Discs on their own have no stars. TT and Hasbro carve the stars into them, taking away weight. When weight is taken away evenly in 4 sides that’s 4 stars and perfectly balanced. With 0 stars it’s even better since it’s perfectly balanced and just a tad heavier. Although, the disc being heavier can lead to less burst resistance but taking away stars really doesn’t affect that at all.
