pork is great, fruits need to be used more often in meals; is it the arrangement of tomatoes that scares you hahah ? (Dec. 14, 2015 3:18 AM)Neo Wrote: Gyudon, huh? Looks good. To be honest, I was expecting another taste so I found it just decently good, but my mother kept praising how amazing it was hah. RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - MissingNo. - Dec. 14, 2015 No, it's just the bananas and the teriyaki sauce mixed with meat, it looks super weird haha. RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - Kai-V - Dec. 14, 2015 And the polenta does not repulse you more hah ? RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - MissingNo. - Dec. 14, 2015 It's not the look, it's just the fact of putting bananas with meat and other stuff hahaha. The polenta seems interesting, I like most of the listed ingredients, but the mix is still kinda weird. I guess I'm not mentally ready to eat weird flavour mixes like that :') But who knows, maybe if I try it I would like it ? RE: Cooking Thread: your "i cant cook" jokes aren't clever - Bey Brad - Dec. 14, 2015 Well, pork is often cooked with pineapple, so I am not sure banana is much weirder. That said, plantain is great, too! Good dishes, V!
