Layer Base - Erase (Takara Tomy) - p0l1w4g06 - Sep. 23, 2021

Erase (イレイズ, Ireizu) is a Layer Base released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst System as well as the Gatinko Layer System. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-142 DX Starter Venom Diabolos Vanguard Bullet on July 6th, 2019.
==Description==
Erase is a left spin Layer Base with 5 counterclockwise spinning blades angled upwards.

In theory, the blades should give the Erase combination more stamina by cutting through the air and clover upper attacks. In truth, neither of those functions really work as Erase’s blades don’t really protrude out as much as Zwei’s metal dragon heads and doesn’t have as much stamina as past parts like Archer Hercules and Perfect Phoenix.

Furthermore, Erase is very thin and light which hampers its burst resistance, making it unviable compared to other options such as Hell Salamander.
==Overall==
Erase’s 5 bladed shape doesn’t do what it was supposed to do, and it light weight made it very unviable in the Judgement and Zwei dominated GT meta game. Furthermore with the release of Abyss and World which perform better in stamina and Attack combinations than Erase, as well as Doible Chassis, Erase has become outclassed.

As such, Erase is recommended for collection purposes only.

-You've said it's left-spin, if you say it has counterclockwise spinning blades it might be confusing and people might think there's a Wyvern-esque sub-layer that spins counterclockwise. Might just be me though.

-I'd say Erase's main goal is for Upper Attack, (I know the official description of Erase says it increases rotational force, but it's negligible), and Erase's attack is ok at best. In my experience the blades slope too high to produce Upper Attack like Zwei does, plus the gaps in the layer don't allow for maximum attack, which you've mentioned. I'd just recommend moving the thing about Stamina to the bottom since it's not of much concern

-Erase + Diabolos is heavier than Hell Salamander, and since I haven't seen Erase combinations burst much (as compared to Wizard/Dread, which have intentionally low burst resistance), the Burst Resistance of Erase isn't really the issue. Still, I agree for defensive purposes Salamander (or Naked) is better, and for Attack Zwei.

-Might want to mention Rage/3A combinations in your second-last paragraph for Attack.

Good work otherwise!

Finally a good wiki bey review! All these other ones talking about trash stuff and saying “a must have” but you are here telling the true colors of the erase base and going in depth not just to make people get the bey. Great work my man!

It isn’t super thin, and it has more attack then hell salamander. But at the time of its release you already have better options so yeah

Erase is a left spin Layer Base with 5 counterclockwise blades angled upwards.

In theory, the blades should give the Erase combination more stamina by cutting through the air and deliver upper attacks.

In truth, Erase's upper Attack potential is limited by its blades sloping higher than Zwei's metal dragon heads and the gaps between the blades.

Furthemore, its stamina potential is not as viable as past parts like Archer Hercules and Perfect Phoenix, and is even likely negligible due to the blades having similar issues as Boost or Nine.

Finally, its light weight makes Erase combinatiosn necessitate either Diabolos I or Goku to be heavy enough to hold its own, and even then better options exist.
==Overall==
Erase’s 5 bladed shape doesn’t do what it was supposed to do, and its lightweight makes it coutclassed by Hell Salamander and Naked for Defense and zwei for Attack, as well as Lord and Left Master for balance. Furthermore with the release of Abyss and World which perform better in stamina and Attack combinations than Erase, as well as Rage and 3A, Erase has become outclassed.

As such, Erase is recommended for collection purposes only.

I played with Erase Diabolos I 00 Star Atomic/Destroy' some time ago, and it was able to survive getting hit by Rage. It seems to do better in same spin (eg it outspun Salamander intsead of Hercules on Outer Eternal)
