RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - Bey Brad - Oct. 17, 2007 get the carp out of my neighborhood you carp vandal RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - bugturtles - Oct. 19, 2007 i think it's legal until you tag/sticker/stencil/paint on private property of any kind (privately owned walls cars etc). I've got sticker designs, but I'm moving towards stencil. I'm planning to get a respirator soon. RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - G - Oct. 19, 2007 I always thought this stuff was cool but it's not really my style. RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - mdhvdukshsj - Oct. 19, 2007 thanks for wasting my tax dollars RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - Spinster - Oct. 19, 2007 Here's a question... is it still considered Grafitti if it's requested and legally placed somewhere? RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - Alice - Oct. 19, 2007 A lot of grafitti - the kind done by teenagers who just like to tag carp - looks bloody awful. But, there's a really famous grafitti artist in Britain called Banksy. No one knows exactly who he is, but he has done some amazing pieces. http://www.banksy.co.uk/menu.html The outdoors section is the best. RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - SK - Oct. 19, 2007 Alice can't you like do a WHOIS on that domain to find out who he is? lol Quote:Whois Record Did I just break the mystery or something now? lol RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - bugturtles - Oct. 19, 2007 Spinster Wrote:Here's a question... is it still considered Grafitti if it's requested and legally placed somewhere? If it's on your property, yes. Well, I'm pretty damn sure. This one is (obviously) my favorite: http://www.banksy.co.uk/outdoors/images/landscapes/kissingcoppers3.jpg lol RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - Blue - Oct. 21, 2007 i agree personal private property should be out of the question. but spinsta what do you mean? if the owner commissions graffiti? bansky is crazy cool. but what I don't understand is how the big stencils he puts up come out so perfect, he uses quite a few colours, and..its big. i guess its comparable to a piece but still boggles me for now. It makes me so happy when the artists also become successful in other fields, like the amazing Fafi. It has been suggested that Lazarides is Banksy also going under the name of gHOSTbOY. However Lazarides is actually Banksy's manager and Banksy has gone to great lengths to conceal his identity.http://www.briansewell.com/artist/b-artist/banksy/banksy-biography.html He constantly pops up in the newspapers. RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - Blue - Nov. 09, 2007 bansky is afaik cert. GANGSTA RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - TheUnkownGod - Nov. 09, 2007 BlueSZK Wrote:so what do you ppl think? I think you should get a real job and stop vandalizing other people's property (if thats what you do). But even still Grafitti is truly an art that I really do like RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - Nic - Nov. 09, 2007 I love the designs but hate the concept. A pity that once you take graffiti and make it legalized and controlled, it's no longer graffiti but graffiti-styled art. Still, the style is really awesome. RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - Blue - Nov. 10, 2007 haha i have a full time job, and while i'd like to paint burners imma toy. but man I wouldn't vandelise a real persons property per say, a company or corporation is fair game tho RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - bugturtles - Dec. 08, 2007 I just did about 5 pages of tags with a blue BIC permanent marker. I used fine point, and I'm surprised with using it. I can control which line is thick or which line is thin. I'm gonna use the best tag I've made and use it for printing size. I have a bit of a headache, but I think I'm gonna be okay. :O RE: oooh pretty Grafitti - Blue - Dec. 13, 2007 yo turtles If you could scan some of that, it would be fresh i got som shiz too...f..
