RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Themailman - Oct. 10, 2010

Hey has anyone thought about seeing if we could get an official tournament going at Saboten-Con in Pheonix? It seems like there might be enough interest, and if we could get a decent turnout it could be super fun!
Just a thought...

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Wagalashi - Oct. 10, 2010

sure im in anyone else?

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Themailman - Oct. 11, 2010

Well, I think we need 8 ppl to have an official tournament. Plus we need to get some bey stadiums, someone to organize it (not me, I suck at that kinda thing), we need to find out if we can even have one at the convention (if we can't we can just find a nice big park and try to drum up some interest). First we should get the eight ppl, so far we got two, and see if we can draft a decent proposal.
Any ideas?

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Wagalashi - Oct. 11, 2010

well Margaret T. Hance park might do...

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Themailman - Oct. 11, 2010

Like a moron I forgot, the Saboten-con is from October 1st to 3rd, and as it is the 10th and my time machine is still in the shop, that dosent quite seem feasible. Margaret T. Hance park sounds good, will google map it. Where are you, anyway?
Anyone else care to join?

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Wagalashi - Oct. 11, 2010

im in Phoenix, Arizona

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Themailman - Oct. 11, 2010

Cool. I'm in Tucson. What do you think we should call the event? I think the guidelines for a sanctioned tournament are 8 ppl, a name, and a location. We have 2 people, so far. I think a buddy of mine could come too (Loteo). We should ask around, see if we can get some more people (maybe we should start a thread?)

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Wagalashi - Oct. 11, 2010

well this is just a thought... we could call it

Valley Of The Sun Bey Bash or Sun Bey Bash

we'll need 8 people and an okay on everythin'

we could have it at Margaret T. Hance park maybe

what do you think?

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Themailman - Oct. 11, 2010

Valley Of The Sun Bey Bash sounds awesome. We can probably get 8 ppl easy. We should decide on a format (I think open 'cause that would be more inviting to everyone). Also, we need a date. I was thinking like a Saturday, maybe in a month or so (so we can get a lot of planing and whatnot done). Guess you and I will be in charge. I think the park sounds solid. Think we should start a thread for this?

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Wagalashi - Oct. 11, 2010

well sure maybe we should make sure we have bladers though and not get ahead of ourselves Wink

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Themailman - Oct. 11, 2010

Good plan.

Okay, anyone who wants to join the fun please post so. Are goal is 8 people (at least).

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - Themailman - Oct. 11, 2010

Also, my buddy Loteo should be coming too, so we are up one more!

RE: [Arizona, USA] anyone? - DaijoubuQuest - Oct. 12, 2010

If it's predicted to be on a Saturday, I'm sure that they'll be down for the tournament. We've been waiting for quite some time to meet other Arizona bladers.

As far as helping with set-ups, my friends have three stadiums. One of them happens to be a Japanese stadium. Even though we seem amply stocked on stadiums, if you guys need some, we'll haul ours out too.
