Yeah, the covers in GH3 are much better.
Although there are a few stinkers like the Stevie Ray Vaughn song. God, the guy they got to sing for that song is carp horrible.

Well to pass really you just have to keep your "Rock" meter from dropping to zero.
And yes, I'd say without a doubt GH3 is harder for newbs.
I actually had a harder time with GHII, well, up until the last tier of the GHIII setlist >_>

like 6 of my friends got GH3 for Christmas so I'm sure some people on this board did too.
I'm trying to beat career mode on hard, I got stuck on Slash, whom I finally beat,
then I got stuck on that retarded song by Queens of the Stone Age, which I beat last night,
NOW I'M FRIGGEN STUCK ON RAINING BLOOD BY SLAYER.
so i kinda quit career mode for awhile.
latest accomplishment was beating FCPREMIX on hard. felt pretty good when I finally did, lol.

I've played Guitar Hero, but I don't own a console or the game (don't know why I would own a game if I didn't have the console lol), my friend owns it and I've played on his. I've only played on medium, which was a little easy but I totally suck on Expert
